This tent has become one of my new favorites. It is easy to setup and makes a great foundation for the big three in my backpacking kit. I have enjoying this so much that I use my Hornet 2P when I go car camping as well.

I will use the tent in Uzbekistan! It's winter now, but I'll try it in the spring. I assembled it at home and I can say that the tent is very easy to assemble. Very light, which I'm happy with. In the future, I may purchase a lighter tent from Nemo.

I like the hornet 2p but only for sunny dry days. The cut out fly exposes too much tent. In a heavy downpour, water got in thru the mesh even though it was fully guyed out. Also if you touch the single exposed tent layer when it is wet, say with your bag or pad, it will get wet. If you sleep cold this is not your tent, go for something with a full fly. I love the weight, and this is a good tent for dry days.

i've used the 2p Nemo Hornet for a full season now (around 25 nights, mostly bikepacking but also 2 hiking weekends. I really wanted to love it because it's small, compact, easily set up and really stands out at a campground. However, I found that condensation, and mostly the way the rainfly starts sagging when hit with condensation, was a real problem. When leaving the tent for a midnight bathroom break the rainfly hits the inner mesh causing drops to fall into the inner tent which is really annoying. Also, with two people it's just not comfortable, there's not enough room for 2 packs so I would call it a roomy 1p but not a 2p. I will be looking into a different tent, might hold on to this one for really sunny trips but after spending 2 days in rain it really isn't the tent for me unfortunately :( For someone who literally packs up before the crack of dawn and is moving around until dusk this might be a great tent...

My PCT journey took me through the hottest deserts of all time fires, smoke reroutes 30 degrees weather in Cascades pouring rain lightning and wind that made most tents beg for mercy. I might add I?m 60 and disabled yet both tents accommodated me well why two tents N Washington tent sights just won?t accommodate people rockin duplexes so I switched out to my one for north Washington and back two the two after.

This is a well thought out tent that holds up in severe weather and does not burden your backpack. My only complaint is that it's a little tight on the bottom of the tent and two people are a tight fit. More of a 1.5 person tent. Because I use it alone most times, not a huge issue for me. Thoughtful features like the overhead light diffuser for your headlamp are a bonus. I have camped in this tent for three years now and it has seen a good deal of rain with no leakage. It also survived a serious wind event (guide out with no issues. For the weight, you can't beat the sturdiness.

Took this to Olema campground, CA which is kinda close but not that close to Point Reyes. It was misty overnight and woke up finding the moisture seeping through the head area where it isn't covered by the fly. Also found lots of condensation inside the tent as well as on the inside of the tent. I highly doubt that will keep any amount of steady rain out.

Have no complaints you you still use the OR bivi because of weight and and setting up.. But now with the hornet I don't have to sacrifice room and comfortbeing that it's only 2 pounds. Combined it with a disco 15 Degree sleeping bag and I'll never purchase another brand.. I recommend it to all my clients clients and friends next purchase will be a 2 p Kodiak or chogori. I like the idea of not needing a rain fly. Depending on the 2lb sacrifice but would eliminate and water getting in well setting up in a storm. Can't wait to make the purchase.like everyone knows how fun it is opening up knew camping gear. You feel like a kid on Christmas.

Everything just makes sense. From set up to how convenient everything is. Light diffusing pocket was amazing. Got it a few years ago finally got to use the tent and it did not disappoint. Took it to the high Desert. I haven?t hit any real rain with it but I have a good feeling. I?ve had many tents and this is just beyond my favorite. Mine weighed in just a little over 29 ounces With the stuff sacks and everything but the stakes. Out of the bag though it did have a defect in the mesh that I?m a little worried about especially because it?s by the door. I wanted to tear up when I saw it. Noticed a little bunching in the mesh in another area. Other than that the High Quality of the tent is noticeable. Would honestly recommend Nemo over Big Agnes or MSR any day. :-

There?s an awesome ultralight tan that really maximize your space to weight ratio. However being a lightweight tent it is important to note that I would not feel comfortable using this for car camping every weekend, save it for when weight matters!

Hi everyone I just bought this tent for its features ( 2 doors, You can sit up in, 2 person and lightweight. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay. But to get what you really want you have to do that. No compromise!. I took Hornet 2 P away over the weekend and the first night is windy and you know with some tents you get that flapping sort of thing when windy. Well, the Hornet 2p didn't. And the second night it rained and at times real heavy and I was dry as a button. The next morning gave it a shake and hung it up to dry and it did in no time while I had my breakfast and coffee. Thanks, Nemo money well spent.

I have had this Hornet 2P tent for about 3 months now and am totally satisfied. Previously i had a previous version but the enhancements to this latest version really make a difference! i.e. the sturdier clips at the top, the enhanced tie out loops, etc.

This tent is extremely easy to store in a pack. It is so light, I barely recognized the added weight. Another great feature is how easy it is to setup. It takes very minimal time. I have found 2P to be a bit tight for two large individuals. You can fit, but it'll be a bit tight.

