Super Comfortable and light to pack! 100% recommend! Roughly the size of a Nalgene bottle and sets up pretty quick.

Such a warm and lightweight pad, I think it outperforms similar R-rated pads

I have had this for maybe 4 years and it has been durable and comfortable for every use

reasonably packable and light. Like the inflation/deflation valves. I wish I had bought a wider mat though. Too easy to slip off the mat (the top is slick) and then the thickness of it becomes a nuisance rather than a benefit.

It was great for the first three of two night trips. On the fourth trip I put it into my hammock hopping to stay warm in the mid 20's. It refused to hold air so I put it away and have not used it again. I got 6 nights sleep and for the price not real happy. I was really careful with it.

I initially bought the Large size but returned it because it's a little too narrow. I got the X-Large size for the added width and I absolutely love this pad. I'm 6'2" and it's a perfect fit. Packs away easy and takes no time to inflate. The dual vent system is great too.

I've had this pad for a few years now and have had no problems. The R-value is great for the colder nights. I enjoy the height of this pad as it allows me to adjust the stiffness/softness of the pad without me touching the ground. I would recommend this pad for backpacking as long as you can fit a pad that is around the size of a 32oz Nalgene bottle.

Very comfortable, perfect for sleeping on my side which is what I was looking for. Compact and light.

Very good sleeping pad. Despite the relatively low weight, it has very good insulation. There is perhaps one point that could be improved. When I use an electric pump to extract the air, the pad quickly compresses around the deflate valve and the air from the areas further away from the valve has difficulty escaping. The problem is somewhat reduced if most of the air is squeezed out by hand beforehand, but it still remains. Even if it is only a luxury problem in my opinion, perhaps it can be taken into account when designing future models.

We have now owned six different versions of Therm-A-Rest sleeping pads. We started with the original orange pads when they first came out and, as Cascade Designs improved them over the years, we upgraded and kept enjoying our nights' rest progressively more. (BTW, the original pads were still totally fine: they were donated to others). Their latest version: the NeoAir Topo Luxe Sleeping Pad is a total game changer. After a test weekend with these babies, we are looking forward to spending many backcountry mornings waking up after a great nights' sleep!! Sooo comfy! Roots and other lumps and bumps have met their match! With the dual valve system, these pads also deflate quickly and easily.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this NeoAir Luxe sleeping pad for my backpacking trips! The most comftorable light weight, and small packing sleep pad ever! I ALSO own two additional Thermarest sleeping pads, which I also LOVE. For backpacking I now only use this pad because of its 4" thick WONDERFUL comfort!! Its a fine balance. For cold winter nights I love the NeoAire XTherm max because of its 7.3 R value, but its only 3" thick. For campsites (not backpacking) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Thermarest Monoking 3D, this is the highest level of comfort...But to large and heavy for backpacking

My back gets sore on any camping mattress I've tried, so I thought I'd splurge and go with this one based on reviews. Sadly, the mat thickness doesn't help...I'm a back sleeper. My butt and shoulders sink deeper, and the mat pops my stomach/back up, so I end up sleeping in this horribly unnatural position and well, don't sleep. It's better if I toss my backpack underneath the pad where my legs are to help with the angles...but man, really expected a better design. The way the air flows into the whole thing- there's no smart air pockets to help structure a better sleep- it's just a free for all with your heaviest body parts sinking wherever. Of course I'd tried all possible levels of inflation, neve a win. Also too narrow for a back sleeper, my shoulders fall off the sides (and I'm a 5'9, 75kg woman). Probably pretty nice for side sleepers. Hasn't had any structural issues in quite a few trips.

Hi like the 4 inch thickness of my Neo Air pad. The problem is that my nylon sleeping bag slides off the pad. What solutions do you suggest?

Had half dozen cascade design pads in the last 40 or so years I consider quality and bulletproof the most important. This is way better for an old guy but it's light. Not super happy with inflator bag. I'd Like to see a little nylon zip tie style stiffener that runs the perimeter of the top or possibly two on each side to keep it open to gather air more efficiently. Just sayin, kinda

So comfortable and still a reasonable size. It's a little heavy compared to the NeoAir but the comfort and quiet are well worth the weight.

It has been really good! Best pad I've probably ever owned. Sadly, 10 days into a 14 day trip I put some pretty dramatic holes in it, which I was able to patch in the field. However, later I was sleeping in a od place and I think some of the inner baffles tore and delaminated, creating a bulge. Haven't used it since, but will probably buy another. Life is short, do yourself a favor and get the pocket pump.

I absolutely love this mattress. It was easy to blow up (with a bit of patience!) and kept me warm and cozy all night. It is lightweight and compact to travel with. My only complaint is that it lost a bit of air throughout the night and I would have to re-inflate it in the morning. Overall, I would highly recommend this mattress. Well worth the cost!

We finally updated our 20 year old Therm-a-rests with these, and are loving them. Comfortable and roomy, without the bulk for our portages. It takes a little longer to inflate than we are used to, but well worth it. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Fabulous! I bought the XL for my teenage sons who are 6'4" and 6'2", and they had plenty of length and width. When given the choice between using a standard air mattress at an overnight event or the "Luxe", they chose the "Luxe". It is nice and thick and cushy. Not bad to blow up using the bag, which actually does work, but takes about 5-10 minutes. For indoor sleeping, we carefully use the electric pump from the air mattress. I need a Luxe for every member of the family! Love it! Worth every penny!

The "NeoAir Topo Luxe" was comfortable to sleep on. The dual valves and sack inflation work well & it packs small. i found it very slippery & kept waking up 1/2 off the pad. It doesn't seem well baffled, so sitting on it in the tent was a balancing act.

Very pleased with the pad! I have a mondo king xxl and was looking for a more packable and light weight pad but still close to same comfort level. The neo air topo luxe fit the bill perfectly.

It's very comfortable but I don't understand for the life of me why they went with two valves.

I've been using lighter weight pads but switched to this one because of the increased comfort and durability. SO PLEASED SO FAR!!!
Neo Air Topo Luxe XL
By Marcos
I am 66 years old, and pressure on my hips while sleeping has become a concern. I have only slept on the Topo Luxe for about 9 nights now. No complaints so far; and I have slept well... except for waking up when high winds caused my tent to flap a bit for several nights! Like the inflation and deflation regime. Deflates completely and rolls up quite small. A++++
For those familiar with Therm-A-Rest legendary NeoAir mattresses, the NeoAir Topo Luxe brings the line of sleeping pads to new heights. A whopping 4 inches (10 cm) thick, the Topo Luxe is Therm-A-Rest thickest backpacking NeoAir ever. The Topo Luxe packs down small before inflating for plush support and warmth thanks to Therm-A-Rest Triangular Core Matrix, the best warmth-to-weight construction for air pads. Available in several sizes, including a roomy regular wide, the Topo Luxe features the high-performance TwinLock valve with two dedicated valves for lightning-fast inflation or deflation. Like all Therm-A-Rest pads, the NeoAir Topo Luxe is made in market to ensure quality and minimize environmental impact. The pad includes a breath-saving pump sack, compact stuff sack and field repair kit.
