Use it as my carry on bag and for hiking. Quality bag that's up to the challenge and a lot of gear.

Great 40L pack. Recently used it on a multi-day 25 mile backpacking/packrafting objective carrying ~50 lbs worth of gear and it did the trick. Plenty of attachment points for gear on the outside. Backpacking with this much weight is never comfortable but this backpack has plenty of padding on the shoulder straps to make the trip relatively pain free. Distributes weight well. I will say that someone with a smaller waist than me would max out the hip straps as I had them cinched down as far as they would go. (I'm a size 6 ladies pant). Other than that, torso length was great (I'm 5'5", 150 lbs) and it fit just right through the cargo zip of my packraft (alpacka wolverine). The only thing that came apart right away were the green bungee pole attachment thingys; the end caps came off the first time I used them, to secure my paddle shaft. No biggie, just tied them in a knot but be warned, they are not strong and you will likely loose the end cap piece. Other than that, the pack was perfect and I would definitely recommend to a friend! I also adore the tan/turquoise color scheme!

I got this backpack for our trip to Ireland and Iceland ? two week vacation also to attend a friends wedding in Ireland! I didn't know if I could make this work for two weeks and multiple countries and boy am I impressed! Wow! All the compartments, clips, and sinches! Didn't even have to check my bag! Am in love! Thanks North Face for creating practical, cool, stylish, and functional gear!

I brought this pack for 9 weeks of backpacking EU and Geology field camp. I brought back a bunch of rocks and the pack stood up to the weight and constant wear. 5 years later still going great

Very nice back back. Some of the ties on the zippers pull off easily but I gues that doesn't impact the function. No problems with anything else and is pretty light weight

Bought as an offset to my huge 75 liter pack which is canvas and too heavy for 2-3 night backpacking trips. Definitely a solid backpack, construction feels good. Lots of adjustment straps which are nice especially dealing with variable loads. I've used it a number of times on 2-3 night trips and its been more than enough space (something I was worried about). Only negative points are the sleeping bag compartment is very small (cant really fit a winter bag) and the buckles are plastic (but again its a good price). Best feature is that the main body unzips for easy access. Like it and plan to use it for a long time.

This pack was a solid pack but the trip I had bought it for, ended up falling through so I wasn't able to use it for it's intended purpose and had to return it.

This bag took me on a 2day 1 night hike up a volcano. And it was great very comfortable. Even though I am the right size for the bag I wish the waist band would be able to tighten more because I have a smaller waist.
