Great product. I wish they were cheaper to replace, but you can't beat them for what they are capable of doing.

have always enjoyed the Platypus gravity system and it's so nice to have extra filters. The simplicity of having gravity to most the work while you prep food or do other camp chores.

Took the new filter with me on a trek down Kaibab trail in the Grand Canyon. Was able to get clean water from a steady stream down by Phantom Ranch. Nice and cool, clean and crisp is how I would describe it. Then, I used it again half way back up the trail at a location that had rain water collected in big barrels that you could use with a filter and consume. Otherwise, it was not potable. Love my gravity works, can't wait to use it this summer camping.

5th trip. Some 6 days to 2 days. Added the carbon filter. Every lake or river i dipped from the water filtered quickly and very clean

Great filter. Lightweight, simple, works well. Could use a pre-screen to keep large particles out of the filter, though.

I have had this filter system for well over 4 years now. I am still using all the original parts and filter. This is a great resource to have for backpacking and for scouting. I have used this system to filter many, many liters for over 10 people on backpacking trips. I am just now considering getting a new filter.

I have used these filters for years and it is always my go-to for group camping. It is even easy enough and durable for Scouts, And if it can handle a bunch of 12-13 year olds using it ,and it lasts for years- well.... enough said

Painless shipping, and is an exact replacement for the filter in my Gravityworks system. Filters water at the advertised speed, and is still just as easy to clean and verify integrity.

Works great. Just replaced the filter for the first time after probably 8 years. I think the foam ends are unnecessarily bulky. Great product that revolutionized filtering water!

I bought this to have on hand for when the original gets too slow. Haven't used this one yet, so review is based on original filter that is came with the GravityWorks system. The whole system is easy to use and definitely more efficient and easier on the hands than pumping. 4 instead of 5 stars because Gravity Works filters are a bit finicky to get the air out of and get the water running the first time after being stored (so each time we filter in camp after draining and putting away the filter). It may be more finicky after many uses than when new. Once you get the water flowing, it works well and is quick to filter volumes of water.

Love it! I use my filter for weekend backpacks with a group and week-long thru-hikes as well as lengthy day hikes. It's perfect for me because all you have to do is set it up and let it run! My only difficulty has been getting it dry after trips, but I think that's unavoidable because of the shape the reservoirs need to be.

We've taken this filter system on many backpacking trips and love it! It's so easy to use and allows you to efficiently filter large quantities of water. During the day we typically fill the dirty bag and filter directly into our water bottles. When we get to camp we filter and fill the clean bag then refill the dirty bag and take back to camp to use in the morning. Gravity does all the work and backwashing the filter is so easy. Highly recommend this filter system!

After camping with a friend that had one - Purchased two - one for my sons in Colorado ( they camp a good bit) and one for my wife and I.... my son took it on a trip with a group of six to the Canoe Waters in near Canada .. now all of them purchased one... stated they had been going for years - only thing was their old water system made the water taste funny - not with this one ... now they all own one ( we did get the extra taste filters )

I've used the GravityWorks filter for several years! At time the flow rate slows down with silty water, but with a simple backflush the life is restored!
