Pump stuff bag needed

I bought this pad 2-3 years ago for trail camping. The only thing wich would be fined, is to have a pump stuff bag instead of the stuff bag included. A week before I used, I kept valv open to inflate, but not much inflate more than 60% after a week. At camping, I thought it would be fine but I had to fully inflate find a way to keep attached the bag to the valv. I had to bought pump bag for my next camp. Regards.

Good pad, incomplete purchase

Purchased recently, so no idea about durability. Pad is comfortable and nicely made, but the 'self inflating' descriptor is misleading-you need to add much more air unless you weigh 90 lbs. Here is my gripe: the needed accessory inflator bag, which is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced, should be included with this pad. In contrast to the pad itself, the inflator bag is fragile, feeble, and the functional fit is barely adequate.

Therm-a-Rest last forever

Another great Therm-a-Rest sleeping pad for my Therm-a-Rest collection. I still have and use my first Therm-a-Rest sleeping pad . Never have had a problem with any Therm-a-Rest sleeping pad that I have . Jones in the woods

Bulky but so confortable and great R value

I highly recommend cold conditions or car camping but it's really bulky for hiking and biking. Love the thickness of that pad.

Comfortable Night of Sleep!

I love my Therm-a-Rest trail pro! It stayed inflated all night long, was easy to inflate and deflate, packs down to a manageable size, and did its job as advertised. Would recommend!

the best sleep while camping.

I used to have a thermarest trail lite that was to thin and not suitable for a side sleeper like me. I still own a thermarest neoair camper that i like because its compact but even at 3 inches thick it fells like a balloon and it offers a good night sleep but not great. Finally since I do mostly motorcycle camping and space was limited but i really wanted something similar to the trail lite with foam inside but thicker. I opted for the trail pro. It checks all the right boxes. Not to noisy when moving on it, 3 inch of thickness, as small as a self inflating pad can be, well insulated and finally soft to the touch since i use a quilt. I can sleep as well on this pad as in my bed and part of that is also because of the Compressible Pillow Cinch that i really really love.

Solid, warm - and I sleep better than in my bed.

I have one (Large) since around 12? years and used it in rough environment, long horse trips in Mongolia, on camp tours and with hiking. Never had a problem. Never lost air. Always comfortable and warm. One hint against slipping on a tent floor - use a thin, (2-3mm) small Evazote below and there are no problems any more. Same quality but thicker for deep winter tours would be welcome, but I already used it down to -10°C w/o problems. Slightly higher weight and packing than Pro lite, but worth in colder environments. Please, keep this quality!

Why not a hip-length version?

I just bought the regular-size TrailPro pad, and I like it a lot. For years I used a Thermarest Classic pad in hip length. I just put a stuff sack of clothes or something under my knees to raise my legs, and the smaller pad was perfectly adequate. This new pad has muych thicker foam and promises to be much more comfortable, but why is there no hip-length version available? I neither need nor want a full-length pad, and the hip length would save weight without sacrificing comfort. It would also be nice if there were a field repair kid for this pad. Not sure why they can't provide one- the old Thermarest Classic was also a knit fabric, and it came with a repair kit.

I have the regular wide and while it doesn't pack down the smallest, it is extremely warm and comfortable.

Systematic problems with delamination

I bought the mattress early this summer. After 2 weeks it started to delaminate and an air bubble developed. The mattress was replaced without any discussion but also the new Mattress has now developed the same problem. Taking into account that I am now traveling in Africa and only returning in about a month, the situation is pretty frustrating. I have been handling the mattress correctly and releasing the air during the day as to avoid heat creating overpressure.

High comfort and perfect warranty process

I got this Mattress for a Trip to Kenya, and slept 3 weeks in a row on it. The comfort is amazing when you consider how small and light it is. During the last night sadly i got a puncture on it. After sending it back and just asking for a repair which they normally do, they send me a complete new one on warranty. I would always buy the matress again. You really cant go wrong with it. PS: Sorry for the English

Such comfort in such a small mattress

It's just impossible to think that such a comfortable mattress can actually pack so small. I used to use an inflatable ultra-light insulated mattress, but the noise of the weight shifting on the noisy material was so terrible my kids threatened me to stay at home, so I had to look for something quieter - an best solution was a self-inflatable mattress. But I never thought I would be able to have something which packs almost as small, is hardly heavier, is VERY quiet and sooooo comfortable. It's really a tough product to beat honestly, worth every penny.

