Amazing pad. Even better customer service. After locating a small hole in the seam of my XLite using the bathtub method, I reached out to the Cascade Designs customer support team for assistance and asked if I could send my pad in for a repair and more thorough inspection. Within 12 (!) minutes, Steve from the Customer Support team had responded and worked with me to ultimately send me a replacement pad because the Repairs team was so backed up with other requests. I certainly was not expecting this level of resolution and quick support. Thank you for the great product and even better experience!

Super comfy and packs down so small...Only suggestion would be to widen it by two inches from the shoulder to the elbow?the aesthetics would be off, but then my arms would not always be resting on the cold ground.

Still the best pad on the market and now that I have tried the new and impressive quite version I am more sold than ever. Comfort in inhospitable places without waking up the next farm over!

My pad shipped with no stuff sack, and I have no idea how I am even supposed to prove it. :-( Their warranty form requires 2 photos. How am I supposed to photograph what they did not send me? The pad however is great. I had to borrow a stuff sack, and used it for the first time on a bikepacking overnighter last night. It's light and feels durable and well made. Just beware of ordering direct from Thermarest.

I carried this pad for 2600 miles and used it every night for just over 5 months. I cowboy camped about 60% of the nights with just a tyvek foot print that was probably like 8-12in short of the actual pad length. I wasn't particularly THAT careful with brushing the areas I camped before laying down the pad but moderate carefulness. It's comfy and I stayed warm with a 20deg quilt on as low as a 21 degree night. I've also had some sexy time on this pad and it even held up for that (I'm giving the info the people really want) The third to last day on my trip I ended up accidentally tearing the pad while drying it on a rock in the sun after a wet night. Totally my fault. I don't have the money to buy a replacement now but I figured I would give the kudos to Thermarest since I am pretty impressed with how long it lasted. I would still be using it if I hadn't made the mistake of tearing it. Thru-hiker approved.

I just got back from a 2 1/2 week archery elk hunt in Colorado and was super impressed with this pad. It was the most comfortable pad I've ever slept on. At 6'2", 200 lbs, I went with the Large version, which is very lightweight and packs small. It is not very loud and when coupled with the synergy sheet, it's almost like a mattress. I got more sleep under the stars than I ever have before. If someone told me I could get 9 hours of sleep in a tent I would have laughed. I had no problems with leaking and the pad kept me warm and off the ground every night. One thing I would recommend is deflating your pad slightly if you are going to leave it in a tent for an afternoon in the sun. The heat will cause your pad to inflate, potentially over inflating causing seams and valves to malfunction. I had a sea-to-summit pillow turn into a ballon a couple years ago because I left it fully inflated in the tent.

This is the first real sleeping pad I've ever purchased. I've used it a few times now, and so far I really like it. I have used an electric pump and the included pump sack to inflate it. Both ways work just fine. The valve confused me the first time I tried to deflate it, but I figured out that it has two parts: the main circular section used for inflation, and a safety lock to keep it from deflating when you don't want it to. I opened the circular valve (same as for inflation), then used the two white levers to twist the safety mechanism open so that it could deflate. It packs up well for storage back in its little stuff sack. It seems pretty durable, even when I have a dog in the tent. :)

I've had the original NeoAir XLite for about ten years and it's finally stopped holding air overnight, but there's no discernable hole so it was time to replace it. I liked the comfort of the pad, but it's always been very loud when moving around. When researching a replacement, it came down to the new NXT version and the Nemo Tensor All Season. At 6' 1", I need a long mat, and the only long version Nemo makes is rectangular, so I chose to stick with the long mummy shaped Thermarest. The new version is just as comfortable as the original and a little quieter, but it's still a noisy pad.

This pad met expectations. One thing I did add was a slim 2 ounce exercise mat underneath the pad. The Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL 2. The tent floor is very thin and sharp rocks could be an issue. The thin light weight pad protected the sleeping pad. We were on a six day backpacking trip in Glacier National Park. The Sleeping Pad performed well.

These really are amazing. I've been sleeping (suffering) on rough ground for years. Just did a 10 day canoe trip with may new NeoAir® XLite? NXT - and was totally amazed at how comfortable it was, even on the most marginal of sites. Great sleep every night = an awesome trip. Crazy light too

Used it once in my backyard to try it out and the second time was on a glacier in the Columbia Icefields in Alberta Canada. It provided great warmth as I was sleeping on snow/ice.

I love my Neoair XLite. I had the previous model of Neoair and I get the most comfortable night's sleep I have gotten on any pad from both. The valve/wing valve combination works great and it's easy to "dial in" the most comfortable inflation tension. I like having the inflator bag instead of my lungs or a battery operated pump, BUT the hard plastic-to hard plastic connection is almost impossible. I have to take along a pet gorilla who has enough "oomph" to get the faces connected. I cannot imagine with the huge variety of synthetic materials available that there isn't something less difficult with a better seal. I almost gave up on a cold 11 degree evening. The development engineer should be sentenced to have to make this connection by hand for 4 hours per day until a better replacement is found.

Bought the pad to replace my Exped Synmat so I would have a higher R-Value. That has been achieved along with the reduce in crinkling noise. However, the pump sack and the connector needs improvement. For some reason, the plastic ring is very rigid. I am unable to connect it easily to the pad. I need to have the valve and the ring of the sack very perfectly aligned and take two hands and body weight on the ground to connect the two. Also, the stuff sack is small and a bit "heavy" compared to my Exped pump sack. At the end of the day after hiking, setting up my tent and getting ready for dinner, the last thing I want to mess with, especially if my hands are numb from the cold, is a stupid pump sack that takes extra effort to connect. I just don't get it. Please test the ring connector in your next product cycle and make it easy for old hands!!

I've only used it on one weekend backpacking trip so far, but it's light and pretty confortable. And the new Winglock valve makes for quick and easy inflation/deflation. Also a really solid R-Value. I wasn't cold at all and was in temps in the 30s-40s at night.

A great update to a classic. I found this version to indeed be warmer with a great warmth to weight ratio. The upgrade to the inflation process was much appreciated. And while still not completely silent, the 'crinkle' noise has been reduced.

The only knock on the older version was the potato-chip-bag noise it made whenever I moved. They fixed it. No more noise. Plus it's warmer. Total winner

Thank you for lifetime warranty!

I wanted to thank for the lifetime warranty on these mattresses! In 2018, I bought the previous model It performed very well, especially on long-distance trekking (light and spacious). The minimum temperature I slept on the mattress was -5 degrees Celsius. in a tent on the snow in quilt so only mattress izolated me from underneath - I slept like a baby. It also worked very well in a hammock - its rounded shape made it easier to position. The only drawback was rustling (like the NRC foil), whi...

I am delighted to say Therma rest customer service lives up to their lifetime warrany. After my air mattress had a delamination issue, they asked I perform certain tasks including taking a picture of the mattress and it's issue and they indicate they will replace it.
