Love this backpack! I've been using the Base Camp Voyager Daypack for college and as a carry-on for travel for over two years now. TNF added this soapstone color so I had to get a second one-the color is perfect!

I love so much about this backpack. The pockets are thoughtful-- I love the zippered one inside of the main pocket. The front bottom pocket has a soft lining, and the front top pocket has nice organization. If I overfill the top, it can get top-heavy, but that is my only complaint. This bag has gotten me stopped in airports for people to ask if it is waterproof, and I would say it is a nice water resistant material that wipes clean. It is thick and durable. I would repurchase again and again.

Overall this bag is great! There are so many useful compartments and alone is perfect for a weekend trip, especially if you're going straight from the office. Toiletry bag + clothes fit nicely in the main compartment and my laptop, kindle, and notebook each have their own separate spaces. The only reason this is a 4 star review rather than 5 star is because there is no luggage pass through slot on the back of the bag. I have a feeling the chest clip will do the job when needed but it's such an easy thing to implement that all backpacks - especially travel ones should have, in my opinion.

Was satisfied with my backpack until today when it rained a bit and all the stuff inside immediately got wet, very disappointing considering the cost of the bag and what was promised by The North Face. The way the compartments are divided alongside the tightness of the water bottle holders is also kind of strange so it's hard to fit large items into the bag. Otherwise, I have gotten lots of compliments and it's comfortable to wear.

This is the best backpack I've ever owned! Initially my husband bought me the larger version of this backpack for travel. I love that backpack, but thought a smaller version would be great for my daily work commute. I love the many separate compartments to include the laptop compartment. Not only that, the backside that rests against your back is padded, but also firm, allowing the backpack to hold it's shape. Once I got this backpack, my husband got jealous and bought himself one! Would buy again, would recommend!

I've been using this product for two weeks and I haven't had any complaints. The quantity of different size pockets allows one to carry multiple things: two pair of sneakers, a Tupper, two water bottles and you still have room for more things. Water and snowprof.

Good: How it looks. Waterproof fabric on face of the bag. Thick/comfortable back panel and deep air-channel. Many attachment points. Well-protected laptop compartment. When not used, the water bottle packets seat flushed, but this is also bad (see below). Bad: Shallow depth makes the bag look good/streamlined, but that also means it's hard to pack anything other than thin items. I think it should be 28L instead of 26L. Could use more organization pockets for smaller items. To wit, the front bottom half compartment is essentially a 'dump' pocket. More I use this compartment, more I wish it was divided into smaller pockets inside. Flushed water bottle pockets means it's hard to fit 32 oz water bottle. Ugly: No zipper flaps (especially on the laptop compartment), which makes this backpack not waterproof despite having waterproof fabric. Having waterproof fabric and not make the zippers waterproof is like building a waterproof house and neglecting to waterproof the doors/windows. No dedicated tablet pouch/slot inside the main compartment. More and more people carry tablets these days; no excuse for not having this small feature on this modern EDC backpack. No luggage passthrough/strap. Not including a simple luggage strap on this travel-friendly backpack makes no sense. I'm being very critical here but I actually like this backpack and even recommend it despite its many faults. I just wish TNF would fix the issues I mentioned.

Got this TNF daypack for NYC commutes. It is low profile enough to be inoffensive on NYC subways, but packs a lot efficiently. The padded compartment is great for my work laptop, and inner compartment larger enough for books and lunch. Great bag, and on sale a really good price point
