My old Roamer lease broke and Ruffwear replaced under warrantee. They were great to work with! Love the lease - makes running with my dogs very easy! The bungee is a great and cushions the pull when there is a squirrel!

I bought the longer length in this leash and it's the perfect length when worn around my waist. I have two pups that seem to always want to walk/sniff in opposite directions so having two 6ft handheld leashes was not working. Now I wear the Roamer bungee leash around my waist for one pup and a handheld leash for the other and it's the perfect setup. If you want to wear the leash around your waist and still have about 6ft length for you pup, get the long version of the leash, but it might drag a bit on the floor if your pup walks right next to you (and is a shorter pup). Just something to consider and really depends on what works best for you. I needed the extra length for them to sniff and explore easily on our walks.

I bought the shorter leash but, by the time I adjusted it to fit my waist, there wasn't much leash left. I returned it and got the longer one and that works perfectly. My dog has timed her sniffs and peemails so that I don't have to stop running. The only problem is, my dog doesn't stick to one side and I can't have the leash very snug around my waist. Other than that. Love it.

This leash is so well designed! The ability for the human to wear it around their waist is very nice for jogging and being hands free. I am 5'4", so the shorter version is okay for me, but my 6'4" spouse would be more comfortable with the longer version, and we may get another one in the longer length for this reason. It is super easy to adjust the length to switch between wearing it around your waist and being used hand held. The bungee is excellent for Socks to be able to wander a little but also be reminded that she's still attached to the leash, and is great when jogging and she stops suddenly to investigate an interesting smell. The loop near the clasp is also excellent when we need to keep Socks a little closer when passing people on the trail. I am especially excited to use it more on trail runs as it gets cooler. All in all, it is worth the $40+ price tag (the first non-recycled from climbing rope leash we've ever had) and I'm so glad I purchased it.

We love this for hands free option when hiking or walking a rail trail. This is our 4th one, and have had them for over 10 years. The only design option we would LOVE to see added is a half way clip on point. Sometimes you don't want them at the full extended length, we added a zip tie with a carabiner to the lead at about a 3 foot length, then added a metal d ring on the waist band for this option. But please consider it on a new re-design in the future!

We had purchased one of these style of leashes in the past for running. It was a little long for walks as the dogs typically walk only a few strides ahead of us. This length is perfect for that!

The bungee seems much more durable/stretchy than a previous Ruffwear leash I have. Love the leash but it needs some minor improvements. I'm really not sure how the waist strap should be adjusted to make it longer or shorter. Making adjustments seems difficult and requires me to make multiple adjustments/feeds to get it to the right length. (My waist is bigger than my wife's). The hook would be better if it was more like a snap link closure. Having to pinch it open and connect to my dog while he is moving around (excited to go for a walk) is hard to do. Despite my complaints I would recommend this to other dog owners.

This leash has upped our running game for sure. We had the leash without the bungee before which is also good. The bungee is more forgiving on my body when my dog sees a lizard or when she wants to run thru the puddle but ai want to round around it!

I had previously used a retractable leash but each leash broke down within a few months. The Bungee leash provides enough flexibility and additional length needed our walks and when Mazie wants to dip her paws in the lake while I remain on shore. I especially like the handle near the clasp for times when I need to hold Mazie closer in a crowd. It has answered the need for both a short and retractable leash in one product.

This is the best leash I have found. I enjoy the ability to clip/unclip the handle. This is great for going places and needing to clip the leash to a table, bench, tree, etc. I bought the short leash which is perfect for day to day. I also go running with my dog and the ability to put the leash around my waist is great. If I was primarily using it for running in a non crowded area I would probably get the longer version. The bungee is also great for running because it helps smooth out the pulling motion. 5/5 leash.

I bought the Roamer because of the bungee- my boy?s a stop-n-sniffer - but I tried the hands free feature and it works so well that now I always have two hands on our walks.

I have only had my puppy for two weeks and already the leash is fraying. Otherwise, it is a super leash and I really like the give it has in the bungee section. A bit disappointed that I am going to have to order another expensive leash fairly soon.

This was a gift for a friend with an exuberant Lab that likes to explore EVERYthing back and forth across your path...and just the little bit of 'stretch' that 11 foot leash has is perfect for this dog/ owner / situation-- Glad we bought it !

I purchased the 5.5'-7' Roamer Bungee Dog Leash for my Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix, Ruby (approx. 45 lbs). She loves to run and hike, but doesn't like bulky leashes. We have run together in neighborhoods and hiked on nature trails and this leash is awesome! Super comfortable for me (love to be hands-free), and Ruby doesn't seem like she even notices it clipped to her harness (clip is really durable and easy to use). I like the bungee that gives a little when she wants to roam a little more. The only "negative" about this leash is that while the leash stretches to 7', it operates at the 5.5' length normally, which is a little shorter than I was expecting. I didn't factor this in, but a normal 6' leash is coming from the end of your arm so when this leash is sitting on your waist you are losing about 1.5'-2' of additional room you normally have. If would have realized this, I would have purchased the the 7.3'-11' length which would have given me closer to the 6'-7' hand-held leash length I am accustomed to. Purchasing the wrong leash length was my fault, but otherwise love this leash and will probably get the longer one soon.

This is my second Roamer Bungee Dog Running Leash so it is safe to say that I love it and so do my GSP's. I had the first one for 7 years and I had to get a new one because it was frayed and snapped. I can honestly say that I used it 6 days out of the week to run or walk my dog. The thing that I like the best about this leash is that I am able to clip it around my waist the first one I had did not do this. I had to shimmy it up my legs and tighten it.

I like it! The leash around waist really saves the arms when dog pulls. I do find that my dog pulls a bit more with the chest fit, since there is no restriction to her neck, but over all am glad with purchase. Expensive, but worth it.

This leash is well made and durable but also functional. I like that it can be adjusted to fit around your waist if needed and the versatility to have it longer. The length is perfect (my dog loves it!) and the elastic is an extra benefit. Best leash I have found.

We have a 55lb Blue Lacey who is intent upon hunting rabbits, so when I say this leash is sturdy I mean it. No visible wear and tear, and the buckle holds strong! The bungee is strong and the leash is about average 6 foot after you wrap it around a human waist (full extension on the bungee, only 4-ish feet when it's relaxed.) This is great for hiking hands-free or just adding some extra resistance when she would otherwise try to pull (it's wabbit season).
