This is my second warranty replacement Foray jacket. The current design corrects the design flaw in an earlier version of the jacket: pocket interior fabric was bonded on and the membrane eventually delaminated from shell, at the bottom of the pocket. The bottom of the pockets in the current Foray are stitched closed with the hem of the jacket. It's a stronger more durable joint. I like the neon yellow shell color option and the longer sleeves. The current Foray changed the front zipper from dual slide to single slide and the hood stowage hardware was deleted. I'm fine with those changes. I liked the dual slide front zipper when sitting in the car, to keep the jacket from bunching up. The side zippers can do the same thing. The zippered sides now have storm flaps. The earlier version didn't. There's some tactile confusion when trying to feel for the pocket opening. There's more fumbling around now. Overall I'm pleased with the jacket.

I really like this jacket. I always keep it close juste in case that the weather is not as good as the weather forecast told us? lightweight but durable, waterproof et breathable. Perfect for 3 seasons. Not enough place to put winter clothes inside.

First trip with this new jacket saw 3 days of constant rain. Kept me dry the whole trip. Love the ventilation options, wore it zipped from the bottom with pack waist belt under the front flap. First rainy hike I didn't out sweat a Gore-Tex.

I will use this over a puffy down jacket when it is cold and raining and just by itself when it is warmer and raining. It is very well built with great features like full length pit zips and adjustable hood for when I'm not wearing a hat. The waterproof zippers are well done as well as the welded seams. I like having an external chest pocket in addition to the 2 hand pockets

Same great jacket. Replacement for older OR goretex jacket. Great fit, great look, and quality product. OR stand behind their product. Solid warranty.

Recently got caught in an August snow storm in the Yosemite High Country. I hiked 15 miles from Ruby Lake to Reds Meadow in the jacket. Great breathability, and ventilation was easy to adjust on the fly. Packs up in my side pocket with my rain pants. 15 days to go SOBO to Mt Whitney and I'm glad I have the jacket in my kit. I just hope there no more snow storms!

I really like this jacket and was excited to get it. Has a lot of nice features like pit/side zips that allow you to regulate temperature and allow for good mobility, along with generous pockets and an adjustable hood. However, after two years of seasonal use it delevloped a small hole in the fabric on the front and the inside seam along one of the side zips has started to delaminate. I dont expect things to last forever, but I was a little disappointed bc I dont do any bushwhacking to speak of and try to take care of my investment by following the manufacturer's care instructions. For the price point, I thought it would have been a little more durable.

Got this after an old OR jacket wore out. Jacket is excellent but ran larger than my previous M.

This is a great rainjacket. The poncho mode is very convenient when it's warm and rainy. It packs light and works wonders. I would highly recommend it!

I used this jacket for a Norwegian adventure trip and it held up. It is light and therefore packable. I like the look and the quality seems great so far. My crampons nicked it at one point but thankfully no tears

I had a Men's Foray II GORE-TEX Jacket since before Covid and wore it all the time. Ir was as lightweight as a windbreaker, but when I would get caught in the rain it kept me dry. In colder weather I would wear a hoodie under it and it kept me warm. I was disappointed when the pocket separated on the coat and it was with a bit of concern that I contacted the warranty department for Out Door research. I thought that they might be difficult to work with but I was really surprised with how quickly they gave me the information to get to them regarding the problem, pictures, and claim replacement process. Shortly after I sent the information and pictures of the problem they gave me the information on how to select the replacement jacket and I received it shortly after.

Hiking in one of the wettest places in Western Canada is a great experience especially now that I can stay dry. Fed up with getting soaked I purchased the Foray II and love it. Super lightweight for putting in the back pack for the brief sunny times its taped seams big hood and velcro cuffs keep out even the heaviest rain. Super stoked with this jacket.

Great light jacket that wicks water off effortlessly. Also a great shell in colder weather over some base layers. The poncho zippers all the way up the torso of the jacket is a nice feature for ventilation. The chest pocket and size pockets are a great size and located well to maintain comfort. Just the jacket I was looking for.

The full length side zippers are the best part of this jacket. Makes breathability insane and bending over while zipped comfy.

It's the perfect rain jacket for me. The fabric is light and gore-tex, so issue there. I love the side venting zippers, especially on the bike or when space is needed (ski). It's my go to when I'm travelling or for getaways out of town. The warranty is amazing too. Can't ask for more.

I brought this jacket to Ireland for a 2 week cycle tour of the Atlantic Coast. It dumped on me. I stayed dry. Big pit zips for ventilation. Big pockets for holding my stuff. Awesome jacket - HIGHLY recommend!

This is my go-to rain jacket for hiking and camping. The GORE-TEX material is fantastic at keeping the rain out. The seams are excellent, and the zippers are waterproof keeping you dry all the time. It also has great ventilation zippers under the arms and on the sides to keep you cool. I would 100% recommend this jacket.

Fits great, stands up to rain in the PNW. It's relatively quiet. It looks like it'll hold up to some abuse, but time will tell how durable the waterproofing is.

As a Gore-Tex jacket, you are getting all the benefits to a waterproof but breathable jacket. The key difference from other Gore-Tex jackets is its side vent zipper. It opens all the way down whereas others only open around the armpits. This makes it a must jacket for those that tend to heat up fast but still need a windbreaker to moderate temperature loss. Solid and popular jacket that should be a no-brainer for avid hikers that sweat a lot.

I rely on this jacket for rainy days because it keeps me dry. The Gore-Tex technology makes it particularly effective in wet weather. It's not only functional but also comfortable and stylish. Definitely worth the investment.

This jacket looks great, is light and will keep you dry. It is highly functional, I particularly love the vent zippers that go all the way down, making kind of a poncho when it warm or just to be able to access you phone in a layer under your jacket.

I bought the Foray ll Gore-Tex ll because of the side zippers. Perfect venting. Protected me from the wind and miserable rain crossing the Pyrenees. It kept me warm and dry. Kept my backpack dry too. So much better than a poncho!!

This is by far the best rain jacket

Hi, my profession is delivering all of your crap through UPS. This means that I have to often be out in the elements. Unfortunately, since our quite profitable company does not invest in their workers, I have resorted into searching for quality, durable rain gear, that I could use while working a very physical and demanding job. I had to be mindful of the possibility of tearing, the possibility of getting snagged on a package, door, jam, or anything that you can think of. I had to be mindful...

I just wore this through hurricane Fiona, in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. We didn't get insane rain(like in the past) but 110km/h sustained winds with gusts past that and storm surge ocean waves. Unlike my previous version of this, I stayed dry as a bone, never wetted out at all and kept me warm and the winds at bay. Slightly trim XL fit and hood adjustment was perfect for around a ball cap, never lifted. I'm 215, 6', flat stomach and I'll get a L for summer and spring with just a tee, thi...
