This, The North face Venture jacket, is Awesome !! I wore it in a rainstorm, and didn't get wet, and I also purchase, The North Face waterproof pants to be completely dry. Great choice as an outer shell

I had this jacket for about a month now and have used it daily as the outer shell of my rucking (hiking) clothing kit - wicking layer, warmth layer, outer shell. Living in Michigan, I've already had the opportunity to use it through most weather conditions - from cold and snowy, to warm-ish and windy. I've been very happy with it and would recommend it as use as an outer shell, but not an only layer because it's not very breathable. For me, that's not a big deal. When I'm done wearing, I turn it inside-out to let the interior dry out on the back of a chair. Just know, if you're doing physical activity, and this is the only layer against your skin, the sweat it's not going to wick away or evaporate. PRO's: Great wind and rain protection. Lightweight. Easily packable. Roomy side pockets. Good fit. CON's: Breathability (holds perspiration inside). Pricey.

Great jacket, super light and water repellent. Not for super cold temperatures, so search elsewhere for a warm jacket. But if you want to repel the wind and rain this will do it!

Light but very effective.

Bought this as a light coat for sunny, cold, groomer days. It was perfect. Very light but completely cuts all wind. Initially thought it might be way too light and almost returned it without even trying. Glad I did not return it. It is the prefect addition to my ski attire. Very pleased.

Used mainly everyday for cardio in 3 seasons or any day it is raining period. Keep it in on me most of the time. I have purchased this jacket 3 times, 1st time in 2003, in 2010 and 2 days ago. GREAT RAIN SHELL!

I got my first Venture over 10 years ago. I believe it was about $75 so it has not even gone up much in price since then but the tech is better.
