Bought for shoulder season mountaineering and alpine climbing, I love the straps as I would often start to slide off of my pad with my previous bag.

Pretty much a perfect design, but it came with several lose threads and bad seams. Mostly cosmetic, so it will probably hold up, but it doesn't give me confidence in the product. I own three other bags from different brands and they're all of better manufacturing quality.

I bought his sleeping bag to replace an older down sleeping bag. It's about half the weight and half the size with nearly the same warmth rating (-6 instead of -7°C).

We moto camped in some pretty cold temps in arizona back in November. I go as minimum as possible ditching the stuff sack and jam my gear directly in the motorcycle bags. Tough and warm is what I needed and thats what I got. Great quality.

Fantastic bag with a nice feel to the body. Warm enough for the cool Fall evenings and light enough to take anytime.

A good bag, nice weigth to feature ratio. Used in 30 degree temps and was on the too warm side - which is a good thing.

I run cold so this sleeping bag is perfect for me. It's super small when packed and weighs absolutely nothing.

So far I've use this during the summer, and it was great! I always need to have a heavier bag anyways. But this wasn't so heavy I couldn't sleep on it with part of it draped over me and wide-open. I stayed cool enough. And it packs up tiny, and is very light!

I was excited for Synergy Link Connectors. The loop on the bag tore first night. Dang.

The bag is great and meets my expectations on its own. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that the SynergyLink connectors are too short to fit around one of Thermarest's own pads: the NeoAir Top Luxe. I was excited to use the SynergyLink Connectors, and in fact, they were one of the main features that caused me to choose to upgrade my sleeping bag.

Have not camped in this yet but being 5?2? petite bought this in the small size and have tried my new sleep system set up at home to ensure I?m fully exped ready for later this year. Being someone who turns a lot during the night I loved the synergy link connector feature but sadly found it is unusable. The connector straps simply don?t fit around my fabulous new xtherm neo air Max regular wide sized pad. I?ve tried and they simply strangle it to near bursting point and even if it did not burst there was a reason I bought an extra wide pad - because I like my arms to be on the pad, not off it. The straps strangle the mat into a much lower width so it simply doesn?t work and also feels like I?d end up,ripping holes into the bag under the strain of the tension. What is the biggest shame is that a simple length adjustment system on the straps could have dealt with this - and I?m surprised that THermarest with their attention to detail did not notice this in their design testing phase.. OK so adjustable straps might have added a couple of grams in weight but better than not being useable with some of THermarest?s own pads!? I will try to fashion my own straps when I find time to see if I can rig up something that works, But having spent over £500 on a brand new 2022 sleep system I?m feeling quite disappointed that this should be necessary.

I've had my fair share of experiences with sleeping bags in cold temps and this is the one bag that actually keeps me warm. I like the connectors to keep my sleeping bag from slipping off the mattress pad at night (which in turn, keeps my body warm!) and love how compact the sleeping bag can get with a good stuff sack. It kept me warm in 15-20 degree weather, which is just what I needed.

Great for 3 season backpacking. Light, packs small, and I'm cozy inside.

"Big Bird" is such an amazing bag! The extra baffle around the neckline makes it extra cozy, and I love the shape and length as a taller person! Don't let the light color scare you off, I've been surprised how clean it's still looking after a year of use.

I was concerned about that the zipper did not go full length for venting if too hot. But in use, that has not been a problem. Not sure why that is though....

I took this up Mt Adams and it fit well in my pack and kept me warm. Great for cold weather trips. Works for me as a side sleeper.

I've had 30 or 40 nights in this bag so far ranging from sub 30 degrees and up, mostly in the 40s F range. It packs down small and is very light. Fills up when uncompressed and is warm. Zipper almost never snags and easily slides up and down. The extra down in the footbox is awesome. Like any bag, 20F would be the extreme at which to use it (in my opinion), so for most people/uses I think this bag is perfect down to around 30F realistically. When I hold it up tot he light, I can kind of see through the bag in areas where there is no fill (clumped up a bit) but maybe all down bags would look like this if you could see through the material.

I've used this bag for 2 years now from car camping in Iceland to summiting peaks all around Washington State. This bag has been the perfect companion for any adventure. I'm normally a pretty cold sleeper with previous bags rated at similar temps but I think it really helps having the extra foot box keeping my feet warm to help keep the rest of my body warm. Although it's not rated for snow camping I've had success keeping warm in this bag despite the cold temps. I've made two other friends also purchase this sleeping bag and they love theirs as well! Everything about this bag is perfect.

perfect for shoulder season with incredible warmth and packability. Used this bag on my colorado trail thru hike and it was a comfort to slip into this every night. The hydrophobic down stood up to being damp and wet. Dried quickly, kept me comfortable and warm. Everything you can ask of a 20 degree bag and more

I've been living on the road for the last year and I have used this bag for at least 6 months of it. It is tough, warm, and it packs very small. I used this bag for a summit of Mt Robson in the Canadian Rockies for 5 days and it never failed to keep me warm and dry. The temperature got down to close to 0 °F and I never got cold. Note: this was in a tent with two other guys, but the bag is seriously warm. It also compresses super small with the included stuff sack and it retains loft well, even after putting it in the stuff sack every day, The outer material is also very water resistant which is great because tents get pretty bad condensation when in cold weather. This bag handles a bit of water without a problem. The few times it has gotten completely wet, it dried out quickly and the hydrophobic down didn't clump up at all. I would trust this bag on any adventure, It's totally bomber and it comes at a great price.

For how cozy this bag is, I can't believe how lightweight and packable it is. I took this on a 2-night backpacking trip into Snoqualmie region in October and I woke up super warm every morning. I was able to get this into a smaller compression sack than what comes with it (it fit into a 10L compression sack with a purge valve, no problem). So worth the money for anyone into ultralight backpacking missions. One of the best features of this bag is the oversized draft tubes around the neck/face and zipper area, they really do the trick in keeping the heat inside your bag when a colder-than-normal night creeps up on ya! Size Reference: I'm 5'4"" 170 female and use a size small.
