I thoroughly enjoy the 1/4 zip base layers myself and own many, and this was a gift for my sister. She too is very happy with it, especially as these polar vertex weather fronts continue to push down into the US!

This is one of my favorite 100% merino tops for a light layer of warmth that doesn't make me sweat. The twilight blue heather is a beautiful color. I own another top like this that has lasted over 6 years and is still in great shape. I can wear a small or medium and opted for Medium this time. This current version is a bit too long on me and I will hem it, but otherwise love this top.

Have used this as a base layer on some very rainy hikes with mid-range temps. I was warm but still comfortable going uphill! Was shedding some bits of lint, but that has stopped after a few washes.

I love my Thermal Merino Base Layer 1/4 zip. The colors were exactly like the picture online and fit perfectly. This is my second 1/4 zip. I also love the Smartwool socks!

I use this for hiking or just walking the city on cold winter days. When it's 20 degrees and below I wear over a long sleeve Marino wool tee and with my down parka not only is it warm but looks great.

This wool thermal is my favorite layering top for skiing and all other cold weather activities! It is stretchy enough, comfortable, warm and just the right length. The 1/4 zip is helpful too.

I love this bra so far. It fits well and does not shift. I have yet to test it on sweaty hikes, but I suspect it will hold up well to the stinkiness like the rest of the smartwool line. Already ordered more

As a petite woman I appreciate the fit. It's not down past my behind like so many tops but covers my hips well. It's a great base layer or I wear alone on warmer winter days. I've got it in two colors and would live more and more patterns.

I have 6 of these, in 2 sizes. They are in constant rotation in my wardrobe whether I'm at home, doing chores, hiking or snowshoeing , rucking or just walking my dog. Love that they are 100% merino, long wearing and hold their shape with repeated use and laundering. Definitely one of my faves!
