I ordered this pillow because I like to sleep with a lot of pillows; two head pillows, a hugging pillow and a knee pillow. Visiting at a friend's house, I might be given only one pillow. I sail with some friends every few years, I have to pack light and the boat only provides two pillows a person. Now I have a bonus pillow! I think it will be great as an airplane pillow too. I ordered the medium size. One of the other reviews said that the pillow was flat and not fluffy. When I first got my pillow and decompressed it, I was disappointed for about 5 minutes...until I read the instructions and popped it in the dryer for a few minutes. Boom! Big fluffy pillow! I figure that without a dryer it just takes longer to de-compact. Now I'm trying to figure out if I can "pack light" with two of these pillows for my next sailing adventure.

Ho preso questo cuscino perchè quando dormo in hotel i cuscini in dotazione sono troppo alti, spessi e soffici per me (e poi sono un po' schizzinosa e preferisco appoggiare il viso su qualcosa di solo mio). L'ho adorato durante le ultime 8 notti di hotel. Comodo anche per il viaggio in pullman e aereo. Mai più senza. Sono molto molto soddisfatta. Poco ingombrante, leggero e adatto alla curvatura del mio collo che non sopporta troppo spessore. Ben rifinito e grazioso.

The medium is perfect for the backcountry. The compressed size is great inside the backpack. The pillow is comfortable.

Very happy with these pillows. We find the sizes were medium for my kids 4-7 and large for me and my wife.

Love this thing. I had an inflatable camping pillow for awhile... huge mistake. This pillow doesn't fold up as small, but its so comfortable its worth it. I use it all the time now in the car, on the couch or even in bed. Great little pillow. Would recommend.

Was looking for a nice pillow for me and my son and ended up with an XL and S because I wanted something bigger and more comfort. They are not for the UL backpacker and not the smallest one in the backpack. I just love the feeling in the moring when you had a good sleep and can go on with a smile. I did try some of the inflatable things on the market but didn't really like them for several reasons. Only part with them I like is the size when they are inflated. PS! Had som minor problem with the pillow. Thermarest support team solved everything in a excellent way.

I have yet to take it out on a trip with me but have tried it out at home and wow! Super fluffy & comfortable. I got the large so is bigger when packed down for backpacking but because I?m new to the game I?ll sacrifice weight for comfort.

I used to sleep on an inflatable pillow and i just love my new compressible one. As tight as my old one when it's folded, there is a greater stability. It still as fluffy as it was the first time when unfolded. Awesome.

Comfy. Needs to go on the dryer from time to time to keep volume up. Once the foam starts compressing itself out will stay pretty flat and won't bounce back easily to its normal volume.

I loved the moon print and size, however it is quite lumpy and doesn’t compress small enough to be practical for backpacking

I have two mediums but my partner is big (6’3”) and needed more. These are great - he loves the extra large. Warning: they can take a full 36 hours and then some to fully come back to life when you first get them. I was disappointed when they hadn’t fluffed up enough overnight but after another day, they were great!

I like to use two pillows normally, so I opted for the THERMAREST compressible pillow in XL (moon-print) . My wife has the red version in size medium, which is a nice size, and we both like, so i figured the XL would be perfect (if slept on folded over on itself.) That being said, the xl is more like 3 or 4 times as big as the medium when fully expanded. It is literally bigger than my everyday down pillow. Although very light, it is quite bulky compared to the medium, so not appropriate for minimalists. However if you want to actually be comfortable, I would highly recommend buying this in XL. Would buy again especially at this price.

I purchased these for camping but they serve so many purposes. Right now, one is in the lumbar area of my chair, giving me a little support. Great size, perfect for travel, or whenever you need a portable pillow.

These things are bulky and when expanded the fluff stuffing isn’t enough to make the pillow fill up and be firm. Went with the sea to summit Aeros premium pillow. A lot more compact and comfortable and light weight.

My husband and I took these on our first backpacking trip - three days and two nights on the AT. We both agreed the pillows were essential to a great night's sleep. I'm a stomach sleeper so the weight was worth the comfort.
