First I ordered my usual size (6.5) from another company. I loved them immediately, but I was worried they were too large. So I found a 1/2 size smaller here on Sunny Sports. Turns out even with larger socks, the smaller size looks better and feels better (I admit I like a tighter fit though). I’d say Danner fits true to size for the most part. These boots are incredibly toasty and don’t need any breaking in either.

Wow just got boots wearing around the house! Been researching so many boots to wear in Mn winters!! Many of the other brands would say comfortable out of the box!! Well these truly are the most comfortable right out of the box!! True to size, light, good grip, sturdy, and good looking!! Will update when walking on snow and ice at the dog park! First impression finally found the boot for me and say again finally!!

This was my first time purchasing a pair of these. They run true to size and they are so comfortable. The only thing I’m very disappointed with is, the first time I wore these they started falling apart from the bottom.

Yes, except the zippers dont stay up, they dont seem to lock. Granted they dont unzip all the way, but thru the day the do start to unzip a bit

The first pair I received had a flaw at the bottom of the tongue behind the zipper that rubbed against my ankle with every step, so I returned the pair. When Danner got the boots back, they immediately overnighted a new pair. The new pair weren't perfect; there is a lateral fold in the fabric near the sole of one boot but it doesn't chafe, so it is a flaw I can live with. The customer service is excellent and the boot provides good traction.

I bought these boots to wear up in Alaska. I’ve worn them hiking and snowshoeing and they’re very comfortable, as you’d expect from the Danner 600 series. The purple hue is fairly dark and might be mistaken as dark brown at 1st glance. The material is more suede-y than I expected, but I am ok with that. Do not wear these in temps above 40 degrees F as they are very insulated and your feet will get super hot. They kept my feet dry during snowshoeing.

I love these shoes! They are remarkably comfortable and definitely waterproof as they got wet as it started snowing as I walked to my car. I have a wide toe box and they felt tight at first but ok now.

The shoe performs according to description, they are extremely light it look nice on my feet. I wore the shoes in snow and rain my feet stayed dry and warm. The only thing lacking would be arch support. I love the shoes.

These are the best boots I’ve ever owned, second to my Danner Marine Expeditionary Aviator boot. I’ve tried so many brands that just didn’t make the cut. I have wide feet, so nothing fits. These boots are stylish, comfortable in every single way even with thick socks, true to size, and they get the job done here in the snowy, arid, freezing Northern Rockies. I’m very satisfied with my purchase, and I highly recommend this boot.

These boots are super comfortable and don’t feel heavy on my feet. I usually wear a 7.5/8 and found the 7.5 to fit true to size even with a slightly thick sock. Really came in handy in the Colorado snow, kept my feet warm and dry.

My toes are warm, and my feet stay dry, even though my job requires alternating between working in snow and driving a truck, which is a recipe for wet cold boots.

Comfortable and light feeling although the soles give better traction in snow and loose muddy gravel and on hills than any boots I have owned. The site zip aids some, but those w high arches like mine may find they need to untie the laces too. The plum color is close to dark brown. I wear a 38 Le Chameau, a 37.5 Superga classic, and the 7 1/2 in this Danner fits well.

Flexible cushioned foot bed and sole. Easy in and out. Less bulk. Seem very warm. Have not worn on ice or in snow yet but plan to take on trip to Iceland for outdoor activities.

These are really great boots ! Not only are they super comfortable but very warm too . I normally wear any wear between a 9 or even a 10 in some brands but a size 9 felt perfect even with thicker socks . I am looking forward to wearing these all winter here in the PNW .
