We took it with us for 4 day trip to havasupai backpacking. Worked great better than any other filter I have used. No pump. Intuitive. Easy to backflow/maintain. Good quality. Non stinky, no smell/odor in the water.

Not taste free
For me, this has the same foul taste of every other bladder I've owned. I clean things well and live a healthy lifestyle, so I don't think it's me. Also, it leaks a bit, no matter how tightly I close it. Also very hard to fill with river water on the go. Disappointing.

Good value.
Well made and affordable. Could use a shutoff for the mouth piece to prevent leakage. Still good value for what you get.

Fantastic
Had my Platy for many years and its absolutely brilliant. Still fresh clear tasting water.

Love the new design
I absolutely love my new 1 liter Platypus. It has so many improvements over the original Platypus that I have been using for several years now: improved position of the nozzle on the side of the reservoir instead of in the bottom middle, the ability to hang the reservoir (before it always fell to the side), and the increased flexibility of the plastic. The only thing I miss is having the metal clip that used to come attached to the hose. I don't understand what to do with the current hose clip (you can attach it to the hose, but I don't get how you can attach it to the pack, and I can't find any instructions about how to do this).

Love the new design

Yet to be used
Gave these to 4 people at Christmas time..... they were very pleased because they said the old ones had a stale taste.... won't be used for a number of months

Oldie, but goody
The best thing about this bladder is that it doesn't have any extra weight on it. The design is very simple and has actually been around for a very long time before it started getting popular again with the ultralight crowd.
I am finally buying a new one after about 15 years because my old one developed a leak along the seam.

Wish customer service was more responsive
Purchased two of the 2L versions, one for my wife and one for myself. Unfortunately one of them had a small hole in the elbow that connects the hose to the reservoir, straight out of the box water was spraying out the side of it. I filled out the form on the warranty page and received an auto generated email back almost immediately with a case number and a note that said they would respond to cases in the order received. Three and a half weeks later i still have not received any response. I really like the one that works and have used it many times. I understand issues like this happen, and would have probably just purchased a new elbow and and moved on , but i cant find a replacement available any where. I love the product, but very frustrated that I'm unable to resolve what seems like a minor problem.

I like the hoser because it is slim and fits in my slim bicycle hydration pack. Other hydration systems are too wide or large and have a strange mid-hose attachment that occurs in the wrong spot. I like the platypus version because the hose is sleek and easily slots through the pack slots and also it is slim but still holds a lot of water. with only one spot to refill and attach there is reduced chance of having a leak. Simple and reliable- just what you want in a hydration system.

Beats heck out of the jury rigged soft-bottle I'd been using. Ensures I stay better hydrated. Light as heck. Tip: Just ensure the hose, where it exits the cap, is routed in the plane of the reservoir and not at an angle.

Lasts forever, amazing product
I have had my Platypus Hoser for more than 15 years now and it still works great. It's the two liter version, very similar to this one. No complaints ever, easy to clean, light weight, and very durable. My version even has "patent pending" still on it. And a logo with a Platypus illustration, which I love! Thanks @Platypus for all these years of joyful and well-hydrated hiking and biking thanks to the Hoser :)

Great product. Great Support.
I purchased 3 of the 2.0 liter Hoser Resevoirs and 1 happened to have a small leak after a couple of uses. I sent the reservoir in and received a whole new replacement without any issue. I have other Platypus bottles as well and they have been working great. Very satisfied.

Platypus' Hoser is light and works reliably for years.
