Well made, but maybe not quite a 20 degree bag.
Overall nice bag. Well made. Found that it felt a bit cool in 40 degree temps. Haven't tried it at a lower temp yet.

The Jury is Still Out
Just gave this bag to my son (17) for Christmas. He chose it over a comparable down bag due to greater versatility on the trail - doesn?t weigh much more than a 20-degree down bag. He hasn?t tried it yet - possibly won?t use it until this summer when school is out. We?ll check in then with the real evaluation.

Solid for the price and warm weather
Overall a good bag. Doesn't pack down very small, but does work in the bottom of a 60L bag. A compression bag helps but this doesn't come with one so buy separately. Its comfortable and the foot vent thing is fantastic for warm weather. Highly recommend for summer packing.

Synthesis 20º sleep bag
Overall this is a very good bag with some really nice features, double sided zippers and the foot vent. Everyone needs to remember that the 20º rating is extreme and not the Comfort temperature. I would really like a 10º bag for the temp range I camp early in the year.

not warm enough
I like my Synthesis 20 bag, but was cold in it when night time temps were in the 40s. I was wearing long sleeve base layer top and bottom too! I am a cold female sleeper, but thought I should be warm with a 20 in 43 degree weather.

Good bang for your buck
So far I’ve only used this once but it is comfortable. It got into the low 50s and was fine, so I can’t speak to yet how it will handle in lower temps. The bag itself though seems nice and the material is comfortable.

Good sleeping bag
I spent 4 days backpack hunting with this sleeping bag. It’s lightweight and packs down small. Lows were about 34*F and stayed warm. Only thing I would change is the hood. You can’t synch the hood around your chin area, so you end up pulling it right over the top half of your face and loose on the bottom.

Excellent sleeping bag
I love this bag so much, when I first unboxed it I used it in the house. The versatility of the footbox and length of the zipper came in all sorts of handy as I surely didnt need the warmth it provided! High recommend!

Daughter Loves it!
She hasn’t been camping in it yet (this weekend actually) but she sleeps in it on top of her bed every night. Good quality, and she says it’s very comfy.

Snug as a bug!
Quite light and packs smaller than you’d think (I would say it is smaller than most bags of comparable warmth). Very warm with a nice head area to put an inflatable pillow and a small opening to hang your feet out of if you’re too warm. Hard to fault really.

Not your normal review
This is not going to be your typical gear review I currently live in South Lake Tahoe and just after I received this sleeping bag in the 20 degree rating. Two days later I experienced a gas leak and consequently did not have heat at my place. I pulled out the sleeping bag and didn't look back. Even though I had residual heat the over night temperature dropped to around 5 degrees and I never got cold. Once again Sierra Designs has proven that they make quality gear.

Incredible sleeping bag!!
I can hands down say that this is the most comfortable sleeping system I’ve ever used. I had been so excited about the comfort that I’ve used it in my own home on nights I’m not out in the wild. Sierra designs really knocked it out of the park with the Synthesis series! Highest recommends!