Something Worth a Review

I normally don't write reviews due to being a bit of a different consumer. I rarely sleep "well" even in my own bed at home let alone out in the woods or really put much thought into name brand versus what I can get quickly and cheap online. I'm normally the type of person to not hold too high of expectations as a lot of things tend to be quite lack luster compared to the over hyped sponsored claims made by influencers who really don't put real opinions into reviews. But there's a reason I'm writing this - I ordered this sleeping pad after my $30 mystery brand pool floatie air mattress decided to no longer hold air after a year of heavy use. Anywhere from 30+ degrees C and -15 degrees C and at least 50+ trips all in ranging terrains and timeframes. All said and done I wasn't mad, but I did notice my sleep was taking a large hit during these trips and the air mattress was less than desirable in comfort. Whether I was sliding off in the night or just not comfortable, there was a laundry list of issues I just chalked up to "just not sleeping well outside". I'm also exclusively a side or stomach sleeper, so this just adds in a whole other level of not really finding that sweet spot on an air mattress and just dealing with sore hips or back in the morning. Once it kicked the bucket I started the search again, but with a couple new key factors in mind that I absolutely needed to know a pad could offer. Weight and size weren't really a concern so the more I looked, the more it became apparent that self inflating foam pads would probably be the best option for my needs. After a solid month of looking, researching and reading way too many reviews I bit the bullet and ordered the regular wide Trail Pro. The first trip with it I was anticipating to be colder than normal as I was heading north for a 3 day canoeing trip, so I included my winter bag - this was my first mistake. The heat that this pad reflects back is absolutely wild compared to my old sleeping system. Absolutely NOT saying this is a bad thing, just user error and ignorance on my end for not considering the R Value of the pad itself and it actually standing true. The last 4 trips since have been absolutely wild. I've used my summer bag exclusively and I am ASLEEP. One night in particular my partner tried for a solid 10 minutes to wake me and I wasn't budging. This has NEVER happened as I'm normally the person to be awoken by someone else's thoughts before they even decide to move in the tent beside me. I am so beyond happy with this purchase and can't begin to say enough good things. I actually look forward to sleeping outside on the ground compared to a couple months ago where I had to mentally prepare to be absolutely exhausted. I really hope this pad never dies on me, but I now know if it does where to go.

Disregard 1 star review

After leaving a 1 star review based on the the repair/warranty process, Therma-Rest reached out immediately and took care of the problem. They swiftly sent me a new pad and made good on their warranty policy. The pad up until to point of malfunction was delightful and allowed for 5 peaceful nights sleep tent camping. I would recommend this pad based on comfort and ease of use.

Excellent Plush Pad

So far so good with this pad. It's extremely comfortable so if you don't mind a little extra weight and bulk in favor of comfort -then I'd highly recommend it. I bought the wide model and am happy with my selection. It also seems to retain heat well. That said - if you're wanting some ultra lightweight for backpacking then I would consider a different model.

Comfortable and well isolating sleeping pad - without repair kit

Very nice sleeping pad that it is very comfortable to sleep on. A repair kit was highly missed, when a scratch in the pad led to a whole that made the air deflate. Luckily other pads had a kit included. Apart from that a very nice pad that is only a little bit big to carry!

Most Comfortable Pad Ever!!!

I've had this mat for almost 2 years now and taken it on numerous trips and I can tell you with a certainty, this is the best camping pad I've ever used!! It's well worth the extra weight to get a decent night's sleep while on the trail. My only gripe is that I wish they had a Large/Wide version. I'm 6'4" 275lbs and I'm edge to edge on this thing. I would gladly carry the extra weight if there was a 30 inch wide version for us bigger people, so please please please take that into consideration for the next iteration of the Trail Pro, other than that this thing is perfect for my needs!!

Get the long size

My wife and I kayak camp several times a year so we have the extra room in the hull that this pad requires. It?s night and day difference from the $100 pad I upgraded from. It?s worth the money because the quality and comfort are there.
