Great Tent, not as wide as advertised.

I purchased this tent for the width specified in the specs, 51 inches. I wanted a good bike packing tent for my boyfriend and myself. Measuring it, set up, the width is closer to 45 inches. Not sure if they are specifying a dimension of the floor before it's all sewn together or what, but while set up, it is not as wide as I hoped. That being said, it's still bigger than my backpacking tent and there is plenty of space at our feet for gear. Just don't expect it to be as wide as advertised. Two standard thermarest pads do fit in there pretty decent. Also I absolutely LOVE how much screen there is on the tent for those beautiful starry nights.

Wonderful Addition to my gear

This tent is great and I am so glad to have it on my last two backpacking trips. It has plenty of space and the set up is easy. Overall it is perfect in so many ways and I love supporting SD.

Haven't used it yet but seems nice

I purchased this tent last month to use primarily for car camping. Set the tent up in my room for an initial impression. Very intuitive, quick easy setup. Impressed by overall build quality and number of stakes/guy lines for windy conditions. As others have noted, it's a super roomy tent and easily accommodates two people. Definite upgrade from my old REI Camp Dome. I had to purchase the separate footprint-- too bad it didn't include the footprint as I think it's an important piece of any shelter kit. Look forward to using this tent- also worth noting that the new color combo is a big improvement over the old version. The fly is more of a light gray, not as white as the photo on their website.

Solid 3 Season roomy Tent

Reasonably light, very roomy compared to "ultra light" tents that are also ultra small. Big enough for two adults + a child or a dog. If weight is all you care about this may not be your tent. If you want livable space, this tent is a solid choice.

So much room, you'll want to extend your stay in the outdoors
The Meteor is large and in charge, bringing you vast interior space at a minimum weight. With two doors and two vestibules there is plenty of storage for gear, and the fully freestanding design makes set up fast and easy.
