Noisy but thick, comfortable and warm. It packs small and light, just what I need to hike the Appalachian Trail in 2023. On a test night in October in Southern Ontario it went down to 5°C with no issues.

Would love to be able to have a taller pad with the R value of the women's specific pad! I'm 5'8 :( so I need to use the Men's/ Unisex pad but really want the extra R Value!!

12 days on the wonderland trail proved this is the mat for me. Went down to 5 Celsius and I felt no cold from below. The heat radiates back when you need it. Not noisy as I had heard. I am 5?3? (160cm) and 130lbs and I had ample room. People over 170-175 might find it short. Bulkier folks might find it narrow. Bottom line it so light and so warm with tb extra r value. Also it packed away fast on the first roll up.

Women wide PLEASE! Also it would be nice if you can label the pad with WR so it?s easier to tell apart from other xlite pads in the tent. The length is too similar.

This is a great pad for sleeping on your back or if you are a petite woman. I am 5?7 and weigh 150lbs. Pretty average. I sleep on my side and my butt is always off the pad. Not a dealbreaker because the weight of this pad is more important to me. However on nights where my tent sight was not the greatest I rolled off this thing very easily. No wiggle room on this one. Good pad though. Easy to inflate. Not too noisy. Lightweight

Have been using this pad for 5 years and love it for its weight and warmth. Alas it is so uncomfortable due to the narrow wide and collapsing edges. And I'm a slim person that doesn't tos and turn. The only reason I stick with this pad is that there isn't a compatitor if your want a hight R-value UL mat. It is cool that Thermarest made a shorter, warmer womens pad, but why not taking into account that women have wider hips than man? A 5" wider pad, especially at the hips would weight about 2-3 oz extra and make a already good pad an unbeatable excellent pad.

I've owned this sleeping pad since 2017 and have slept countless nights on it so I can confidently say it is an amazing piece of gear. I've taken it backpacking in Iceland, Scotland, the Rocky Mountains, and in my own backyard in Manitoba and northwestern Ontario. It packs down incredibly small and provides great comfort for back and side sleepers. I have boney hips and I still find it okay to sleep on my side. I've also used this winter camping and have yet to be cold - I've used it alone on nights that go down to -15C and have paired it up with a radiant heat pad (or Z Lite) on nights that dropped down to -30C. I would highly recommend this!

I was a holdout on upgrading to my sleeping pad but I do love this. Lightweight and insulating enough for a night on the snow. I'm looking forward to my next summer trip.

Yes the mat is lightweight and allowed me to sleep in a tent in winter. However as sait many times before it is super narrow and mine got a hole after a few uses. You may want to invest in some sturdier equipment.

I am 5'7. The shorter size makes for a rather narrow pad because the mummy cut tapers much faster to the feet than the regular unisex pad or even the 3/4 length regular pad. Aside from this factor, I like the loft, the feel, and the warmth, plus the lighter size and weight. The noise isn't THAT bad, and is comforting in a way to know you are on the pad. I make it work 'better' for me by putting my neck and head beyond the top of the pad (head on a pillow set on top of my pack at the head of the tent). Some people put the their pack at the bottom under their feet or knees to make the space longer and wider there, but I prefer the head so I have more of the widest dimensions of the pad where my arms are. A really comfy pad for a obligate side sleeper.

Awesome little mat, very light and warm, only downside is that it seems a bit delicate? I guess that?s the trade off for the lightweight, I?ve been careful with it and so far so good!

Super compact and lightweight. The wing valve is awesome! I have an older style regular valve and the new valve is a huge improvement.

I'm sure it's great! I am in 20 feet of snow currently so I haven't been able to test it out. But it's super lightweight, high off the ground and doesn't take long at all to blow up.

This is a great pad, and it sets the industry standard for a reason. I got my first one during a season of backcountry trail work where I was camping 5 nights a week and my old foam pad just wasn?t cutting it for comfort. This pad has consistently provided a great nights rest for only an ounce or two more than my old Z-lite, and with a little repair kit and the warranty you can make it last a looong time. As you may read, the chip-bag-crinkling noise is very real, but I never notice it much because I?m so dang comfy, even sleeping on my side. My partner has informed me they definitely know when I roll over, but even then it?s not prohibitive. This pad is an investment, but one that really does deliver on being the most comfortable pad in one of the lightest weights on the market.

I don?t have this pad. I have the ?mens? standard wide pad. It?s a great pad, and I?m sure this one is too. My problem with the thermarest lineup in general are the sizes. The pad I have I bought solely for the extra width. I paid MORE money for less insulation and length I didn?t need just for a reasonable amount of pad width. 20? is ridiculous, even more so when that ?20 inches? shrinks after inflation. I?m 5?6 and a side or stomach sleeper. From what I?ve seen over 85% of the population sleeps on their side or stomach. Why do pad manufacturers (and for that matter sleeping bag makers) insist on sizes and shapes that work best for back sleeping? I?ve yet to meet anyone that complained about having too much space on a sleeping pad, but reviews are full of those complaining about their arms falling off. Give us wide versions of all pads, even better if you offer short and wide versions. Us short folks like to be comfortable too and if we can free up base weight in the process all the better. Even better, you can then label your standard 20? width pads the ?ultralight? version and charge more for them lmao

I purchased this pad as I am very interested in hiking with as little weight as possible. I went on a group hike with 13 other people. The pad meets the criteria of light and warm. However, I am a person who tosses and turns during the night. The pad is incredibly loud. My daughter who was sharing a tent with me and is a very sound sleeper, was woken up every time I shifted my weight during the night. The women in the next tent over clearly heard me also. So if you're hiking by yourself and not in group situations, this might be a great pad. It did not work for me, as I do not anticipate backpacking by myself any time soon. I'll be looking for a quieter lightweight pad.

The new women's Neo Air XLite sleeping pad is an improvement over the old one. It comes with a hand powered pump sac which is easy to use and of course doesn't require a battery. The valve is much better and air stays in the pad once it's inflated.

Please make a wide version. Despite a high R value, I won?t be warm with my arms on the tent floor. I?m going to change it for a regular wide model. I would order xtherm, but again no wide version available.

Got used to the noise. 5ft2" and this is my go-to where weight saving, packability and warmth matters. Inflates fast if using a bag to assist. Durable but this year, I noticed one hole on the edge. Most micro pin-holes were found along the side/seam and between side crinkles/folds during bathtub checks before two expeditions on Denali as it was still a little leaky still after a leak check and patch pre-spring ski trip. Still deflated more than a slow leak through the night waking me up to re-inflate 2-3 times a night when I felt the cold and RidgeRest mat underneath. Will try to buy a replacement valve to see if that is the issue, as the MSR location in Seattle was closed to the public when I happened to be back in WA. Hopefully, I can fix it.
