Salomon Cross Hike Mid GTX Shoes for Women

I bought these boots and didn't even wear them until we went on vacation, hiking in the PNW, in September. First time wearing them I hiked about 8 miles. So unbelievably comfortable. Wore them for many more miles that week. Fast forward to October, trip to New England, after not wearing them between trips. Hiked the White Mountains in NH and on the second day of hiking the seams starting tearing. Very disappointed when I wore them for maybe 25-30 miles, 8 times max. Took them back to REI and got my money back. Was going to re-order another pair but after reading all of the reviews I may try a different pair. Really bummed because these were incredibly comfortable.

Bought these to get through the soggy seasons and they did not disappoint, super light, excellent traction, they are holding up really well, to hiking, dog walking through the season in NH. Four stars because one of them gives me a blister if I go too too long!

The lightest hiking boots, that are also super stable, that I have ever owned! I was a trail running shoes girl for hiking for years, then rolled ankles have changed that for my adventures. I am super psyched to have found these boots, great stability, ankle pro, and so light. Easy to travel with. The only downside is after a year of solid use, hunting and backpacking, the stitching (or tape) is coming off BUT Salomon is amazing and their customer service rocks. Highly recommend.

Love love these. I?ve worn them on many trail miles and even around the campsite. Recently worked 20 hours on my feet in them walking on concrete and to be honest though their lightweight features saved my knees their slightly elevated heel caused some calf and thigh cramps the following day. Who wouldn?t have sore legs after 20 hours on their feet though. My only complaint is that I wish the tongue was held closer to my ankle. Over time it tends to flop out an my pants creep up over it. Looks quite dorky and collects junk from the trail. Hopefully the next version will have a tongue just a tad bit less bulky. Otherwise still love ?em!

I'm not an avid hiker but I do like to protect myself. I was nervous wearing them the first time because some shoes you need to break in before your feet can adjust. We went to Eaton Canyon and boy! I was surprised! It was grippy, kept stomping because it was lightweight i was so excited! Although, i have flat feet. It got tired, yes but it was not painful. It was comfortable. One less star because of the lace. I kept making stops and "tying" my shoelaces.

I bought these for hiking in Aspen they did really great on steep climbs up and down as well as on rocks. We did two hikes there and I had no issues. On my 3rd hike in Arizona the fabric had started to separate on the sides. Its a shame because I love how stable and safe the shoes are! They are also very light weight!

I bought these to take to Iceland. I was hoping to replace my x ultra gortex hikers which have gone many miles in all conditions. These cross hike mid?s became available and I chose to give them a try for more ankle support. For Iceland they have been perfect. You definitely need Gortex waterproofing, and the high rise keeps the rain from seeping into the shoe. It took me a few hikes to adjust the lacing system to give me ankle support. It does seem the laces are a bit long but that length does come in handy at times. I was also hesitant about the color. Usually I choose black for travel but this lovely blue has changed my perspective.

These boots are so comfortable. The grip on them is absolutely amazing! I wore them on a 17+ mile hike with no hot spots. These are my go to boot all year round!

After going through a few different brands which left me with bruised ankles on my multiday hikes, these feel great. They have a flexible upper that feels more like a trail running shoe than a hiking book. I'm happy.

I?ve had these for a few months now, and they have been incredibly comfy from the off! They have excellent grip too, and the quick lace system is so handy for ease of removal. The other negative is the tongue is quite large (for comfort) but tends to sit further out from the boot I would usually like. Overall, a great boot!

Bought them for my wife as she is on her feet grooming and bathing dogs 8hrs a day. She says they are super comfortable and loves that they keep her feet dry.

bought these to climb some rocky mountians in Colorado!! i didnt get used to them before or try and break them in before, i just winged it and they are actually the best shoes to do so!!! love the color also, snow/mud/dirt actually doesn?t show up as much as i thought was going to happen

These shoes were great for a few of my summits. Very durable and extremely grippy on boulders and wet rocks! They fit normal, maybe a bit narrow, but works well for my narrow feet! These shoes are a great for what I needed them for. Shorter day hikes with great elevation!

My usual go-to hiking shoes are the X Ultra 3 Mid GTX boots, but they were unavailable for so long in my size that I decided to try something new. At first fit, I could not decide whether to go with my usual size (7.5 or move half a size up - neither felt quite right, but I ended up with my regular size as the half size larger felt too loose on my foot. The shoes themselves are ultra comfortable, very light, and have excellent grip. I loved these boots the first couple of (shorter - 10 km) hikes that I did, until I went on a two day much longer backpacking trip over some steep terrain. Everything was great going uphill, but as soon as the trail went steeply down, my toes jammed into the front of the shoes. At the end of the second day, every downhill step was torture. To top it off, like another reviewer noted, my shoes also started coming apart at the seams. I have never had a toe jamming issue with my other Salomon boots so I am not sure if I got the size wrong with these ones or if the boots just did not hold my feet in place as well as the other style. As much as I wanted to love these boots, for their initial comfort and lightness, I think that I will go back to the tried and tested X Ultra 3s.

I needed a boot for morning walks on cold and snowy days. They keep my feet dry and are very comfortable. Look forward to actually using them on hikes.

First I had to returned the first pair due to sizing(always an issue. But besides that what an awesome shoe!! Went on a 7mile hike in the snow (I?m from New England)the day after I got them, didn?t take long for them to break in! Awesome grip! Kept my feet decently warm through the hike. Recommend 100%

This is a very well made hiking shoe/boot. Would have liked to keep but returned this hiker due to the laces. I like regular laces in my shoes. If they break, they can easily be replaced. Reviews on the replacement laces for this shoe all said very difficult to relace.

These do so well in the conditions I put them through! I am crossing streams, trudging through snow and ice, and these take the elements. I don't have any issues with cold toes or water getting through. These are also very comfortable and I'm happy to wear them on the trail in any condition. Super lightweight!

Nothing to complain about them, light as air but the grip is very strong. I'm usually 7 1/2, but 6 1/2 is the right fit for me for these.

I've bought the shoe version of this design many times and I've never been disappointed. I bought this boot a bit large for heavy socks. The feel like air, so comfortable. No breaking in needed and I never think about my feet when hiking.

The most comfy boots I ever owned. Salomon out did themself on those. Best grip for all terrain specially on rocks, the shoe laces system keeps them hidden and in one place. Light, stylish and breathable and my favorite of all my Salomons that I ever owned .

This is truly the best pair of hiking boots I have had in my life. I always buy Salomon but this model totally checks off all the things that I needed!! Amazing comfort, lightness, fit , insole and inside lining soft and hugging your feet, the laces are the best thing ever !!! No more pain with laces untangling them selfs and fixing them during the walks!! This great lace system let you adjust them, hide them in the front pocket and go.I can?t brag enough about the grip !!! The best soles with the best traction and grip!! I love these boots so much and can?t thank you enough Salomon for making my hiking the best experience ever!!

Best boots ever. Like walking on air. I’ve recommended them to everyone. Great grip. Walked in them for hours straight away. They adapt to your foot shape like a glove. The pull tie is really quick and easy to adjust. I had to look online where to tuck in the long cord after it’s pulled tight. There is a garage for it on the tongue. So incredibly well designed.
