Quality kayak

I recently took my new STAR Paragon kayak out for its maiden voyage on Chatfield Reservoir here in Colorado. It was easy to inflate, glides across the water and tracks true. Very pleased with my new kayak and the deal I got on it.

Nice kayak

Well built and a bit heavy. I use in Rivers off the chesapeak bay. Small enough to inflate on by boat's bow or swim platform. I have not had a boat wake wave come over the bow. I feel it moves fast through the water. Does not told up as small and tight as other models might. I overall am happy with my purchase

A fun boat to paddle

We really enjoy our boats. They are very easy to inflate and very comfortable to paddle. We have had hard shell kayaks for several years but we wanted something we could easily carry in our camper. This boat provides that option. It deflates and folds easily and fits in the back seat of the truck.

Definite recommendation

We researched many kayaks before discovering the Paragon. We love the ease of transporting the inflatable versus the hard kayaks (which we also have). Quality material, easy to inflate - lots of fun.

love it BUT

I have used it a few times since purchasing and really enjoy it. Easy to inflate, carry, pack up, and kayak. I could easily use this totally by myself. I have gone from a hard plastic to this-this inflatable is so easy to use!!! BUT-the braces do not fit in the loop. They do not go through the loop in order to fit into the pocket to hold the braces securely. I have not been able to get a good answer from you all on the solution. that is why it is a 4 star.

Splash Guards?

A pretty good Kayak, but the splash guards work like a funnel. Any little wave comes directly into the boat. :-( Michael from Munich

Excellent Flatwater: stable & durable

This well made with durable materials flatwater ik is very stable on the water. This is my second one, which is being used by my partner or a friend. With molded keels, it glides and tracks well for a short ik, and moreso adding the fin. Can't quite keep up with my hardshells, as the bottom is mostly flat. Very convenient to have this ik for travel ease and limited storage spaces. I use this boat exclusively when doing nature photography on the water, as it's more stable than my other kayaks. Newer model is equally durable as model I purchased a couple years ago, but it has a couple minor improvements; floor patched where open seam allowed water to hide, and metal d-ring used in place of pvc ring with placement more useful attachments. I definitely would recommend this boat for flatwater. I also use it's cousin, the Raven, for my whitewater adventures.

Fabulous kayak!!!

After retiring, we decided to sell our home, buy an RV and hit the road full-time. We had hard shell kayaks and decided to trade them for inflatables. I bought the Paragon and cannot begin to express how much I love it!! It is so stable, making it so easy to get in and out of, tracks amazingly, and does not have to be lifted off the roof of our car! It will stow in the basement storage of the motorhome. The carry case also has straps on the back so you can carry it like a backpack. I even stood in it for the first time, without falling out! ?? I am 66 and an avid recreational kayaker. I highly recommend the Paragon!

Quick and easy

Quick and easy setup, very stable, tracks well. Handled fairly strong winds well. Cruised the lake all weekend, now I need an other one for my wife. Would have given 5 stars but the sticking on one of the seat straps gave way on day 2. Mended it quickly by hand, then back on the water.
