Ronda W : I have a Samsonite openroad weekender back pack. This backpack is more square and measures outside 20 L x 13-16 W x 10-12 deep. Will any of these work for me? Xsmall or Small?DIANA K : Here are the volume dimensions of each size: XS: 0–20 L / S: 20–30 L / M: 35–45 L / L: 50–70 L / XL: 75–85 L. If I looked up the right bag then your bag is somewhere around 35L which would mean you would probably need to get a Medium rain cover that is fit for a bag that is 35-45L. However, since it is a different shape and brand, unfortunately I cannot tell you for sure, and there is a chance that it may not fit or be a bit too big.
Shopper : Does this have straps to secure it on your pack in the wind? Or just elastic cinch cord?THOMAS K : I only has an elastic cord, but it's pretty strong and it works well enough in normal windy conditions. I never had any problems with it. If you are worried about it blowing away, you could always tie the end of the cord to a loop on your backpack, or just put a separate strap around the whole pack.SANNAH K : Elastic cordElaine S : Just the elastic cord, no strapsMorgan Q : Just the elastic cinch cord. The original that came with technical packs had holes for the belt straps to go through, but the 2 I bought online did not have that option and only had the cinch cord.Karen K : Elastic cinch only. Just works

This rain cover, size M kept my 35L Deuter backpack and all its contents dry through a tropical downpour in the Indonesian jungle. It has a well-fitting shape without excess fabric on the sides to catch wind. It is a pleasant red, and it is a very economical option.

Does the job

Great rain cover. Bought it for my North Face Aleia 32L pack. Perfect fit. Rained hard on me during a hike one day and this cover gets the job done. Highly recommended.

Good cover! No storage though

The cover is great! My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a storage bag or sack to keep it in when it's not in use but nonetheless a great cover

Fits my son’s 65-liter pack perfectly!

If you're planning on hiking or backpacking this season, rain or shine, you need The North Face Pack Rain Cover to keep all of your gear dry when the pop-up storms hit. This lightweight, waterproof cover has an adjustable elastic closure that fits snugly around your pack and keeps everything plenty dry. The seams are fully taped, and there's a drain hole to let the water flow out. You can easily pack the Pack Rain Cover away when not in use, and depending on the size, it will only add between 2 ounces and 4 ounces to your pack weight.
