I bought a pair of these a couple years ago and they came in too big. Not bad for dryland, but saggy for surfing. Now I thought I'd be smart and size down, but they are way too tight for dryland! I bet they would have been perfect for both had I just purchased "my size" to begin with. The trunks are worth the $80 bucks. Sure wish they would make them in Hawaii brown though. One trip across town in those fruity colors and they stay stain already.

These are generally good shorts but I suggest they have a few design flaws. They made the fly too small, making it difficult to get past my hips/butt. Fits great once I struggle into them. Second, they still have stitching inside that causes chafing when you spend 2-4 hours in the surf. I still have a pair of Rip Curls I bought a number of years ago that have zero stitching. All seams are glued and have lasted for a long time. Best shorts ever! Please bring them back!!! And, BTW, the fly on these is bigger so you can actually get them on without a hassle. Last, the pocket has a vertical zipper, which makes it quite impractical. When you unzip, everything falls out. Suggest you make the zipper horizontal and put it on the back. Take care of these things and you'll have the ideal board short!

Love these shorts. Great fit, stretch fabric makes them way more comfortable on the jet ski. No binding. Even the drawstring is designed to stay tied. Used to buy a couple of QS shorts each summer, these are my new go to.

I have had numerous board shorts over the years and the attention to detail is outstanding. I used them surfing and kiteboarding and 0 rub rash. Super stretchy and durable.. they have taped seams I guess done by the wetsuit crew wow!! Never came untied during sessions.. my wife is a seamstress and she was totally impressed. Thanks for a great product!!!

Not many places can you find boardshorts in a 35 waist and, for me, the typical choice between 34 and 36 is a choice for too small or too big and I end up sending them back. Not all of the Rip Curl shorts are available in a 35 (I wish they all were), but having now worn them, their designs are good and the product well made - I am happy with the 4 pair that I got. I'll be back looking for more.

I absolutely love these shorts! I'm 6' tall and these shorts are still well above me knees, which I wanted, to prevent them from sticking to my legs. The materials are flexible and allow freedom of motion. I would definitely but these again. Fit is true to size. You can't go wrong with all black!!

Love the shorts until I surfed in them and realized the 19? length rides up halfway up my thigh when sitting on my board. The back of my leg rubbs on the wax and my knee/thigh got fried. Wish I could return them but I already surfed in them. My bad for not realizing but boy stoked. Still super comfortable. Very roomie and love the stretch and hip pocket. Just wish they were in 20? or 21?

Officially the only boardshort I wear to go surfing. Super comfortable both in the water and on the beach. They hold up incredibly well. The cordura fabric is a game changer. Highly recommend!
