Perfect but disapointed with fast abrasion
The size, weight, and insulation are perfect. However, after three years of occasional use, the silver side has worn off and is no longer silver. It seems to wear down quickly, and I'm concerned about whether it still functions as it should. For the price, I expected better durability.

Z Lite SOL is worth the buy
The sleeping pad is an ideal base pad for putting a thermarest on top of. The Z Lite SOL sleeping pad is super light weight, provides insulation between the cold snow/ice at base camp and eliminates the feel of rocks and uneven ground through the thermarest. It's my go to set at base camp for mountain adventures.

Camo pattern or olive green colour desired
It's a good sleeping pad but I had to spray paint it so it wouldn't be so bright and obvious. Because it is so big, it had to be packed on the outside of the backpack, but being on a hunting trip, I didn't want to give out location away either. Needless to say, spray painting it wasn't my favourite option, but that's what needed to happen to allow the Z-lite to make the trip at all. Comfort-wise, I'm glad I brought it. In the mtns it sure helped keep the cold at bay and provide a small layer of cushion between me and the ground underneath my ultralight thermarest. My hunting companions were jealous.

Used steady under my airmattress for extra R-value and pad protection over a 3 month period. By the 1/2 way point the reflective material was worn away leaving dull grey on that side. Otherwise the pad did its job and worked well.

Worked wee for my needs on the Napali Coast. Used it in my tent to sleep on and used it in my hammock for insulation. Used it to sit on the hard dirt when needed too.

Good protection without worrying about
Good protection without worrying about it loosing air in the middle of the night. I am not so concerned about it popping, if I am sleeping in the sticks.

Always take. Extra wt helps sleeping later; really protects pricey mattress even though i use a tent n footprint. Prevents creeping ground chill; important for any dogs joining you, dog approved.

Lightweight affordable option for layering sleeping pads for added warmth
Really happy with this as it is super lightweight and easy to strap on the outside of a pack. Used as a 2nd layer under my sleeping pad for a fall shoulder season backcountry trip with temperatures getting below freezing overnight and kept me warm and off the ground.

Better than expected
Purchased this pad for more rugged applications where I was worried my uberlight would become punctured. The beauty of the pad is that it's bomb proof and you can lay it down with no worries about grooming the site first. The pad is reasonably light although still double the weight of the uberlight. What surprised me was that it was quite a bit more comfortable than I anticipated. Great for back sleepers and by fat the quietest sleeping pad out there. Downside are bulk and weight (if you're a gram weenie). Upsides are you never have to worry about mistreating it, it packs up instantly, and it's actually pretty comfortable. I'll probably end up using this more than I thought, especially for trips where my dog comes along with pokey paws. Some times the peace of mind is worth the bulk and extra 200 g.

Simple, durable, great addition to my pack.
Best ultralight sleeping pad!
To me, backpacking and backcountry travel is about simplicity. This pad hits the mark. Lightweight, I can get it wet, dirty, throw it around, it won't get damaged. I also use it as mattress insulation in the winter, paired with another mattress. It's in my rescue pack for sitting around or making food in the backcountry. This was a no-brainer purchase and I recommend it. If you're looking at this mattress but need that extra lower back support, I like to put my pack or clothes under my knees to relieve pressure in my lower back after big active days. That way I don't need an inflatable mattress to be comfy.
