It is very inconvenient to be attached to an IV pole for 4-8 hours a day, and carrying a backpack everywhere is exhausting. This waist pack is a great alternative! It fits a rigid, 1 Liter IV bag, an infusion pump and IV prep supplies. All while leaving room for essentials like my wallet and keys. And unlike a backpack, it does not hurt to carry around.

Right equipment for the job

I purchased the Seral 4 for mountain biking. I was looking for a hydration pack that could carry the necessary fluids and have room for the essentials; keys, cell phone, small assortment of tools and some type of power bar. The Seral 4 is quite accommodating, not overly big or bulky. I have been using the pack for over three months and have zero issues. The perfect bag for my one/ two hour ventures on the bike.

It does the job

On the whole I love Osprey products and know that I am buying a quality product. I can tell that everything will stand the test of time and it is reasonably comfortable. The smaller pocket is great for tools that I would otherwise loose on the trail and it has a good form factor to cram stuff into. My few annoyances with the product are that the pocket for the reservoir sits higher in the pack than I would have as ideal. This creates a weird bulge on your back and also makes it harder to fully utilize space. Additionally, the hip straps are not very long and do not hug as much as pinch. I have a standard waist size and they barely reach my mid hip bone. I would have loved to see a slightly wider pack or longer pads.

This slim waistpack features a 1.5-liter bladder with Osprey updated high-strength magnetic coupling for improved hose management even in rough terrain. The Seral 4 has enough storage capacity for ride essentials, such as a spare tube, CO2 and multi-tool and, of course, snacks. Constructed with high-quality bluesign-approved recycled high-tenacity nylon with a PFC-free DWR coating.

Lumbar Carry
For riders who require hydration or gear storage while riding, but prefer the off-the-back carry and minimalism provided by lumbar packs.

Included Reservoir
A dedicated hydration compartment stores an included 1.5 L lumbar reservoir for short to medium rides and compresses for stable carry, while the hose magnet attaches to the bite valve for easy access while riding.
