Bought these to replace a well loved older pair and so far it seems the quality has held up. The grips feel a bit worse (narrower than they used to be) but I think I just have to get used to them.

These poles have been great! At first I was skeptical about using hiking poles, but they have proven to be especially useful in reducing leg fatigue while hiking. I used the sizing chart and was better sizes and chose the smaller, which turned out to be a wise design, as well.

I used my poles for our 500 mile Camino hike across Spain. I needed to replace them due to a "my fault" breakage. BD gave me a discount on some new poles and I love them.

These are replacements for poles that I had for more than 3000 miles. These poles lasted through many adventures in the desert Southwest and through the mountains in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. I watched all of my fellow hikers on the Appalachian Trail go through 2 to 6 pairs of trekking poles, but my poles lasted until after the 2200 miles traveled to Katahdin. They broke on the descent. I loved those trekking poles and I am thankful I had them!

Made an investment and upgraded my previous poles. These are amazing. As described! Great for trail running or plain trail trekking. Love how they condense down and can fit in hiking bag!

I plan on doing the Tour du Mont Blanc next year and I purchased these poles for that. I have inspected them and they have the collapsible and adjustable capabilities that I desire. They are great poles and I am looking forward to using them on the trek

This is perfect for backpacking - especially if you're traveling abroad to your backcountry adventures. Easy to store and sturdy on the trail. I am tough on gear, and have broken the carbon fiber ones. These poles can withstand my abuse.

Small size, relatively light weight sturdy poles. Went with these for the aluminum construction and ability to adjust length as carbon can be less forgiving if the pole gets flexed too much. Looking forward to future hikes with these.

I had an very old pair of Black Diamond foldable poles, but lost one. These are lighter than the last pair but look just as strong. My last pair had a nice nylon case which I have also lost. This is new pair did not come with a case which I would have liked. It came with a velcro ties which I believe i've already lost. Rubber bands work to keep them together.

Hiking every week at the Appalachian requires a good hiking stick and this product never fails to do it's job. The easy adjust makes it eaiser to change the lenght depending on the terrain and whenever going on a ascend or descend.

Perfect choice for backpacking: they are sturdy, light and fit in your back pack when travelling overseas. I will make good use of them on the Via Alpina next summer.

I bought a pair of these poles in 2017 and have used them for hundreds of miles. The locking mechanism jammed and I inquired if it could be fixed. They said no but gave me a 40% off code. Bought the same poles again am excited to use them.

Couldn't ask for better poles. Very very small weight penalty versus the carbon poles but the added durability is worth it for my application (propping up a beta tent). They are seriously durable and very packable for flying. Note: in my opinion, if you aren't using them as part of a shelter system and you have the budget, the carbon poles would be worth looking at.

These are perfect lightweight poles for us old folks who don't want to slip and fall on snowy/icy winter walks. Very easy to adjust the height, and compact to throw into a backpack when they are not needed. Only bad thing was I had to buy a second set after my wife tried them out :)

I bought these because some friends were using them when we were hiking together in Jasper National Park, Canada. They had travelled to Alberta from Seattle and spoke about how easy they were to pack for their flight here. I could see how robust but light they were so ordered them for an upcoming trip to Ontario. Thanks for designing such a great product!

I just got these poles and took them out for my first 4 hour trail run. They are quick to stow and set up. Love how lightweight and short they are. I have no issues fitting them on my Osprey Duro 6, which has not been the case for the non-z style poles. I'm also really happy with Black Diamond's customer service. I had an issue with a different pole, and they were quick to offer support and help with the problem. Looking forward to this training cycle!
