Super excited to start taking this on backpacking trips this year. I already own a Chair Zero and bought this one so that my wife and I both have a comfy place to enjoy the views!! Very well designed, quality product!!

The ground chair is perfect for Kayak Expeditions. The chair is easy to pack and takes up little space not to mention does not weigh very much. During an expedition one never knows what kind of ground one will have to deal with but the Helinox ground chair is very stable.

I bought this chair to replace my crazy creek style chair, so i started being comfortable close to the ground. At the last minute I decided to switch between the chair zero to the ground chair at the suggestion it would do better in soft dirt. Haven't had the chance to compare but the comfort and small packed size of the ground chair is fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to bring it on a boat, car and maybe even a overnight pack trip if I had the space. I've been setting it up and taking it down frquently and it's very easy to do.

This chair is great at the beach, on uneven ground and I look forward to using it in the snow. Fits into a daypack and is very lightweight. I love it.

Luxury pure and simple. Great back support when you need to cook in the vestibule. One thing I did is that a very thin piece of foam pad will take away the cold air on your bum. Still deserves 5 stars +. Great piece of kit.

I started with Chair One. I still have it. Great chair. But the Ground Chair is lighter and you don't need to buy anything extra to keep it from sinking in the sand or puncturing your tent floor. It is lower to the ground than Chair Zero or Chair One but with a little practice you can figure out how to get in and out of it. Light and compact. I always take this backpacking.

Super light and easy to assemble, disassemble, and pack. Comfortable for a smaller person and sits very low to the ground. Very happy with my purchase!

The Helinox Ground Chair is an amazing chair to take on a hike. Light weight and compact. The price is a bit high but the quality is very good. Wish the chair came with a cloth cup holder but overall a very good chair. Would recommend this over the other four leg chairs because it does not sink a easy. The cross bar design helps keep it from sinking. You can place flat stones or logs under the chair to help you not sink on ground that is really soaked from a rain storm. I bought mine on sale which was nice.

I bought mine in December of 2018 and have been acting like a particularly jealous dragon over it ever since. Everyone sub-6' who sits in it loves it, and even the tall ones are just sad it's hard for them to get out of. It's light, it goes together every time, everything fits in the stuff sack, and it's supremely comfortable. It basically forces you to recline slightly and especially for me (5'4"), it feels kingly to sit in at the end of a long day on the trail. I personally hate how unstable the chair one/chair zero/similar models from other brands feel--but this always feels rock solid. Away from bugs, no uncomfy rocks or logs for dinner seating, and I have used it literally everywhere, including in the middle of a creek (washed the sand out of the hubs and it was totally fine), as a crag seat while climbing with friends, in my living room when we ran out of seating during a party, as a cat bed (she loves it), and of course many days on trail. Was devastated when I found out that it wasn't being manufactured anymore and my jealousy over my chair grew, in case anything were to happen to it I feared I would not be able to source a replacement. Fortunately it has stood the test of time, but I'm still considering buying another one now that they're being made again just in case. This chair is the best--buy it, sit in it, love it.

Super comfortable. I enjoy being closer to the ground and it allows me to relax and stretch out my legs. No other ultralight chair is as comfortable (to me anyway!) . Also, the leg sinking phenomenon won’t happen with this model. Happy to see Helinox brought it back into their live product line!

Sand gets into the joints making the poles difficult to remove and also scratches them. I am planning to replace this with a chair Zero with ground sheet.

It's light. It's a good height off the ground to lean or slouch back. It comes together very easily almost like it's alive.

I have had the ground chair for a while now. It's perfect for cooking over the camp stove as you don't have to hunch over. It's incredibly comfortable and sturdy. The second I get up someone sits in it and I have to tell them to get the hell out of my chair. I have had to buy one for each of my children in self-defense. Yeah it's a bit over 1 lb and I know long distance lightweight hikers will scoff but it is the one luxury backpacking item I refuse to part with. You can pry my Helinox chair out of my cold dead hand someday but until then it stays in my pack. And when we're are camped you'll be eyeing it with jealousy......
