Light, durable, spacious, efficient, effective. Nemo simply has the best backpacking tents this world has to offer. Also, the easiest tent I've ever set up in my life. Could probably set the whole thing up in 60 seconds after a couple reps.

I have used this tent on multiday backpacking and kayaking trips and the performance in all types of weather has been outstanding. I use the 2P version for myself and enjoy the roominess of this tent. The OSMO fabric is great in the heavy Florida rains and humidity. The vestibule design allows for plenty of storage on both sides of the tent. Access in and out is very easy with the large doors. the headroom is good and the sidewalls seem almost vertical so there is plenty of space to move around and be comfortable. Packs down small and I consider it a good weight for a fully free standing tent. Keep up the great work Nemo.

I picked this up to replace some old outdated gear and I'm excited to have such a lightweight, packable and easy to set up tent for my son and me. The stuff sack and dividing option really helped spread the weight between my son and me and didnt affect base weights at all ( love how thoughtful NEMO was in this regard). It took me about 5 minutes to pitch solo thanks to the color coordinated poles and clips. My son and I could probably get it done even faster. My family is fairly small (my son is tallest at 5'7" and I'm broadest with a 42" chest) and we had plenty of room to sit, roll and sleep with no issues. I picked up the footprint to help protect the bottom of the tent and my sleeping pads since I typically camp in desert areas and it fit like a glove. I have only had it in cool/cold dry locations so I haven't stress tested the weather resistance myself but one thing id love to see is a fast fly pitching option just in case I need to set it up in weather. I know NEMO does amazing work weather testing their tents so I have no doubts it will handle the deluge but just curious about set up and avoiding wetting the inner tent too much. I love the tent and can't wait to get it back on trail in Joshua tree, zion and bryce canyon this spring.

I have used this tent many times for both car camping and backpacking. It keeps the weather out during wind and rain and is an easy setup. The 3 person is super roomy for 2 people and could definitely see fitting three

I spent so much time researching and choosing a tent. As an REI employee, I have a lot of knowledge and was overwhelmed with the amount of options. After talking to customers, talking to Nemo reps and other brand reps I decided to go with the Dragonfly. This tent ROCKS! I am so glad I spent the money on it. It packs down so small, its lightweight, but most importantly I LOVE living in it in the backcountry. I have taken my tent on MANY trips at this point, most of them in the rainy PNW with less than ideal weather and we stayed warm and dry every single night. The pocket organization and the little details put into this tent are just perfect for my every need, even when I bring someone along with me. Yes the two is a little tight for two, but if I can share it with my MOM for 5 days I think anyone would be just fine. The gear organization is what really makes it a great tent for 1 or 2. ON top of that, NEMO is the best brand. I have worked with many brands and spoken with many many customers about this subject, and overwhelming it is agreed that nemo takes care of its customers and cares about its products. I am now a lifetime NEMO stan. Seriously its crazy this review isnt paid, but thats truly how good they are.

I am 6'-05" and 220lbs. The 2P model is perfect for me by myself with a little bit of gear inside the tent/vestibules. We had a heck of a rainstorm on our last trip, and not one drop got inside my Dragonfly. Stiff wind and hours of heavy rain and the tent held up!

I love that this tent has 1 system of interlinked poles that are color coded to their snap locations. You can set this thing up brainlessly. The black top mesh for star viewing is great.

This tent met all of my expectations. Lightweight, the bivvy sack is great for packing, super durable, and I love the different compartments - perfect for backcountry camping. No negatives so far after a few times trying it out.

As a contractor, I sleep in a tent for up to 3 months/year. This is perfect for my job. Lightweight & packable, flights are easy. Tough material. Easy set up. Super happy with my purchase.

As with most Nemo gear it is very well thought out. Pockets and zippers are in convenient locations, the netting in the interior has great pockets built in to hang clothes or lights up inside the tent. Setup is a breeze. I really like the ball sockets at the end of the poles that nicely snap into grommets on the tent. The tabs where the rainfly attaches to the tent are color coded so it's easy to know which way the rainfly goes on. Nice DAC stakes and poles. Altogether a top tier build of a tent that is a pleasure to take on any trip. Like I said before, very well thought out and built.

Bought the 3p version. love the design and polls (although worried about the combination of odd sizes and being pre-bent on repairs) lucky Nemo has an excellent warranty and replacement policy. Would like to see the landing zone being offered as and add-on for this test (only available on the bikepack version). 3p version was able to fit my two sleeping pad with a little bit of room between (would not be able to fit a third pad or adult). but we all know what 1 person, 2 person, 3 person tent really mean. That being said i planned this for 2 adults being comfy and the 3p version is perfect.

I bought this tent to do a variety of backpacking trips in Europe. So far, it has kept all the water out and shows no signs of wear and tear. The packed size is one of the truly great benefits for me since I have to get my backpacking bag down to carry-on size for regional airplanes.

Great tent. 3 man fits 2 kids, wife, big dog, and me. Great pockets inside the tent walls. Have not had issues with getting wet. Have stayed dry in Olympic Peninsula rains.

Very nice light weight and compact tent, the 2 person is great for 2 and it's pretty simple to set up. It definitely needs to be secured well when it's crazy windy or it will blow away! A person or pack inside does this well.

