Super Comfy

I bought this bag and a Roamer double pad, and it is honestly as comfortable as my bed at home. Obviously I'll use it car camping, but it is comfy enough that I would also bring it on canoe trips; you just need to squish the bag down a little more for packing. The coldest I've used it at yet is about 40, and I was plenty warm-the sheet certainly helps with that. I think what I like most is that my dirty, outside-all-day body never has to touch my sleeping pad, meaning I only ever really need to have to wash the bag, which is nice.

A brilliant bag with features like a bed!

I bought a Jazz in February 2019, with a Cosmo + Pillowtop and a Fillo Luxury. The first night in this bag was in a hut on the Long Trail, and I slept better than I would've in a normal bed! The hut was somewhat heated, but the woodstove didn't have the capacity to burn through the night, so when I woke up, I poked my head out of the bag to find that the temperature inside was under 20° F. I was so comfy, I hardly moved for another 30 minutes. From that point, it served me at beaches on the great lakes, overnights through summer and fall in Michigan and Utah, and through temperatures between 20° and 80° F. It's been a phenomenal bag, and my only gripe is there isn't a duo in stock to replace it now! The fitted sheet is a great touch, and really sells it as a perfect replacement for one in difficult (or less difficult terrain.

I never loose sleep worrying about getting cold

Rectangle shape gives plenty of room to move around and stretchy top keeps the bag comfy snug to keep in heat easily regulated by the zippers on both sides of the bag. Comes with a nice snap in liner. The only little issue is that the liner doesn?t stay in place because it easily come unsnapped. Other than that it?s a great bag.

Perfect for sleeping however you want!

I have had this sleeping bag now for well over a year and taken it on dozens of trips. First of all, the fact that it still looks like new 14 months in is truly amazing! Not a tear or issue to be had. There are some things I would have maybe designed differently, but the quality and construction are solid as is the temperature rating. Things I would change: One the no-catch zippers... they catch. lol. but I can say I have yet to own a sleeping bag that pulls this off effecfively. So not a deal-breaker in my book. The second is the sheet, an awesome idea but the snaps that hold it in are SENSITIVE. The sheet unsnaps with just a glance. These need to hold better, but I have learned to deal with it by just managing how I get in and out and move around. Not Ideal, but workable. I mate this bag to a 3" pad also by Nemo and connecting the two works as expected. All in all I would buy this again, but thought the team at Nemo could use some feedback.

Jazz sleeping bag quality lacking

I bought a jazz sleeping bag about 1 1/2 Months ago and the bag has came unsewn. This not the the first sleeping bag from Nemo that has done this. My nocturne 15 degree bag ripped also. They are still usable and do understand that they have a lifetime warranty but the process and the time you are out of not having your sleeping bag is not worth it to me.

Ultra comfort

It took me months to decide on the right sleeping bag but I’m glad this was my ultimate choice. I spent the first two nights in this bag camping in a van in July. I paired it with Nemo Astro pad and very comfortable. I did not have any issues with the sheet coming unsnapped while moving around but I am a smaller size female and I also don’t move a lot when I sleep anyway. I would’ve bought this with or without the sheet since that wasn’t my draw to this bag. I was looking for synthetic with 30° temp rating and zips on both sides. I love the rectangle shape and this is large enough to keep my camp pillow in place. It does not come with the stuff sack so when I got invited to go on a three night backpacking trip I bought a 16L stuff sack and managed to get this packed down to something I could hike with. While it is larger than what you you would typically backpack with it is perfect for car camping. Still, after long days hiking it was well worth the comfort of this in my tent each night. I have never had Nemo brand products before but could not find any other synthetic bag in this shape with features I wanted. It seems to be well-made. Zippers are easy to maneuver and I like that I can have both sides undone in warmer weather. Used in high 30-40 degree temps in mountains and not too hot. I am confident as it gets colder the rating on the bag will prove to be correct 20/-7. This bag with the Astro pad is pure camping luxury.

Very comfortable in a wide range of climates.

My wife and I used these last summer for about 3 weeks of car camping. We went from Yellowstone to Zion thus had a wide range of weather. The bags came in duffle bags which make storage at home easy. However after a few weeks on the road I got tired of the space they were taking up. I ordered two 35 liter compression stuff sacks and the sleeping bags both fit easily and took up a lot less room in my SUV, they also come out of the bags quite easily and aren't squished. For comfort my wife gives these 5 stars, I give it 4 stars my drawback is the sheet material, it sticks to me and can bug me at night. I've since bought a cotton sleeping bag liner to use with it and it is much more comfortable. We've paired these with the Nemo Nomad Mattresses (no longer available and I can honestly say that the system is more comfortable than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. I'm heading back on the road for the summer again and will be picking up the regular one for my son (i use the long luxury for my wife and I). We'll be trying it with the Astro sleeping pad and see how that works, my 5 year old daughter will continue to use and love her punk sleeping (seems like a kids version of this). If I had to I'd buy this bag again and pair it with the new Roamer mattress. The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is due to the sheet on the inside, and the fact that it doesn't come with a compression/stuff sack for travel.

Warm and cozy

My wife and I use it with the Cosmo double pad and we're very comfortable. We use a soft cotton sheet of our own rather than the snap-in one. When it's really cold we'll layer with a down or wool blanket on top, but that's not often. It's just right for us.

