Need a cap for the 6 L clean bag

Does the 6 L clean bag come with a cap? I lost the cap and I would be willing to buy another bag just to get the cap. Love the system

Replacement cap for CLEAN 4L?

I love this filter system but I lost the cap for the CLEAN 4. 0 L bladder. How do I go about buying a new cap/ what are the specs for that cap? I suppose a normal water tight cap of the right size could work. Thank you!

Zip close

The zip close doesn't close anymore. Otherwise the system works great! I live my gravity works.

I've used these for years. I've never had a problem-except when a mouse chewed into one. Otherwise, they've served me well

Great products - PLEASE SELL THE CLEAN TANKS AND CAPS!!!

Awesome system!!! The clean bags double as really great longer distance water containers (IE kayaking for a few days with no fresh water available..) can you pretty please sell them in 4L and 6L with caps??? Much more trustworthy than the "Platy bag" with the seal along its length. You might even make the bags so the caps attach with a tether, they're very easily to lose in the field.

I was expecting a Clean reservoir. Got the Dirty replacement. It's fine, but do you sell the Clean? The other parts I purchased are perfect. Thanks.

Difficult to dry

Hands down the best water filter I?ve ever used in 30 years of drinking from backcountry streams and lakes. It?s miraculously easy to set up, walk away and the next time you glance at it you have four liters of clean, clear, and tasteless water. My only gripe is why can?t the Clean reservoir have the same wide zip-loc opening as the Dirty reservoir to allow easier drying and cleaning? The little soda cap opening on the Clean reservoir doesn?t allow enough air exchange to permit proper drying in less than 2 days, promoting mildew growth and more frequent cleaning, which is also a pain because of the small opening. So close to five stars, but not quite.

I recently purchased the 4l

I recently purchased the 4l replacement reservoirs for my Platypus filter which had the 2l reservoirs. I used them on a backcountry hunt/camp. Unfortunately no pictures. They were a game changer. I love the ease of using the Platy system and the 4l size was great. Allowed us to fill our water bottles, make food, and some left over for hydration before having to make our way to the stream to refill. Odd that the clean res. didn't come with a cap though...?

Great system, but you should sell replacement parts individually

The "dirty" bags are not available for separate purchase in the 4.0 and 6.0 liter sizes. This is silly. I made a warranty repair request today that I wouldn't have even bothered with, if I could buy a new "dirty" bag individually, even at $32. I'm a loyal customer with an original 1.0L platypus water bag from the late 1990's It's been on hundreds of trips, to the tops of high mountains and deep into caves. It's taken a LOT of abuse and is still watertight! I *think* my 4.0L "dirty" gravity filter bag has a defective seam, judging from the way the pinhole opened up from the inside rather than being a puncture, so the warranty will probably be honored, but why make us go through these steps when longtime loyal customers will gladly replace individual parts? Don't make us buy 2 bags. Even if your stated purpose of selling pairs of bags is for "extra capacity," the reality is, extra water is only gained by hauling 2 dirty bags on a water run. Nobody really needs an extra "clean" bag, because the group always has plenty of empty water bottles. Sell clean and dirty bags separately please!

Seam Failure

Great system but there is evidently some product quality issues that make it through as noted with some of these reviews. For me, the Clean bag has delaminated along one side of the hard threaded plastic. This results in water spraying everywhere when filling directly from the Clean bag, or newly filtered water leaking out of the Clean bag if it is being filled from the filter line at certain angles. Also as noted by others, I hear nothing back from the Cascade Designs warranty team after filling out about one form per year. I wouldn't complain about purchasing it a new bag if it were more reasonably priced.

Sell the ?dirty? reservoir only as an option

I love the system, but the receiving reservoir is just a waste of money and resources. I filter directly into clean Platypus water bags (1 and 2 liter). You should sell just the ?dirty? reservoir with a Platypus connector below the filter on the outlet hose.

Fine product

I wanted to be able to have more water ready to filter at one time. If only the mouth was easier to open and close, and bigger to make it easier to fill. Maybe I should have tried a 4L.

Great system, but hard to close the zip top.

Please bring back the slide closure for the 'zip top' portion of the bladder. I love the system, but after multiple back country trips of 7+ days, trying to close the top of the bladder in the cold, mornings & evenings, worked the skin on my thumb & forefinger edges.

Recommended addition to Platypus filter

In alpine climbing there's little time to lounge and camp. Instead of making multiple trips from basecamp to a water source, now I can make but one. The time saved is well worth the pack weight of the bags for teams with multiple members.
