The darkness is fabulous for the late sunsets and early morning sunrise of summer! Unexpected surprise the light blocking properties also helped keep temperatures down in the tent.

This tent is awesome! As an Alaskan mom with a toddler that needs darkness to fall asleep, I've always struggled during tent camping because the sun doesn't fully set here in the summer. This tent completely solves this issue! The light blocking technology is amazing and it keeps the tent surprisingly dark. Every time we use it my son sleeps in! It's also great for naptime. The tent is easy to set up and take down. I once set it up in a windstorm and it held up really well! The tent is definitely heavy but I feel like the materials are really strong and will hold up for a long time. If you have kids, live in Alaska, or just like to sleep in then this is the car camping tent for you!

Very well constructed tent. Awesome tent fly and vestibule, plenty of room for gear outside.

I really like the tent overall. The size is good and I like the dark out material. The main body of the tent is very easy to set up but I have found installing the rain fly to be somewhat difficult. There is a tight sleeve that you need to thread the fly support pole through which increases the difficulty of installing it. I find that the sleeve is too tight and you need to feed the pole through the sleeve very carefully. It is even worse taking it down. The pole sections pull apart and remain connected only by the shock cord. I fear the shock cord will fail. The sleeve should have been made larger in diameter or in segments so the pole would be easier to install. Better yet, eliminate the sleeve and install the fly with clips like on the body of the tent. It has fiberglass poles instead of aluminum so it is heavier but this is not an issue when car camping. The quality of the materials and sewing seem excellent.

I bought this as a comfort upgrade over my ultralight 2 person backpacking tent. This tent has enough room for the 2-Person Airbed, and all of my other stuff. The Twilight Tech keeps it nice and dark, day or night. It blocks out enough light to make it pitch black at night, and headlights from other cars in the campground won't even bother you. It stood up amazingly well to weather. The tent was in 20 mph wind and a torrential downpour, and stayed totally dry! Our campsite flooded, and the tent was in a 10ft wide, 1.5" deep puddle, and everything inside was dry! The only negative thing about this tent is the pole and sleeve for the rainfly. It's really annoying to thread through, and in reality takes two people. It is also annoying to take the pole out of the sleeve when it's take-down time.

Went on our first (and only trip to date) with the Alpine Glow last month. I loved the open mesh at the top, as this is the first tent I have gotten with that feature. Looked awesome, but my friends convinced me that overnight the moisture was going to be a problem. (Live in the deep south). So I put the rainfly on. I DID NOT tether it on all sides as I should have. I did open the vent, and closed the vestibule all the way. The next morning there was enough moisture on the inside of the fly that when my wife was knocking the web worms off, she soaked a corner of the sleeping bag. I have a feeling that if I had used a footprint, tethered all the positions on the fly that might not have happened. As far as the construction of the tent, it appears very well made. Love the smoothness of the zippers. I did notice two spots that appear to be pin holes in the fly, but they did not appear to allow moisture in the tent, so I believe that is just two small spots that the inside coating did not take.

Really like this tent! It doesn?t become a bright hot sauna in the morning. Good in the storming rain as well. Stayed upon 25-30 mph winds.

Great features that did a good job of keeping the inside dark in the morning after sunrise. Easy setup for the most part. It was a bit difficult to get the pole through a sleeve in the rainfly (and same struggles when breaking it down), but the two main poles were really easy to attach as there are no sleeves.
