Wow. Looks solid and sturdy. I love the kryptek style to keep me incognito in the woods. I thought this was too rugged looking for me as I'm not going to the woods to stalk elks, mooses and dears -- but when I saw this in person, it doesn't look like I'm a GI Joe/Jane ready to prowl and catch a prey. I have several bivvies from various manufacturers but looks like this will be my favorite. Slumberjack should have indicated that the hoop is easily removable and should have shown pictures and packaging without it. It should have provided weight savings info and a small stuff sack when the hoop is removed (ultralight backpackers care about ounce and space savings). If I have known in the beginning that this does not look as big and bulky when the hoop is removed, I probably would have not purchased the other bivvies I already have. As for the performance, judging from the 8 bivvies I already used -- this looks waterproof as long as it's not monsoon deluge. With ample of zippers and bug net, condensation should not be a major issue. Can't wait to try this camouflaged in the backcountry in kryptek style.

My experience is like many others, great product but the hooped area falls in my face which is uncomfortable and hot. Should be an easy fix though.

These are the most durable and comfortable bags that my family and I have found. They can house every sleeping bag we own and the way this bivy is raised to save it from resting on your face is a HUGE plus. The camo colouration of this bag is excellent for the bushcraft camping experience.
