These are cute boots, but I would not recommend them for a lot of walking. I wore them walking around Chicago this past weekend and my feet were ACHING after a few hours. I'll have to put some inserts in them if I decide to ever wear them beyond a couple hours. Also, get your regular size. I normally wear a 7 and sized up to a 7.5, and I really could've stuck with the 7.

This is my second pair! I got a pair in the fall and have worn EVERY day since I got them. I am obsessed. They are so comfortable. I ended up buying a second pair when they went on sale just to have on hand bc I love them so much! I love color combo too.

I had high hopes for the Sorel Joan boots, especially given my positive experience with another pair of Sorel wedge boots. Unfortunately, these boots fell short of expectations. First and foremost, the comfort level of these boots is a major disappointment. Unlike my other Sorel boots that provide a stable and soft landing for my feet, the Joan boots lack that crucial comfort. The absence of a softer insole makes the inside of the sole feel unforgiving, leaving much to be desired in terms of overall comfort. My feet hurt when I wear them, and then they hurt the next day from wearing them the day before. Another peculiar issue I encountered was the significant difference in fit between the left and right boots. The right boot fits bigger, almost half a size larger, and strangely seems to pitch outward rather than being centered. This inconsistency in sizing and alignment is not only perplexing but also affects the overall comfort of the boots. Despite these drawbacks, there are some positives to note. The grip provided by the boots while walking in snow is excellent, which is crucial for navigating winter conditions, especially in a place like South Dakota. However, the lack of comfort overshadow this positive aspect. The most disheartening aspect of my experience is that once these boots are worn outside, returning or exchanging them becomes challenging. This limitation leaves me feeling stuck with boots that fail to meet my expectations, especially considering their intended use for work fashion and braving very cold winters. In conclusion, the Sorel Joan boots have left me with mixed feelings. While the traction in snowy conditions is commendable, the discomfort, and inconsistent fit are significant drawbacks that make it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend these boots.

So cute and comfortable! I followed their sizing chart and ordered my size and it's perfect- I could've gone a half size up for thicker socks but I'm not sure then they be too big with normal socks. The quality feels really nice and I was surprised at how light weight they were for how chunky they look. I've been wearing them In very snowy and icy conditions and have no complaints- definitely not super warm but that's not what I was looking for! The traction is great- and they are super cute.

The boots are cute, I love the look of the blocky heel. The only negative is that they are stiff and the soles squeak when I walk. I'm hoping those 2 issues will work themselves out as I break them in.

So comfortable. We had a winter storm and I wore these everyday. They did not seem slick and had great traction. I can wear these all day. Did not need to break in.

I have wideish feet, and a Morton's neuroma . I just returned a very similar boot by Seychelles b/c they were too narrow. Finding a comfortable toe box is hard. These are super comfy. I believe a lady said the seam digs into her feet. My feet have lots of rum and are about .5" away the top of the toe box. So it just depends on the shape of your feet. I wanted to review because I know how hard it can be to find comfy shoes. I'd say give these a try.

I normally wear a size 6 1/2 shoes, but I have wide feet and Sorel boots tend to be narrow and fit snugly. Size 7 1/2 was a perfect fit for me. These boots were very comfortable and I will be wearing them often. Sorel boots are well made and I especially love that they are waterproof!

They look great, but something about the footbed means too much stress and not enough support on the ball of the foot. I have to be careful to wear them when I know I won't have to walk too much. I'm in NYC so those are unusual days?

I really can't say enough good about these boots. I wanted casual but dressy and these boots fit that category. I started with a neutral color but have now ordered another color . I guess that color being on sale just made it better. I will admit I love that they are not too tight and hard to pull on. The heel height is perfect for my plantar fasciitis. I love the sole and the rounded toe. I ordered my regular size, 10 and I love that I have room to wear thicker socks or not. I would have each color if my husband would let me.

This was a very comfortable and stylish shoe. It feels similar to a hiking boot in terms of tiredness on the sole. Rated only 4 stars because you must must must wear padded socks with this boot. Your foot will slide into the toebox because of the arch and it will blister the outsides of your toes if you don't have the padding. Otherwise, very grippy and can last all day!

Absolutely adorable! I only gave 4 stars (I would go like 4.7 but it's not an option) because I have a couple other pair of Sorel's and on some, the arch support is a bit cozier than on others- was hoping these were like that. Supportive! Don't get me wrong! The toe area is wider which makes them super cute but they feel a bit sloppy. That's what you get with that style though *shrugging* I'll just wear boot socks. Wore them outside in the rain, water beaded right up and sat on top of them or rolled off. Easy on/easy off. Absolutely adorable with boot cut jeans but I also can't wait to wear them with boot socks and leggings or a casual dress. All in all, super high quality, comfortable, adorable, would I buy them again? 100%

I've owned these for 1 month and from day one, they have been very comfortable. They're easy to clean and the tread is excellent. No slippage in these puppies. I'd like to pick up some more colors.
