Stewed over buying this big a bag for a recent ski trip to Japan. I have many other large base camp duffles but none with wheels. I was traveling with the fast pack and time is of the essence. No waiting around to should a heavy duffle. I don't buy stuff that I wont use more than once, so it was a big decision for me. Look at other wheels options of similar size and decided on the TNF Rolling Thunder. I was not disappointed. It fit my ski boots, helmet, snow boots, crocks and a bunch of other crap I normally would not take on a mission. Organization was exceptional, and most of all the zippers worked flawlessly under load. I am a stickler for zippers and the size and the large pulls made it easy to round corners with the zippers under tension. Love the load handles and compression straps and could throw it around like a baby Yoda when needed.

Fits so much more than a normal hard luggage, but protects your stuff just as well. As a strength athlete this bag is perfect to fit everything I need for competitions.

We use this luggage for various types of travel: airplane/hotel, train/hotel, trailer/camping, airplane/boat. Mountain, ocean, desert, lake. The versatility to handle our gear is unmatched. It's sturdy and collapses for easy storage. More expensive than other size bags on the market but well worth the money on quality, sturdiness, and versatility.

Purchased for use as ski boot and gear bag. 8 flights under our belts and really pleased with it. Sturdy and effective handle, great compression straps. I looked at about a dozen bags before purchase and am very happy with my choice.

So we bought the larger Thunder and it was absolutely massive. So happy we bought these for our japan trip, heavy duty and rolls smoothly. Really like the volume and straps to synch down top and sides but favorite feature are the handle placements.

I bought my original Rolling Thunder 20 years ago and it's served me well; traveling around the world a couple of times, and it's still going! I used this rolling suitcase on my trip to Europe. It's very nice but not for me. The best feature is it has the best quality pull handle I've ever experienced in a suitcase/duffle. I only wish it had spinner legs. I am 60 years old and the pulling got to be too much for me, especially in Prague where there were lots of stairs from the train station to the hotel to lug it up and down. Thank goodness I had my grandson to help me. And I am not a too out of shape person, I actually exercise. Bummed it didn't work for me.

I used this duffel as checked luggage on a recent trip and was very happy. The layout is thoughtful for packing clothing that I wanted to keep separate from other gear, and I found it easy to pack a 10-day trip into the 95L.

Looked at Patagonia, Myster Ranch, Topo, Cotapaxi, Eagle Creek, etc. dollar for dollar, I felt like I was getting a more premium product. This far, two trips logged, it's been a perfect long weekend companion. Able to pack for a family of 4 for short stays with everyone bringing their own personal bag as well.

The old design with the hard plastic base was perfect (I have 2 of them). I'm not a fan of clamshell bags so I'm sure it's well made but I wish they'd kept the design the same. Such a shame.

Had the old 30" hard bottom style forever. Upgraded to the new one. Love it. Would change one thing and I'm actually surprised the designers did not catch this flaw. The large exterior zipper pocket on top of the clam shell easily gets a failed zipper clasp when zipping which can be solved by having the cinch straps on top of the zipper instead of below the zipper. When you go to cinch the two straps down they pull on the zipper itself. Rather than pulling on top and put no pressure on the zipper, it pulls from under the zipper and strains the zipper itself. Design flaw that could have been easily fixed.
