Nice coat overall. Hood is a bit small and I find myself using the neck gaiter just keep the hood on securely. Neck gaiter quickly becomes stretched out if you use it frequently though. Warmth is superb and it's not unbearably heavy. Can wear it comfortably in low 40s and under. Furr on hood is sort of annoying and brushes against your face often while you're wearing the hood. Doesn't add much in terms of style though and the coat generally isn't really meant for style (doesn't fit all that closely and looks like a big sack at times) even though it doesn't look altogether terrible with a suit.

Replaced an old North Face down coat that was dying of old age. This McMurdo is warmer and fits me very well. I am 5'11', 185 lbs and large is wonderful. Velcro straps around sleeves so cold air will be kept out. Draw string around waist to keep cold and snow out.

Soooo happy with this purchase. Great looking, warm parka. Perfect fit. Appealing fabric. Very warm without being excessively heavy in weight which is what I've disliked about other parkas.

I had been shopping around over 15 places for this Parka. Nobody else could match the price I got from Sunnysports.com. I ordered a medium but have broad shoulders and it was tight in the chest. I was concerned a large would have sleeves that were too long. I emailed Sunnysports and they instantly replied with a difference of only 3/4 inch. I submitted an exchange and they sent me the return shipping label. Due to demand, the large black was sold out. I did not need it for a gift so I told them I would wait until they got stock in. Within the first week of the new year they had sent the large and it fits perfectly. It's VERY warm and is a great deal for the price. Both this parka and the customer service and pricing I got from Sunnysports was outstanding and would recommend Sunnysports to anybody looking for a warm parka and great customer service.

Happened upon this jacket while looking at North Face jackets, and couldn't beat the price this site offered. The jacket arrived promptly and was well-packed. Great quality and feels extremely warm, even on the coldest of Chicago winter days.
