Ease to put up and good quality light weight with lots of head space and floor space would recommend for two people with large air pads

We took it on a 5-day hike along the coast of Olympic Peninsula. The tent os comfortable for three people. Light and very well thought through. Aluminum fly attachments are genius.

I have a few nice tents, but after I purchased some other gear from Sea to Summit that I really liked I thought I should give this tent a try for a trip to the Sawtooth Range with my son. Thinking now about our 4 days backcountry I really appreciate the 3 compartment packing for splitting the tent up between backpacks. Set up with the color match blue/grey one piece frame was a breeze, even in the wind and the clips are much nicer than my other tents. Can't say enough about the silent zippers! Two nights we rolled back the fly an slept under the stars. The footprint is fine, I wish it covered one side of the vestibule, but whatever. The space inside the 3 man was more than enough for the two of us, but maybe not enough if we bring his brother next time. All in all I love this tent, details, weight, setup, ventilation, view and splitting up packing. . . BTW. . . They make great kitchen and sleeping pads too!

As a Persian I realized that there is almost no information in the web and YouTube channels in Persian about your products, so I want to start doing it . This tent is amazing and I'll make videos about it soon. You will hear more about me and other gears that I bought from you.

This tent is really spacious for its weight (really light)! It packs down really compact, making it easy to carry on long hikes. Setup is quick and straightforward. The large vestibule is a big plus for storage and comfort. The order came fast. Really great quality for backpackers and bikepackers!

I love sea to summit products! I'm a really big fan and have most of all of the products. But customer service was a bit disappointing. I order the Telos tent and it came without the pegs that supposed to be included. I'm aware that this is a minor issue in the overall price of the tent, but still, it's part of the product i payed for. After i complain, I got an email saying they will ship the pegs in 3-5 business day and so far didn't get it yet.

I was sold on the flexibility and roominess of this tent in a lightweight package. This is my 6th tent and by far my favorite. Set up is easy and it performs well in cold, wet, or clear skies. Looking forward to more backpacking and camping adventures in this tent!

Used the 3-person version on the Fjallraven classic with my partner. It was her first time backpacking and the ten helped her (and me) to enjoy the experience - roomy, easy to set up and take down, and weather resistant (it rained a lot and we had to put up/take down in the rain - we largely managed to keep the inner tent dry, despite a lack of experience. Perfect for 2 people and light enough for one person to carry if the other is only getting started :)

The first time I went camping in this tent for four days. I got hit with a serious storm of high winds and crazy heavy rain! The tent withstood the storm like it was nothing! and it was bone dry inside. I was very impressed it actually stayed up the whole time it was shaking for hours of extreme wind. nothing came off, it didn't lose its grip, the fly stayed on the whole time, and most importantly not one drop of rain entered the tent! Now I am super confident taking this amazing tent with me on any camping trip. and it folds down to a very small package. Perfect for me motocamping! I love this tent and am very happy with purchasing it. This is a great example of "You get what you pay for". Its pricy, but so reliable, supreme quality, and easy to set up and fold, that it's worth every penny! I researched and looked around for months before getting this tent. I can tell you wholeheartedly, save your time, don't hesitate, and get this beast! Highly recommended!

This is another SeaToSummit outstanding product! I went from camping in heavy Kodiak Canvas to a tiny Telos TR2 - Two Person Freestanding Tent. This tent is incredibly light weight and suitable for air travel. It conveniently packs up into 3 small stuff sacs that are provided. Freestanding is great, especially when you're trying to set up on a wood platform. Most of my camping is during the summertime months or in warm climates. I brought this with me down to the USVI and the screens gave me plenty of airflow. I had zero issues with moisture. Personally, I do miss the optional zip up and down windows. I think that option would afford an individual a bit more privacy and night time warmth. As of yet, I haven't personally tent camped during a heatwave.

Took it out beach camping. The online instructions are very much needed bc the paper manuals are useless for construction of the tent. Not very intuitive and I've built a lot of tents. Ventilation was good, and very spacious. I think I could set it up now in like 5-10min. One big factor is trying to figure out the tents orientation. All the extra vertical space of the tent makes it strange trying to find the center.

