Tough Case
I've used this box for countless boat dives. Great for keeping dry things dry and also good for fragile items, sunglasses, phone, etc. The addition of a pressure equalization valve would be a nice touch.. Learned that packing this case sealed up before flying makes for a real challenge getting it opened at destination.. Either pack it "unlatched" or put it in your carry on.
The S3 T3500 case is foam-lined (except clear case), watertight, hard-sided and airtight (it floats!). This patented dry box is designed to handle full submersions--up to 80' (24.38m) for 30 minutes. Clear cases are made of high-quality polycarbonate. All other colors from high impact ABS. All hinge and latch pins are made from stainless steel and will not rust. Latches are a compound design for positive seal and easy opening of case. Padlock ready (lock holes next to latches) for absolute security and peace of mind. Case comes with foam insert for protection of content from shifting and high impact.
Case has outside dimensions of 8.38" x 4.66" x 3.99" (21.3cm x 11.8cm x 10cm) with internal dimensions of 7.88" x 3.90" x 3.53" (20cm x 10 cm x 9 cm) with a volume of 108.5 cubic inches (1.78 liters) and weighs 16 oz. (453.6 g) when empty. Great waterproof storage for critical yet smaller items. The internal dimensions make this case perfect for storing GPS tracking devices, medications, electronic keys, pager, jewelry, Fitbit, activity trackers, handheld gaming devices/accessories, iPod, MP3, geocache storage, credit cards, cash, wallet, passport, checkbook, first aid and safety supplies, survival kit, smartphone, cell phones, glasses, batteries, fishing lures, ammunition, camera, goggles and more. Case comes equipped with an adjustable lanyard for attachment to wrist, gear or line. Case conforms to MIL-STD-810F Transit Drop Test and Immersion Test and SAE J575 Dust Resistant Test.