Double Luxury Pregnant Wife Approved

Gone are my days of lightweight and compact camping gear. With 2 labs, a 2 yr old, and pregnant wife, I knew the only way I could get her to come camping is if I bought the most comfortable setup I could. The luxury duo was our perfect introduction into the giant sleeping bag idea. We loaded our raft up for an overnight on the Yellowstone River. It got a little chilly that night but my wife said she was perfect all night. I always run hot so it was easy for me to shed the blanket or just pull my side of the bag down. In the morning our toddler crawled in to snuggle with us which is just awesome and couldn’t have happened zipping our old backpacking bags together. Then the dogs joined in. It fit great on our new megamat duo, not perfect but the bag is so big we never had any issues. We both toss and turn throughout the night so used to wake each other up all the time but not that night. The bag is quiet and roomy so we both slept through the night. The rest of the setup included the luxury fillo pillow, Wagontop 8p, and 2 victory blankets covering the floor. My wife was so happy with everything and said it was her most comfortable tent camping trip ever. Our gear search will always begin with Nemo after this experience!

Pretty good, but...

I have the single long. Plenty of length; I'm 5'10", but I like to sleep on my stomach with may arms under my pillow, so I tend to stretch out. Lots of venting options, and zips from both sides, which adds options for layout. Love the big pillow pocket. But, as others have noted, the dang sheet will not stay snapped in at all. There's only a few snaps, so the first time you roll over, the sheet comes with it. Can't believe someone at Nemo signed off on that. Buy this knowing that the sheet is totally useless. My second improvement would be the quilt flap. I love the idea, but the problem is that it tends to land along side your face, and since the surface is nylon, you get to listen to your face or ear brush against that nylon all night. But, the large size is worth it. I hate mummy bags, and there aren't many good rectangular bag options out there. I jam it into a 20 liter stuff sack, and it fits my Exped Megamat for car camping. Yeah, I put a premium on good rest!

Another great option from Nemo, 1 drawback

I have been using this as the primary bedding system in my pop up camper. I love it, the thoughtful and well made features we all love and expect from Nemo. Warm, fits two, has pockets for phones, headlamps, etc. Double zippers both sides for venting, The only thing, the sheet. i like it,however it comes unbuttoned so easy. Another type of fastener would be good. second zipper, maybe the T fasteners they use on some of the pads.

Luxury in the outdoors

This thing is super comfy. Feels really warm when you get inside (have used down to 40s, and we have even started to bring it along during the summer (to just sleep on top of). But there are a lot of products in this space that can compete on comfort. The integrated sheet does come undone super easily, which is probably the biggest con so far. It's nice that it's removable/washable, but it's just way too easy to undo. One slight body turn can undo an entire side. The bag that it comes with is huge, which is great for storing at home. I wish there was a smaller stuff bag that came with it for packing down smaller. All in all, it's super comfy and feels great to have out at camp (we have this paired with the Cosmo Insulated Double and 2 Fillo Luxury). I wish the integrated sheet stayed on a bit more secure, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Great double sleeping bag with minor problems.

We ordered the Nemo Jazz synthetic double luxury sleeping bag after thoroughly researching double sleeping bag specs and reviews. The product is well engineered and fit our specifications for size, comfort, weight, and the ability to add integral pads. Upon initial inspection and trial set up we discovered a problem. On the bottom side of the bag there is a gusset to hold the pads in place that is tensioned by drawstrings. On one corner, a drawstring was stitched through the hem which prevented it from drawing up enough to create the corner which holds the pad in place. In addition the end of that drawstring was not secured and pulled out completely. Fixable if you know how to sew and have a machine, otherwise a return will be necessary.

Big Roomy Bag That is Very Comfortable and Warm

I really wanted to love this bag and I do for the most part. We purchased the Luxury Duo version and It is big and roomy. It fits over my 52" Exped Megamat Duo pad with room to spare. My wife and I could snuggle up close when we wanted to and had plenty of room when we just wanted to sack out in our own space. It's easy to fit over the mat onto a large pad or mattress. There is no struggling to slide the pad into a pocket. You just lay the bag over the mat, place the elastic corners over the edges of the mat and pull the draw strings to cinch and tighten. Then buckle and and tighten the belt across the middle. Very easy setup and the bag did stay securely attached to the pad. It feels good and was very comfortable. The only thing holding me back from a full 5 star rating is with the integrated sheet. From what I understand in previous iterations of the bag (like the Symphony) the sheet zipped on the sides but was not removable. The comforter snapped on the sides. With the Jazz the integrated sheet now snaps in and out along the sides and bottom so that it can be removed for easy cleaning, which does makes complete sense. You can wash the sheet without having to wash the entire bag. The comforter now zips like a regular sleeping bag. The issue is that the snaps on the sheet come undone far too easily anytime one person turns to one side or the other. My wife and I just camped for 4 nights over Memorial Weekend with the Jazz Luxury Duo. Every night we started with the sheet snapped in and covering us but by morning it was just wadded up on one side or the other of the bag becoming useless. It seems to me that a better option would be to keep the zippers on the sides and and perhaps snaps along the bottom so that you could still unzip and remove the sheet for easy cleaning then zip it back in. I think zippers would hold it in place far more securely. I did like the bag enough that I also purchased the single person luxury version to use with my 30" Megamat pad.

So comfortable!

I have the 20 degree Jazz in regular length. I'm 5'11", 220 and don't sleep well in mummy bags. This bag is wide and allows me to roll and sleep on my side in great comfort. The integrated pad sleeve also means I no longer slide off my sleeping pad. I have a 25X72 insulated air pad that fits the sleeve perfectly. I haven't tested the limits of the temp rating yet but having dual side zippers that can unzip from the bottom too gives you a lot of venting options in temperate weather . I've used every type of sleeping bag over the last 45 or so years from military issue to ultralight down and this is the nicest bag I've ever owned. Doesn't compress as small as an ultralight down bag obviously but it's workable. No gripes. Thanks Nemo!