This tent replaces a well-worn SD Clip Flashlight. The Telos is about the same weight, a bit less bulk but considerably roomier on the inside both floorspace and headroom-wise. Important consideration is that the Telos is free standing whereas the CF absolutely had to be staked out. Not a big deal on a forest floor or meadow but much of our useage is streamside, sand and gravel bars. As usual, Sea to Summit's design and engineering is thoughtful and innovative, down to simple things like color coding parts and the modular stuff sack. These guys make crazy good stuff!

By far the best tent I've ever used. Innovative, light, well made. I have the plus version as well for spring, fall, and winter, and I use this for summer (just the tent, so only one set of poles and fly ??). I even bring both tents on one and set up according to the weather as they are very light. The fly system is amazing, folding it up on one or both sides offers great views and ventilation Its expensive, but 100% worth the investment as it will last a long time if treated right. Get the gear loft and the footprint as well. Sea to Summit customer service also gets a gold star, extremely easy to deal with.

This is a very nice tent. Very lightweight, but seems very durable. It's a great size for two people (I suppose that technically three people can fit, but that seems a stretch). I really like how tall it is and the big doors and vestibules on each side is very handy. We haven't used the tent in any kind of rain yet.

This tent worked perfectly. I took it on a week long canoe trip in Maine last week. Had a mix of weather conditions. Two nights dropped to freezing with a heavy frost. One night had heavy rain. The fly cinched down very nicely and nothing got wet. Tent is super light and packed nicely into one of my dry bags. Once set up it was very sturdy in the wind and rain. Im 6 ft tall and liked the wide area for head room and I didn't have issues getting in and out. I would definitely recommend buying the ground tarp which actually attaches to the tent frame itself so there was no slippage and nothing hung out with the rain. I also got the gear loft which was nice for me because I always seem to loose things while sleeping. Overall I would definitely recommend.

The tent has lots of thoughtful features that improve the experience compared to other tents, particularly the light bar and the gear bags that double as stuff sacks. Only been used once so I can't comment on long term usage, but so far I'm very happy with the purchase. The guy lines are also incredibly easy to use, although I'm curious how long they will last. What keeps it from five stars is the stakes aren't as durable as I would've liked (wife bent one the first time using), and the hangout mode setup is not practical for a single person in anything but dead still wind, a slight breeze makes this thing difficult.

The nicest feature of the Telos TR-3 is large door on each side, with vestibule for shoes and packs. plenty of room for two, would not attempt to use for three. Taking the wet tent down in rain, rowing in the rain all day, setting it up again in the rain, even then I was able to stay mostly dry. I learned it's important to keep the fly taut and the ground tarp tucked in a bit, as when taking the tent down I found a pool of water between the tent floor and the tarp, but even then the tent floor kept my gear dry. The lightweight gray anodized stakes provided aren't sufficient for use in sand, so I brought along about 5 pounds of antique steel stakes, and added my own reflective red guy lines to keep the tent stable in the wind. While I like the neutral gray color of the tent, it would be better to have some brighter colors for the stakes, guy lines, tie-down points, and stuff sacks.

Easy set-up and breakdown, quality material, very roomy for 2 people. Invest in the footprint and the $20 gear loft - which should be included honestly. This tent right there with the BA Copper Spur 2.

TL;DR - Really roomy and comfortable, lots of clever features and tons of storage space. Tent and fly bags are too small and make packing the tent up difficult. I was very excited for this tent. The amount of clever features was intriguing to me. As advertised there is headroom to spare inside the tent, and it makes a huge difference compared to other tents. Much more comfortable when changing, or just hanging out inside. The addition of using the tent bags as storage sacks inside the tent is great. S2S even provided mesh pockets already so the tent bags are just extra bonus storage space. If you bought the gear loft then it's a game changer as well. The only con I really have about this tent is the size of the bags for the tent and fly. They're just too small, which makes rolling up and packing the tent away a fairly annoying process. It feels like there's no room to spare so if you don't roll it up just perfectly tight enough then it's going to be a struggle, or impossible, to get back in the bag. And if you manage to just barely get the tent and fly in then the sleeves for the poles are likely to be too tightly stretched to get the poles in. All in all I'd recommend it but practice rolling up and packing the tent away before going out to camp.

