Man does this pad keep you warm. I'd recommend for use below 60 degrees. It sure gets warm above that, but it has no problem keeping you warm when it's freezing outside. The pad itself is very comfy and not too loud. I found the regular sized one to fit just right, and it's nice and small/light in the pack. Highly recommend, it's worth the $.

Really warm sleeping pad and fills up quickly with the pump sack. Good quality for sure. A little on the noisy side when you're moving around but all around a very good mat and happy with my purchase! Highly recommended!

It popped after less than 30 uses, otherwise its super warm for the weight. Patch kit works- Definitely going to hang onto it, just disappointed.

I've had the rectangular neo air for ten years. I've used it on short trips, winter camping, or fall camping. I have been cold on this pad before, but only in extreme cold conditions. It's not great below zero, but maybe the new generations of the neoair are better.

The neo air X therm is the greatest cold weather pad I?ve ever owned. Easy to inflate/deflate. I live in MN where the weather gets nasty. I do a lot of cold weather camping in winter. My whole life, I?ve had the sleeping bag problem solved (-40*F bag) but I would always have to bring 2 pads (an insulated inflatable, with a foam pad for the top) or it would be too cold underneath. The x therm completely eliminates the need for 2 pads even on snow. The engineering really does separate the cold on the bottom from the heat on the top and reflects the warm back to you with high efficiency. I had the narrow mummy version and brought it to the Winds with me last summer. I found that in warm weather, there are more comfortable pads on the market so I sold that pad and bought the large version for cold weather. One of the best outdoor gear investments I?ve made. Problem: my old x therm pad had a great pump sack with a rubberized coupler. The new pump sack has a hard plastic coupler. It?s extremely hard to attach to the pad. Once on, it doesn?t come off. On my first trip out, I couldn?t get the pump sack off. I pulled and levered to no avail. I pulled harder and it broke the valve right off of the pad! Since it was -10*F and miles in, I was a bit concerned for my safety. Luckily, I was able to pop the broken valve back on and twist it down. The pad held air. For an item that is meant to be used in cold weather, I find that plastic to be a very poor choice. I currently have a claim opened with Cascade to have it addressed. Currently, the valve is permanently attached to the pump sack.

I hate to brag and maybe jinx my pad, but it is a really good pad! I do not notice any of the noise issues others have reported. Maybe that was fixed in the newer versions? -I couldn't say. I will say that my only complaint is the inflation bag. The bag is too small and the valve is offset and less efficient (IMHO) than could be. A copy of the Nemo inflation bag would be an upgrade for the XTherm.

Took my wide pad out with me on 2 snow camping overnighters in WA state and the pad performed admirably. Never felt cold and as a back sleeper who tosses and turns, and must start off in the side position first, it was super comfy and I never felt hips touch the ground. The pad works great with my Big Agnes sleeping bag that uses a mesh sleeve on the bottom to connect the bag to the pad so it always felt secure. I combined this pad with a couple of closed foam pads in the text for the optimal warmth and comfort on cold nights (one got down to the low 20s and I stayed warm and toasty all night with my full gear set up). This pad also works with third-party mini pumps (like the flex tail) to save you from using the airsack provided (my least favourite part of it tbh). There is a bit of crinkly sound when you first set it up but I never noticed it once fully inflated.

Haven't put it through a true test yet of sleeping in snow, but works great on frozen ground. The rectangle design is perfect, better than the mummy shape.

Although I have only used it a couple of times, since I got it this year winter 2021-2022. I am very pleased... This pad has kept me very warm in down around 20 degrees with no cold spots, the pad is completely warm. I am confident it will take me to below freezing temp with no problem. This in combination with proper sleeping bag, of course... As for comfort, absolutely comfortable! So, no worries there you all... Now for the crinkle sound people describe... Although yes of course it's crinkly, but the good news, it is absolutely minimal... I have a Nemo tensor insulated, and it is just as crinkly, if not more so.... To sum it up... I am confident in this mat... A not though, in my opinion, go for the wide version, it's worth the added weight, I would not skimp and sacrifice comfort.. Wider is better... I hope this help my friend, happy trails.. Cheers!!!

Took this out on its maiden voyage on a 20 mile snowshoe backpacking adventure. With lows reaching into -15 with wind chill. Ive had many cold spots with competitors pads and I have to say with the temps it did well. Warmed quickly when I rolled over and held air all night long. Only complaint I have is the inflation sack must be faulty. The valve cap on the bag is next to impossible to get out. I had to pry it open. And I had 0 chance of getting it onto the pad to inflate it. So I had to blow it up Manually. With those temps the valve froze and made it troublesome. As far as the pad goes. 5 stars all day. The inflation sack -5.

We slept on the pads in the house last night. They were wonderful. The night before we slept outside on them and we were concerned they were leaking air because they were significantly deflated by morning. Our suspicion was the real problem was that we filled the pads with warmer house air that gradually deflated due to the below freezing temperatures outside. That is indeed the case. No deflation last night. We do wish the pads came in a shorter length for us short folks.

VERY comfortable, coming from 5 years on the entry level static air pads this was night and day difference. Being able to sit up and not bottom out the pad was amazing. I'm a side sleeper and this greatly upped the comfort of my sleep system and dropped the weight by a whole ounce!

Slept out in 3 degree temps with it and it kept the frozen ground under me warm. I have quite the camp pad arsenal and this is the warmest

I purchased this pad in size L from a local outdoor shop nearby and I can't stress enough how incredible this mat is. It not only works in winter but became my all-year pad, which kinda justifies the price as I don't need other pads anymore. 10/10

Keeping me warm here in the frigid, I love this pad. I bike tour and use it nightly. My only issue is blowing it up, which takes awhile and the connection from bag to pad easily pops off when blowing it up in the cold. Maybe that?s just my learning curve.

Overall, I like the pad. It is warm and comfortable. But I really wish they had a short version...like all their other pads. Not everyone is 6 feet tall.

The ordering process was very easy and the pad came in the mail quickly. While, I haven't used it yet due to a rain storm which prevented my trip to the Adirondacks, I have two others similar, one I gave my wife and one my daughter to go hike Half Dome. Thanks for the good service. Love the current mattresses.
