Shokz heavy user daily since 2021. I upgrade about as often as many upgrade their iPhone. Why upgrade so often? Because I walked 19,003 steps per day in 2025, an annual increase since 2021. Just got the amazing OpenRun Pro 2, my 4th Shokz headphone which I love incrementally more than my last pair, the ones with the boom microphone. Way too geeky those. So, try other headphone options. Wear Shokz a bit for walking, running, cycling and cooking dinner and you'll be hooked on the brand. . . much like you might be with Patagonia, Filson, Brooks. and Apple.

Major upgrade from is predecessor

The sound quality is greatly improved. No more vibrating buzz with the volume up, just pure music. They sound like over-ear headphones while still allowing the sounds of traffic and my surroundings. Love them!

I like they feel on

I like they feel on my ears. But it does kinda bother me when I wear my welding cap. And they work really good with ear plugs in. I work in a plant so I play music all day and I can still hear everyone talk.

Wouldn't use anything else now

I had to be without my open ear pro's for a week. It reminded me of how much I love them. With Shokz, you also participate in the world around you if necessary, but can also be fully immersed in whatever you're listening to on your phone or computer. I pair both with mine and can alternate between YouTube or calls on my phone and zoom calls on my computer easily. They're the best piece of tech I've loved so much!

Great for most things

Love being able to hear around me better than any airbuds, but you can't really comfortably lay down or rest the back of your head on them because the behind the ears parts apply pressure to the back of your ears, that eventually starts to hurt. Great for going about your day, but not ideal for relaxing at home. Can be some times too quiet if there is a lot of noise around you.

Just got my 5th set of aftershocks and this is the latest generation and the sound quality is very poor. I have told everyone about the superiority of Aftershokz and unfortunately this latest version requires me to stick my finger in my ear to hear phone conversations. Not convenient at all?unhappy