I can't wait to get out on the Trail. This tent was easy to setup, great quality, and you can't beat the head room. Truly happy I purchased this tent.

Just wanted to say we love this tent. I was somewhat worried on spending this much money as I have not ever spent this much on a tent but well worth it! We were out on the trail for 7 nights. First 3 nights was hot and humid no condensation! This is the first time I have never had that in a tent. The design is great set up easy. I would recommend this tent to anyone and I will! Plenty of room for 2 and all our stuff!

Moving to Alaska, I spent one month in Montana and another in Alaska before I finally found a cabin. I was deciding between a camper or tent. The setup and takedown is so quick and easy. The color codes are genius. They've thought of everything and so glad I didn't spend $$$ on a camper. The Telos TR2 was the best decision I made for my life changing adventure. I couldn't be happier!!!

Absolutely loved the tent. Truly easy to put up. Of course it light that's why I bought it. It does pack easy in my pack. I loved the one pole feature. I stayed warm all night on a 30 degree night. Only question I had was how to repack it. Do I just stuff it back in or is there a way to fold and roll

We love our Telos 3 person tent and it is light but not flimsy . Well-designed. (Wish it was a little wider and came with an additional tent bag other than fair share system but I put it in waterproof bag usually when kayak river camping). It has good height and head room making it also easy to enter and exit. I like the additional shelf. I also like the tent bag that illuminates my head lamps.

Have an orange ve24 but don't sleep on glaciers. Have a bright light blue SD? mountain tent. Several other colored tents. I ve never felt safe leave a tent set up to day hike or trout fish. Last "WRONG" tent color was Black 2p on Colorado River mid Summer 13 evenings and nights, 120F in the rare shade and mind boggling HOT in the sun. So why are cooler, less tinted view colored tent fabrics like plain white so ignored by the Outdoor industry?

Excellent product. I discovered the Telos TR3 during a deep online search for a new tent. As of my purchase date, August 2021, this tent is not widely advertised or available for immediate purchase / pickup at a brick and mortar store. I purchased the TR3 Tent $599, and TR3 Lightfoot footprint $54.95. I liked the specs and design features published by Sea to Summit but I could only find two product reviews: a lengthy and somewhat helpful video review; and a short and not very helpful written review. Notwithstanding this dearth of customer reviews, I took the plunge and ordered a TR3 from REI. Excellent decision to buy the TR3. Sea to Summit specs for the TR3 are accurate and the design / construction features exceed my expectations. Compact storage and light weight for backpacking. Very sturdy construction. Fast setup for one man or two. Vertical sides and high ceiling are much appreciated by me and my son's six foot tall bodies. Three people "could" sleep in the TR3 but it would be very tight. Quite comfortable for two people. My first use of the tent was a 7 day outing in the Colo high country for backpacking and 14er climbing. Ventilation and warmth holding features are as advertised. We camped above 10kft every night; late August into early September. One day included 18 hours of continuous mild to heavy rain and wind; the tent and contents remained perfectly dry inside. We carefully staked and guyed the fly. One surprisingly nice feature: holdback ties and zipper grabs have a reflective stripe that nicely shows in the dark night and from a distance when illuminated directly or indirectly by red or dim white headlamps. It helped us find the tent during the moonless nights of our trip. Not sure how this reflective feature would work with moonlight since it was the week of a new moon during our trip. I never had need to attempt the rain set up process described in TR3 Owner's manual. I was skeptical of this idea when reading the specs online, but I believe this is do-able, albeit with a bit of practice and cautious crawling on the tent body. The fly vestibule seems large enough to accommodate a person setting up the tent from inside the fly. I offer one idea for design improvement: color coordinate the ground cloth corner tabs to match tent and fly corners. Tent, poles, and fly corners are color coded and assist with speedy set up.

