Nemo has a reputation for quality, and this bag does not disappoint! This duffle is awesome. Carrying it as a tote is surprisingly comfortable, even when fully stuffed to the brim. The stitching is solid, and the zippers are sturdy and glide smoothly, a detail that really enhances usability. When using it as a duffle, the straps distribute weight evenly, so they do not dig in and make the bag uncomfortable to wear, which is great for longer treks. There are several pockets, which is great for keeping your items separated including a zippered one which is great for keeping valuables safe. Overall great purchase.

It is durable and versatile. However, I don't know when I will use the tote functionality, it is relatively heavy and I would prefer detachable backpack shoulder straps.

This has been such a perfect, non-niche bag for the whole family. Date night lawn concerts? Check. Beach? Check. Solo parenting birthday dinner out with three kids? Check, check, check (please!). The only place and function left to test is the flying combo with a carry on roller, but aside from being able to carry my laptop I'm sure it'll do fine there too. Bonus? I don't see it listed in features, but there are these little tabs inside the bag above the compression straps that I've gotten the carry bag to attach to. It's not the perfect location, but if you're using it as a weekender and want a spot to put the small things it would do great, sitting flat on top of your strapped in clothes or packing cubes.

Perfect for short trips and small enough to be considered a 'personal' item on airplanes. Love the various carry options (backpack, tote, duffel) and appreciate the internal/external pockets to organize gear. Looking forward to many excursions with my new bags; also purchased a 55L!

Really loving this bag more every day I use it! For a 30L, it's sooo spacious in tote mode. Great for bringing all the days items to and from the car, and the versatility makes this a winner all day. Easy to configure for the intended use. Nemo really nailed it on this one!

Threw it on my back for a dayhike through Zion. Breezed through TSA with it as my carry-on to travel overseas. Opened it up and toted around my tennis gear when I got back home. Does. It. All!

Got this to take on a trip to Taiwan and it was exactly what I was looking for. So easy to find things in it when you need and I can't believe how much I fit into it! I wanted something that could convert easily and this did the trick. Was great for day use running around town shopping and was perfect as a carry on. About to head out on our next trip and it was the first bag that was pulled out. Now thinking I might need to get a few more sizes for everyone in the family.

Buying this duffle felt a little extravagant because I had other bags of similar volume, but this one beats them all for stuff-a-few-thing-in-it-and-go convenience. I use it unsnapped with an open-top that invites use for everything from an alternative to carrying a few things in my arms and dumping them in the back seat of the car to an stylish overnight bag. I use it way more than expected. It is also very well made with a strong materials and versatility.

I'm a big traveler and I like to pack light so I can move through airports quickly, comply with different countries and types airlines/airplanes and this is the perfect solution. I can bring it in any weather and it stands up to adventure well. It's my go to pack for quick travel.

A slightly different approach to these vs a normal duffel - works great for hauling gear around in the truck for everyday adventures too! While not ultra light minimalist design - they have unique designs for different uses and configurations!

Super happy with the 30L size. The shop i work at has the 55 and 70 which i thought to be a bit large for my use case. I've been using this duffle as the perfect overnight bag as well as a gear bag for my bike stuff when i take my riding outside of where i live. Packed with features and have been using the storage bag as a packing cube inside the bag for my riding clothes.

Purchased the 30L to use for short travel trips flying. It is carry-on approved and has plenty of room to pack a lot of stuff! The materials are very nice, and feel rugged enough to withstand being tossed around airplanes and the convayer belts in baggage claim. Love the different options for carrying this duffle/tote/backpack. The addition of stiff sides allowing it to stand open is a great design element. My only wish is for the backpack straps to be fully removeable.

My friends say I have a bag fetish because I am continually buying bags in search of the best duffle. Mountain Hardwear, North Face, Patagonia, ... I think I've owned them all. This is by far the coolest bag I own. It can compress down to standard duffle size and when needed the capacity can transform into a huge gear hauler. The materials are excellent as is the build quality. Plenty of carry options with clever handle and strap management. I hate my duffle bags where you have to continually battle shoulder straps to open the bag. Not an issue here. This is my go to bag for paragliding and biking gear. So flexible, so well designed.

I was a little skeptical at 1st when it came to the different "modes" but boy was I wrong. I thought the tote mode would be just gimmicky but its the mode that Ive used the most so far! I got the 30L and it is HUGE. It's easy to just throw anything inside the bag when you have it in tote mode and just go. Its nice when you're not so worried about having it organized and just hauling stuff and leaving it in the car such as putting my ski gear inside. But when I took it on a flight, it packs as nicely when I started using packing cubes and carried it like a bag pack. I had 4 days worth of clothes and it still has an insane amount of space left (not sure if I'm just a minimalist). Either way, I'm gonna abuse this duffel. It's a go to now for any "hauls". It's gonna compliment a smaller carryon bagpack.

This bag is super versatile and durable. I use it as my diaper bag/purse/gym bag/carryall. It fits my skates, my daughters skates and all our winter gear. Can stay outside in the snow because it's waterproof which is perfect. Comfortable straps on your shoulder no matter which way you wear it and weight in bag. We recently brought it to the beach. It's refreshing not having sand stick to it while bring it inside. I can't rave enough about how great this bag is!

I just picked the 30L duffel up for upcoming international travel and a Grand Canyon rafting trip. After reading and watching so many reviews on adventure/travel duffels, these new Double Hauls have all the right standard features and then elevate above the competition with the 3 distinct modes. Having it in hand, these things are built like a tank, but are sleek enough for regular travel (if you don't mind an outdoorsy vibe). I was a little worried that the 30L would be too small and didn't want to jump all the way to a 55L. I despise checking luggage. Turns out you can fill this almost to the brim, then cinch down the interior luggage straps over your gear and compress the whole thing with the exterior side buckles. Amazing. The stiffeners really do work to keep the bag open/structured. The backpack straps are comfortable and stay out of the way when in tote mode. The tote carry handles are a good size and snap together well. Pockets are minimal, but a good size. And the storage bag/packing cube is a brilliant touch when attached inside the bag for more organization. The only thing I would improve so far are the tote carry handles. They're uncomfortable on my shoulder. A traditional padded handle wrap would be an easy fix. And/or adding in a wide shoulder strap to attach to the duffel cinch buckles.
