I have purchased several of these over the years. I use mine while drivining in the car and while flying (airplane seats have some of the worst back support ever!). The one bad thing about them is that with daily use, they will always eventually develop a leak and I usually just buy a new one at that point - I should probably try and repair them (I have a few leaky ones at this point). And if you forget to open the valve and leave it in the car, you greatly increase your chances of getting a leak - so if you use it in the car, remember to open that valve every time! But the benefits are well worth it! Perfectly adjustable back support every time, and compressible to a small package for taking with me while traveling. Oh - and of course - reduced back pain!!! Well worth every penny! I know I read somewhere that they are not meant for daily use, but there is nothing this good on the market, so I just bite the bullet and replace them when needed. I think they might fall under Thermarest's warranty, but I've never felt the need to try submitting a warranty claim for these - I get my use out of them!

My back was very sore sitting in the pews at church and my friend recommended your pillow. I ordered it right then online and it has really made a good difference. I have loaned it to three other friends to try ( I got two) and they all said it really helped them and they want to buy one.

This pillow is perfect for air travel! It folds and fits into my backpack and prevents my lower back pain that I've always had on flights. Even long distances from CA to Europe!

My physical therapist recommended this pillow. I use it in the car while I'm driving. It helps me keep my neck and shoulders in the proper position.

We already had one of these that my husband was using while riding in the car. We recently bought a truck, and he needed one to use for lumbar support in the driver's seat. Great design and very effective!

I used this lumbar support in the normal way for a long time, but I discovered that placing it upright, longwise, in my car, it supports my spine and helps me to sit comfortably, with an air therm a rest seat cushion to sit on also. I can't go without it, now!

I use my pillow in the car and it has helped tremendously with my lower back pain. It does puff itself back up when I'm not sitting on it, but the valve is easy to defalte.

Since there are no instructions to be found, I figured I'd share them here, as I have figured it out. The air valve if screwed open allows the pillow to be tightly rolled up in a compact cylinder, and then if you hold the pillow in this compressed shape and screw the valve closed tight, it will hold this shape making it easy to travel. Screw open the valve to let it self inflate and spring back into it's functional state. That's it! Simple and effective travel pillow for those of us with back issues. Great for air travel. I like the portability of it, but ultimately it?s just not a great lumbar rest. It?s too wide meaning that often it feels like when I sit back into it, most of the air is pushed to the side. And in plenty of cars the width interferes with the sides of the car seat making it an awkward fit . It?s also too flat to be an adequate lumbar rest. Good lumbar rests is cylindrical. This feels like someone looked at a standard thermarest sleep mat and shrugged imagining how east it would be to take the original form factor and shrink it down. All this being said I still take it with me went I rent a car or take the train. I just think it?s a fine product that could be so much better