Purchased last month. So far have only set up in the woods behind my house to waterproof etc but set up is super easy and incredibly light. Very spacious for me and my pup. Seems to have great ventilation. I need to purchase the footprint. My only concern is the thin fabric tearing. Can't wait to get it out in the wild this summer :)

I've only gotten one good use out of this tent and so far it's been a great buy! It withstood heavy winds camping at 6000 feet on an exposed bald (6000 feet is high on the east coast!) when I was sure the fly should've torn away. (It was a bit loud, but so is every tent when it's bombarded with constantly shifting winds)This is my first UL tent, so I'm still giddy about how light it is. I bought this with the intention to do some extended backpacking and fastpacking over the summer, along with hopefully a long trail thru in the next few years. I wanted to invest in something quality enough and light enough to be happy with for some serious hiking, and I have high hopes. I'll be coming back at the end of the summer with a bit more experience. I chose this exclusively based on reading gear reviews and site reviews, and aside from Zpacks this was one of the most recommended 2-wall tents. 2 walled, free standing and no trekking poles needed was a plus for me. One downside is I don't think you can set up with just the poles and rainfly if you want to go ULTRA ultralight, though the tent body is so light it hardly matters. The light dispersing pocked overhead is a cool feature. Tent poles were so easy to put up since they are all attached and even color coded. Wide head space and narrow toe box is a sleek design feature, plus plenty of room in rainfly vestibules to keep your pack in overnight. I put it up for the first time on trail despite knowing better and it was a breeze.

I have used my hornet 2p about 15 times now- putting it up to the test in all weather conditions and let me just say... WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!! Never got one single drop of water after any night of sleep. Highly recommend this tent to anyone. Must have for any camping fanatic!!

Took this tent during a 4 days 3 nights backpacking trip in Arkansas. It worked perfectly. I love the space, easy set up, held during strong winds, fits into my backpack, and it is very very light. I was worry about the rain, but not once did it had any condensation or got wet inside. I love my tent and I cannot wait for my next trip to VA triple crown.

I bought this tent a little over two years ago and it has served me well on many backpacking trips. It is lightweight, easy to set up quickly, and has plenty of pockets to make finding things in the middle of the night easy. After two years of regular use it has kept me dry on every trip and still looks like it just came out of a store. At one point I got a hole in the mesh and sent it to Nemo for repair. The replaced the damaged section and had it back to me within 2 weeks of shipping it. The fantastic customer service and warranty make Nemo my first choice for any gear, and the hornet is my first choice for a tent.

I feel like I've put this tent through its paces. Its been with me on the JMT, Wonderland Trail, and various trips around the western US. Its been a solid shelter through hail, rain, and wind. Honestly couldn't ask for much more in a 3 season tent. Its easy to set-up ( I can do it solo within minutes), easy to take care of and has a competitive weight with respect to other ultralight tents. The only caveat I would add is that it is snug for a 2P tent, you'll have to really like your partner and probably be on the shorter side to find it comfortable.

This tent has been awesome! Not only is it super light, but it has a small footprint that somehow has so much space! It?s plenty of room for myself and the two large vestibules give me lots of room to have for storage and entry/exit.

I've used my Hornet 2p on several short trips and a couple of multi-day outings. Still looks brand new. I solo camp, and am still glad I got the 2p instead of the 1p, as I really don't see how you could fit another adult in this tent.

I have had my Hornet 2P for about 3 years now and it is my go to light weight grab and go tent. The bag features ability to split poles and main tent in two for partner travels. It's so light though it doesn't even matter. Careful you put it though, it will rip as light also equals weak. The mesh screen has ripped also after lots of use and I've had to repair a couple times.

I?ve had this tent for a couple of years now without any issues. Although I haven?t experienced any deluges, it has kept me dry in a steady rain. I?ve read some reviews complaining of either leaks or condensation but I?ve had neither. There?s ample ventilation and if you keep the fly from the tent body any moisture should run off of the fly onto the ground. Even though the tent is rated as a two person, unless you want to get really familiar with someone I?d call it roomy for one.

I bought the 2 person version because I wanted to have little bit of extra room. The one person tent was just a bit to small for me. Overall the tent quality is great and I look forward to using it a lot.

I absolutely love this tent! I have had mine for several years now and taken it backpacking on both mountain and desert trips. It packs supper small, is really light, and very easy to set up/take down. I?ve used it solo, as well as with my partner and dog (it?s a bit cozy with 2 people and a dog but it worked. Having 2 doors and 2 vestibules is great. And although it is very lightweight, it has held up really well, I?ve had no wear and tear problems of any kind. I would (and do) highly recommend this tent to anyone looking for a backpacking tent!

BEST TENT EVER

This is my favorite tent ever! Takes me no more than a handful of minutes to pitch this tent. Don't let the single pole system fool you, it provides plenty of rigidity and volume for what is deceptively a very big tent that packs down to the size of a coconut. And don't let Nemo's thinner fabrics fool you! The weight-savings have not compromised its waterproofness, breathability, or durability at all! Tried and tested on the East Coast Trail and Gros Morne for 2 weeks in heavy storm conditio...

Thru-hiking the PCT
By Woodrow
My girlfriend and I took this tent with us on our thru-hike of the PCT. It stood up incredibly well over 2,665 miles, multiple landscapes, eco-zones and weather conditions. The dual vestibules and doors made it easier for the two of us to share such a small space for so long. The poles and tarp held up incredibly well but the bug netting stretched at the pole attachment point after about 100 nights. I reccomend this tent to any thru-hikers or hikers/ campers looking for a high end product wor...
