The rubber top on mine is dark blue, the Velcro strap is black with a Hillsound logo. BTW, these are great microspikes and are wearing very well.

Cheryl M : I don't have snow or ice here, just a 45 degree hillside on sandy soil, covered with dry rye grass. I've taken one tumble down the hill and several near falls. I am 60 yrs old and need some traction to get up that hill to prune my trees. Any suggestions?Cheryl M : Thank you for taking time to answer my question. I'm going to give these a try--those trees aren't going to get pruned by themselves! If it does happen to snow (we do have frost here but by the time I'm outside it's all melted) then I will be ready!CHARLES C : Although made for ice traction, these small-spiked crampons would be quite suitable for steep dirt hills; they would provide a good grip on the soft soil and since they are stainless steel you can just wash them off...no rust. I'd recommend them.JILL P : I would be nervous that these wouldn't grip enough in sand... Unsure about it though. They're fantastic in ice. Whenever I have to walk up a steep incline I walk toe first for better grip. A local to you landscaper may have a suggestion. While these crampons are excellent they won't do well if it's gravely or rocky either. Good luck!JOHN B : hmmmmm... I don't know, Cheryl... If the grass is densely rooted in the soil they may work.. Lawn aerator shoes have longer spikes. If the spikes are too long you can have them trimmed a bit shorter. Something like that may be better for you.

Excellent hiking product.

Excellent grip on snowy or icy surfaces. Much more secure on your feet than the cheaper models. Easy to get on and off. Delivery was prompt with no surprises. I'd order again.
