In February, we revised our Facebook Photo Contest to award prizes and have the top three pictures based on community votes to be narrowed down to a winner by a celebrity judge.
Last month, our celebrity judge was…

Josh Aldridge is a self-taught photographer and filmmaker whose adventures provide the primary inspiration for his art.
His love of the natural world, combined with an intense adrenaline addiction, motivate incredible risk taking and exceptional payoffs in the resulting images. His portfolio ranges from wildlife and naturally lit landscapes to cultural observations within the outdoor community.
He’s currently directing a new online video series called “GO”, set to air this September. For more information on the series, visit www.gotelevision.net

Of those images, Josh selected Ercan Bostan’s picture:

Here’s what Josh had to say:
The mirrored action between the people and their shadows adds visual interest, and the shadow/snow contrast is bold.
