These boots are so comfortable! Right out of the box, no need to break in. I feel they are true to size. I love that they?re waterproof. I wore them in the snow and my feet stayed warm and dry. Great traction. I love these boots because they?re both fashionable and functional.

Great fit, true to size and broke them in fairly well in 9 days. Just wore in the snow and had dry warm feet. I love these boots. I had a pair of the originals in high school and was happy to get another pair before they sold out!

I really liked the fit of this shoe and last right out of the box - the comfort really is like a tennis shoe and you can?t beat that in a light hiker. The lacing is well placed and higher ankle coverage feels supportive without constricting. Insole seems moderately supportive and I like that I can change it if needed. I haven?t worn on a sustained hike yet but am confident this will be a great light hiker/well established trail shoe for short/moderate hikes.

My favorite hiking boot. One boot took a little breaking in, but otherwise fantastic. The waterproof ones get warm, so better for cooler temps. Love the style and the comfort.

I haven?t taken them out in the wild just yet-however I did try them on at home and they feel great! I expected a more rigid/stiff feel and was surprised they weren?t. It?s almost like they?re already worked in and ready to go! Excited to try them out on our next trip. Will keep you posted on traction and waterproof abilities!

I am loving these boots. I wear them 5 days/week for my job as a USAR dog trainer at National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. I am on my feet all day on various surfaces: sidewalks, streets, slippery/sandy hillsides, rubble piles, etc. They?re comfortable, light, durable, stable, and look great! They?ve already saved my ankle once or twice working across the rubble pile. They seem to run true to size. Thanks, Danner!

Good work boot, is true to size and holding up well so far. I?ve sprayed it with a suede protectant, and they seem to keep water out over the past month. Fairly non-slip, but not really intended for high slip environments. Easy to clean, easy to replace insole and laces later on.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Acadia NP. I didn?t have a lot of time to break them in before the trip, but fortunately these shoes really didn?t need much. On our trip they did well with both hiking and climbing, however there was some slipping with wet rocks. Overall I really like how comfortable the shoes are and I?m pretty impressed with their performance so far.

I walk in the rain with them and my feet stay dry, they are so comfortable. My foot doesn?t ?lift? out of the shoe when I walk so I don?t get blisters. It?s light weight. I walk 6-8 miles everyday, rain or shine and this is my preferred shoe to do it in ;)

I fell in love with this shoe the moment I saw it online. Couldn't order right away because my size wasn't available. Received an email alert that Jag Steel Gray/Blue was back in stock. Decided not to purchase but to wait and see if shoe would go on sale. Waited several months and was able to get them on sale. Love the color. Shoe is very comfortable and it is such a classy shoe. I ordered about 4 different pairs of jag boots to try and I actually did not keep this color- but went with the mocha bc it was more neutral. I had a question on the sizing bc of reviews and the customer support was wonderful in answering my questions. After wearing jag boots at a family camp this summer in Colorado for a week- I would say they were a must have. I had chacos, walking shoes and these. Between the extreme flux of temps and dusty, rocky and sometimes muddy terrain, there were several times I was grateful to have these perfect boots. From hiking to horseback riding, they were awesome. I live in Florida, so I was a little skeptical about my need for these boots- but I am from Michigan and visit family there several times a year, as well as other family members in the Tennessee mountains. I know I will use these a ton! And perhaps I will even find use for them in the cooler seasons in Florida. One tip I have, is try with different socks. The winner for me was wigwam ultra max thin wool socks. They are truly a gamechanger with these boots. I did not get any blisters with this combo. The boots themselves are lightweight and breathe well. They were waterproof in light rain as far as I could tell. I wear a size 8 and they fit just right with the thin wigwam socks. Not sure if they stretch with a thicker sock. If you have a chance to buy your normal size and a half up- I would do it to try them both on & return whatever works. I returned 3 boots with no problem (unworn and tags on).

Shoes looked really nice. I was disappointed by how stuff they were. I wore them for 2 weeks to break them in and they did get softer but the insoles are not comfortable. Not a comfortable shoe for all day.

Great hiking shoe! I bought these for a trip, going to the Sequoias and Redwood forests for a lot of hiking and walking. These were comfortable, sturdy and I didn't slip, except for the super sandy areas, but the grip was still pretty good. They are not heavy, but of course not light like a sneaker. Actually, I think they are about the same weight as my Vans slip ons. I didn't get a chance to go through any water, so I can't speak to their durability for that. But otherwise, these are fantastic. Depending on the brush, I'd recommend calf size socks to avoid getting any dirt or small rocks in the shoe. The ankle opening is not huge, but if course not tight either. These are worth it. I had only seen these shoes online from a Google search so I was unsure if they would work out and they did!! Yay!

Super cut style and comfortable right out of the box. The first time I wore them was on a 5 mile hike and they had decent grip on rock scrambles. Sizing runs large. I'm an 8.5, and originally ordered that size, but it was too big. I exchanged for an 8 and it fit perfectly. (Side note: Size 8 is labeled 38.5 on the box).

I work as a gardener in a botanical garden. I bought these boots, sprayed them down with extra waterproofing and have worn them all day everyday, no breakin period. Very comfortable, great support and they keep my feet dry! Considering buying another pair to have on the ready since I live in these!!
