The Helix Basecamp is the larger, more powerful of the Helix Lantern series. Helix Basecamp packs the latest LEDs, while the collapsible globe keeps the light soft on your eyes. Folding legs raise the lantern up to ensure it lights up a wide area, while multiple hanging options add versatility. Folding legs and collapsible globe also allow the lantern to pack down to half its size while you are in route to your destination. The globe can be removed to swap the diffused glow to a direct spot light. The power dial controls dimmable white and red LEDs in the same intuitive manner as old-school gas lanterns.

This lantern provides a burn time in white LED on high for 8-hours and 30-hours on low. With the red LED on high the burn time is 16-hours and 40-hours on low. Both the white and red LED are dimmable design and the light can provide up to 150 lumens of brightness. The white LED is a Maxbright and the 2-red LED's are Ultrabright LED's. Power is supplied by 3-AA alkane batteries (included). This light is designed for area illumination and disperses light in a 360° pattern to light up a campsite or other area. Lights rated IPX6 have a high level of water resistance; generally, they can take a quick dunking, some precipitation and even a strong spray of water. If water enters the housing of the light, please remove the batteries and dry everything out.