Great tent.

Pound for pound the best two person backpacking tent I have used. I have used many different brands. This tent replaces a five year old MSR Hubba Hubba. This tent has much taller and straighter side walls. I am 6'4" and I had plenty of leg room. My partner is a petite women and I do think it would be tight for two large men. I have only used it once am pleased with the purchase so far. I did get rid of all the stuff sacks and replaced the with the one from my Hubba Hubba. I kept the pole/ligh...

After 3 nights, love it!

Just got back from my first trip with the tent, performed great! There was rain and hail one day unfortunately & our campsite flooded with 1-2 inches of water.. but the tent help up wonderfully. Totally dry on the inside thanks to high bathtub floor and unaffected by the hail (pea-sized and smaller). It's nice you can stake out either side of the rain fly. I found myself switching between the two depending on how I wanted to setup my gear under the vestibules, which are incredibly spaci...

Ultralight Backpacking Tent with Superior Space and Comfort
This Tent redefines what an ultralight backpacking tent can be. Designed for maximum livability, ventilation, and versatility, this freestanding tent offers exceptional interior space, making it ideal for backpackers who prioritize comfort without sacrificing weight. Featuring the innovative Tension Ridge system, it creates higher doors, expanded headroom, and improved vestibule storage, ensuring easy access and a more spacious camping experience.
Advanced Design for Fast Setup and All-Weather Performance
This Ultralight Tent features a color-coded DAC NSL two-hub poleset with Quick Connect Foot attachment, a sleek aluminum clip that securely joins the pole and inner foot, outlasting plastic. Built with premium waterproof materials, including PeU-coated rainfly fabric, YKK zippers, and 7-series aluminum hardware, this tent ensures long-lasting durability and superior protection against the elements. The rainfly-first setup option enables a dry setup and takedown, making it a perfect lightweight camping tent for unpredictable weather conditions.
Innovative Ventilation and Multi-Use Functionality
Equipped with Apex and Baseline Vents, this Telos Tent efficiently expels warm air, reducing condensation buildup while maintaining airflow. The Hangout Mode transforms the rainfly into a semi-open shelter, providing extra versatility for shade or cooking space. The FairShare storage system allows campers to split the tent into three stuff sacks, making load-sharing easy, while the Lightbar feature offers soft, even lighting by diffusing a headlamp.
Durability and Complete Trail-Ready Package
This Telos TR2 is constructed with a 6-inch deep 20D nylon tub floor, rated to 2500mm hydrostatic head, ensuring superior moisture resistance and durability. The silicone/polyurethane-coated 15D nylon rainfly fabric, rated at 1200mm hydrostatic head, enhances long-lasting waterproof performance. The package includes 8 Ground Control Light Tent Pegs and 4 detachable guylines, securing stability in various terrains. With its ultralight yet strong materials and functional design, this tent is an exceptional choice for backpackers, thru-hikers, and outdoor adventurers.
Technical Features
DAC Poles
The gold standard in tent poles - combines DAC Featherlite NFL, NSL and PRESSFIT sections.
Tension Ridge
The poles of the Tension Ridge are swept upwards like the dihedral wing of an airplane - not angled downwards as is common in tents. This raises the tent's shape, providing significantly more head and shoulder room, higher doors, easier access and more usable vestibule space.
Quick-connect Pole Feet
Typical of Sea to Summit's commitment to refining details to make gear frictionless and more functional, these machined aluminum clips make setting up the rainfly (either with the inner tent, or with a footprint in ultralight configuration) quick and easy. And they are far more durable than plastic buckles.
Fair-share Storage / Lightbar
Every Sea to Summit tent packs up into three stuff sacks to allow you to split the load easily. During setup, two stuff sacks transform into gear storage pockets, while the pole stuff sack (with a translucent diffuser) becomes a Lightbar. Add a headlamp or two for soft illumination throughout the tent.
