A nice all-rounder backpack.
A quality build with an eye for comfort and appearance. It is not an ultra-light (trash bag) pack by any means, but it is in the 50-55L range and is ideal for short 3-season weekend trips with low bulk gear.

Got me with the nostalgic color
I own a lot of packs. This one is right up there in design as a three season bag. i didn't need a new pack, but TNF nailed the colors to go with their small duffel and base camp day pack. The only changes I want are a top lid to match the Smokey Brown color of the day pack AND two wide loops sewn into the bottom of the top lid to use it for an impromptu lumbar pack. I can understand not wanting to add weight with the extra hip belt, so the loops would serve about the same purpose by utilizing a pants belt. I am a biologist who travels broadly, so the colors remind me of vintage travel gear. It all just fits!

Absolutely, recommend for anyone taking a hike!
This my 1st trail backpack & its nothing short of perfect. It's incredibly comfortable-even on long hikes-and fits like it was made just for me. The design balances functionality, comfort, and durability flawlessly. Every pocket and strap has a purpose, and it's held up through tough weather and rough trails without a problem. Absolutely, recommend for anyone who spends serious time outdoors!

I am currently using this backpack right now to travel across Europe. It's been so comfortable and the perfect bag to use. With functionality, comfort, and durability. I would give it six out of five stars.

Compact, lightweight, with capacity

I bought mine in 1993. It's traveled on camel,train etc 30yr
30 years ago I bought mine and it's been around the world 5-6 times on trains,planes,motorcycles,camels,boats,horses etc?
Buying a new one now as I'm old and it's old and heavy . The new ones are half the weight.

You might want mine for display as I was in Damascus VA this year and vendors were shocked to see it and the hundreds of plane, bus etc wrappers on it.

We bought this backpack so that way my wife could match with my 65 backpack and we're really excited to put it to use. She always liked using my backpack, but complained of how big it was. We're happy to have the same backpack and a smaller version that best suits her needs. Northface always has exceptional quality backpacks.

Really Nice Pack!
I really like this pack. The colors are amazing! Materials seems durable. Very adjustable fit. Super light weight unpacked. Clean simple design, everything you need and nothing you don't. Would be good for a warm weather weekend backpacking trip due to the size. Had to learn to really condense everything I had to fit all my stuff in this pack and it was still a really tight squeeze getting it all in. Had to use my warm weather sleeping bag that was really condensed with a compression stuff sac. A mummy bag would not fit in the sleeping bag compartment unless you were a magician. If you are the type of backpacker that takes everything under the sun this pack is not for you... you won't fit everything in the bag. If you are a minimalist that just takes the basics.... this is your pack. My only wish was that it was just slightly larger around the middle and in the sleeping bag compartment so I didn't have to work so hard trying to just get all the basics into this pack. Just a little bit on the small side... even with the L/XL.

Nice bag, but not exactly what I needed
I bought this bag initially for a 5 day hiking/camping trip in the backcountry at the Grand Canyon but soon regretted it. In terms of aesthetics, it gets a solid 10/10---and that was probably what I focused on too much rather than functionality. Calling it the "Trail-Lite" cannot be overstated! Fitting a regular-sized sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and 1-person tent, Jet Boil, plus all other essential items was frustrating to say the least! There was absolutely no room for several days worth of food. Stitching was solid; durable bag; very comfortable; no functionality issues.

Really into this bag, seems sturdy for branding itself as a lite product. Carries a LOT, love the pouch on the front too, wish the straps on the bottom were a little sturdier for carrying a foam pad and tent but it is wut it is *shrug*
