I discovered the Solar 1" Brief about a year ago and now own a pair in every color. I've been wearing Speedos since my high school water polo days and these are without a doubt, the most comfortable suits ever. I predominantly use them for lap swimming, however, they are also great for open water training. The minimalist design allows for an increased range of motion versus the standard Speedo brief which also translates into a much more stylish look. The traditional brief can at times resemble an adult diaper whereas these are much more flattering. I highly recommend!

The Speedo sizing is very different from most men's clothing; a Size 30 does not fit a 30" waist, and so forth. I am 5'10", very slim athletic toned build with muscular thighs and backside to match, and usually wear a waist size 28-29 in slacks. In my case, the Speedo Size 34 was what I needed; the 32 was too binding on my legs and crotch. I will note that the cut of the fabric & suit tends to compress your "man-parts", which perhaps is a good thing if you're doing a lot of swimming and diving- instances in which you don't want a lot of...protrusion. But a very well-made product, double-layered all around, including rear. Just keep the sizing in mind.

These are by far my favorite Speedo and I have had a few over the years. I am 6'3" 175 and find that the size 32 fits perfect. The cut is very flattering for those who can pull off a speedo and gives you the most freedom of movement for any activity. It is however the most revealing cut speedo offers but is still modest. There is zero risk for a wardrobe malfunction in these. I currently have these in Navy and Heather Gray. The Navy looks great and dries fast, Heather Gray looks awesome too, but is more of a textured fabric and does take a little longer to dry. Highly recommend these to anybody who is in the market for a new speedo!

My son loves the feel of the red and white suits, but we returned the black and navy suits because the fabric is thinner (not double layer) in the black and navy colors. This wasn't a fluke. We even exchanged a blue for another blue and it was the same, thinner material.

I've been wearing this swim suit for years. The solar 1" brief. I wish you had 1/2" solar brief. You use to have more solid colors and with no rear lining. I guess the demand dictates the limit of solid colors and rear lining. I'll still continue buying them. The 32" fits me perfectly and glides me through the water. I look great in them too??

I purchased this to use around my pool and hot tub here in Arizona. I ordered the same size a few years ago in a different color and really liked how it looked and felt. This new Speedo was much smaller and while I fit in it there wasn't any room to move around if you know what I mean. The quality of the construction and material is similar but the size changed and I haven't since I still have the old suit.

As a 25-year old in NYC with no competitive swimming experience, swim briefs aren't my expertise. It's an understatement to say that swim briefs aren't common AT ALL among my demographic, but this pair of speedos is perfect if you're looking for something sleek and light. The coverage is just the right amount for tanning while remaining respectable around others, and the material is thin enough to wear as underwear underneath clothing. This swim brief is exactly what I was looking for as an option for lounging in the sun or a quick dip in the water. Keep in mind: I'm typically a 30in waist in regular clothing, but I opted for the 32in size due to the size of my thighs and rear.
