The 504,781 acre park is characterized by rugged, mountainous terrain filled natural beauty and majesty, including 312 glaciers. These give North Cascades National Park the most glaciers in a national park outside of Alaska, many of which are quite accessible. Tens of thousands of visitors enjoy the park every year. Here are some of the main attractions!

Cascade Pass and Mount Triumph

These are two popular areas for hiking within the park. Cascade Pass is located near the Cascade River Road. The summit of the pass is above the treeline and known for its 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding parkland. Most people find the trail to the pass and the scent quite manageable, especially considering the reward of the beautiful at the summit. Hikers also use the pass as a starting pointing for mountaineering adventures.

Mount Triumph is one of the must-see sights within North Cascades National Park. The peak has an elevation that exceeds 7240 feet and stands above the surrounding topography in rugged splendor. Mount Triumph is a favorite of serious climbers because of its lack of an easy ascent on any side, although the western face is slightly less challenging. For those not interested in climbing, Mount Triumph still presents a spectacular sight.