I was excited to finally replace my older model Dragonfly with the newer Osmo version. But, my excitement waned when I started putting up the fly. 4 stakes on the fly to keep it taught - uugh. I bought a freestanding tent so I didn't have to spend extra time at camp finding a soft spot for stakes. Or finding rocks for securing guys... If you don't get the 4 stakes in good places, you just can't get the fly taught and it flaps loudly in the wind. Also having uneven ground seemed to really tweak the fly layout. I don't even use vestibules for anything, so it's particularly maddening. Oh well, the Osmo fabric will be worth it - right. Well, sort of. Because it's hard to get the fly taught, it was really easy to get water splashing or rain driven under the cut out. So yup, rain in the tent. Osmo didn't help due to fly staking requirements. I wish I would have skipped this model and just done a trekking pole tent that uses fewer stakes than the dragonfly. Sorry Nemo, this needs to go back to engineering.

I paddled the Bowron Lakes Canoe circuit in northern British Columbia Canada this summer. Throughout the week, it rained quite heavily, but I found this tent to be exceptionally dry. Not one drop of water made itself onto me or my gear.

Incredibly lightweight gear! Very happy with how this tent worked out for us. We thru-hiked the Trans Catalina Trail in March- the Dragonfly Osmo was easy/quick to put up and take down each day, fast drying, and truly the lightest tent we've ever carried. Hiking with it was an absolute breeze.

Upon the first use of my tent, I had my initial concerns about the rain fly being too short on the "tall" end of the tent. I had my tent set up on high ground and we had moderate rain for entire 1st day and had significant puddling of water on top of the tent foot print. I didn't notice the puddling water unitl we packed up on the 3rd day. The rain fly on the "tall" end of the tent needs to extend all the way to the ground like the other 3 sides. Water ran off the fly, onto the tent wall and down and under the tent and puddled on top of the nemo footprint. Perhaps using the guy line loop fly on the "tall" end would have helped this issue but a full length fly would most certainly help. Also nemo needs to add a loop on the "short" end of the tent fly to pull the fly away with another guy line. Fly was in contact with the tent wall and our sleeping bags were damp at the toe end. I will say I was very grateful the fabric on the bottom of the tent was very water proof as i only had one small spot where there was a very small amount of seepage in the standing water. I do like the ease of setup, the compact packed size, the light weight and the roominess of the 3P tent for 2 people.

This tent is light and packs down very small. Purchased for backpacking and whitewater trips in Idaho, Oregon,California and Utah. This tent works great for 3 seasons and hiking with grandchildren and our dog. 3 average adults fit snugly in it, for 2 adults it is roomy and well vented. Free standing, and easy to put up.

Just used this tent for a bikepacking trip across Vermont. I lugged a 2-person tent from another brand across NH last year and this saved me about 4 pounds in extra weight. As you know, every ounce counts when you are cruising through gravel trails for 45+ miles a day. This tent was also extremely easy to set up and break down, which was really key when you are exhausted. I am trying to get my whole team to get this tent. I love it!

I picked this up to be my go to tent when traveling with one of my kids. The 3 person is roomy. I backed this up with a double air matt and made for a great set up for traveling with one of my kids. The pockets... There are so many and so well thought out. The weight is incredible and really helps when you're carrying for 2.

Bought the 3 man dragonfly osmo a few months ago for my cousin, my brother and I and I never regretted it. It has so many features to making camping and packing so much easier. It has vents to prevent tent condensation, and plenty of breathable features for summer time. It packs super light. I'll give my cousin the poles and then use the role top to close the tent down to about half the size!! Love it with all my heart and am a big fan of the osmo fabric! Also a huge fan of the amount of pockets.

When looking for a new backpacking tent I knew I wanted to get one with a little more space to share with my 5 and 3 year olds. Although a 3-man tent is heavier, the OSMO fabric seems to keep the weight down. I'm surprised at the roominess this tent provides for the size and weight it packs down to. I also appreciate the divvy cube setup so I can remove the poles and stuff the tent into a tighter spot in my pack. I just put the poles in a side pocket of my pack. Setup of this tent is easy to do and intuitive. The hubbed aluminum poles a great. This tent perfectly compliments my Disco Sleeping bag and Tensor Pad. I love Nemo products. Nice job, Nemo Equipment!

So far, I've taken this tent out in the desert, high mountains, and everything in between and it's been great. The fly has held up really well and the overhead storage features make it really easy to organize my equipment. I also love the storage bag that it comes in. If you remove poles, it rolls down to about the size of a Nalgene water bottle. Would recommend for anyone looking for a lightweight, freestanding tent.

Honestly I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do! I prefer to use it over my tiger wall. Seems durable, and quite spacious even with 2 people. Plenty of room under the vestibule for packs!

So stoked I snagged this tent while it had some sale pricing on it, although to be honest, its worth full price and then some. Got this to go bikepacking with my son (I know there's a bikepacking specific version) but this tent is small enough as-is to fit in my bikepacking kit. It does everything I need, takes up minimal space and is as lightweight as can be expected to a tent that builds out to a size comfortable enough for me and the kiddo to share! I have yet to put it to the test in inclement weather, but will update my review if it doesn't hold up. I have no reason to believe I will need to update this review though! ?? Get it, you wont be sorry!

I also have a Nemo Hornet and felt it was a little tight when sleeping 2 in a 2p or 3 in a 3p. Also the vestibule was a little small for my liking so I Changet to a Nemo Dragonfly and while it might be slightly heavier than the hornet, it provides the extra few inches of space and larger vestibule to keep gear dry.
