This is possibly the best quilt you can buy. It's incredibly lightweight. Pick it up and you'll be amazed. Even in it's storage sack with tags on it in the store it will seem astoundingly light. It also compresses very well, taking up very small space in any pack. Another prominent feature is that the down is Nikwax treated, which is the very best hydrophobic down treatment on the market. The shell is treated as well. Rest assured when heading into a wet, rainy, damp area. This quilt will retain its loft, day after day. Some keys to know: The shell on this is only 10D nylon, which is thin, so you're going to want to baby it just a little. No zipper to snag though, so that helps. I strongly recommend you use this quilt with a comfortable sleeping pad. I also recommend you use it either with a light sleeping liner, or the Therm-a-Rest pad cover/sheet. While those add extra ounces, they will make your sleeping night much more comfortable than sleeping directly on the nylon of a pad. Finally, in a pinch you can bundle up in this and wrap it mostly around you, unless you're a very big person, which is a concern some people have. The Vesper also comes in a 32 degree version, but I always tell people when in doubt just buy the warmer of the two choices. Unless you know you won't ever use it near freezing, and weight is absolutely critical, this is the quilt to buy. Finally, if you love the features of this, but decide you want an actual sleeping bag, look at the Therm-a-Rest Parsec and Hyperion. Both have many of the same qualities of the Vesper, just in sleeping bag form.

Awesome little quilt. Light, compact and comfortable. Kept me warn through the nights in the mid 30's F in Three Sisters Wilderness.

Only used this on one trip so far. Love the lightweight and packability. Short backpacking trip with lows in the high 40s. First night I slept in a tank top and was a little chilly after a few hours. Second night I added socks and long sleeves to sleep in and attached the quilt under my sleeping pad, and also used the baffle snap, and was fine and cozy - I think most of the issues with feeling chilly on the first night were from not having anchored the quilt under the sleeping pad in combination with underdressing. So far, a winner. I don?t do a lot of winter camping, so can?t say how this performs in lower temps. My primary reason for purchasing was to reduce pack weight and still be warm while camping. I?m pretty happy so far.

My new quilt saw its first use in Mt. Rainier national park on a four day backpacking trip, and I am a new convert! VERY lightweight and packable for 20°F protection. Definitely kept me warm enough and was versatile when paired with my sleeping pad. I?m not sure that a quilt is perfect for EVERY condition, but I will be using this product a lot more and am very excited to have it as part of my sleep system.

Extraordinarily lightweight and easily condenses down to a super-small size while also being plenty warm.

This is my go to sleeping bag, I use this all the time in the eastern sierras! Very warm when used with the thermarest Neoair xlite. Perfect warmth in temps in the mid 30s! It packs up so tiny too! Can't go wrong
