I wear this walking the dog and out shopping, etc. it is warm so for temps under 32 degrees. The fit is absolutely perfect for me and I can fit a thick top under it. The hood blocks wind without blocking view. I tried several parkas this one fit me the best. Bought the navy and might buy it in black. I like the long sleeves, keeps hands and arms warmer. I do wish the North Face label would only be in the front not on the back shoulder. Otherwise it's perfect.

This is a versatile coat. It is nice to be able to wear it to dressier events as well as to the local hockey game!

I have been a loyal NF customer for decades. I wore a long down puffer coat replaced by the Metropolis for 20 years, buying a smaller size after weight loss. It had sturdy snaps and a zipper. Why did you replace the snaps with cheap Velcro, at this price point? The Velcro secures even when you don't need it to, preventing easy access to the zipper. It snags sweaters and wool gloves, destroying them. Your coats are less durable and worthless. I bought the similar parka from Columbia, who uses snaps, for $100 less.

This is a nice coat and keeps me dry in the heaviest rain but - it's not the warmest coat that I've had. It's warm but the Columbia coats are much warmer than this even with the same fill. Plus the outside pockets are just too low and there's an inside chest pocket but I'd prefer outside chest pocket too. I've had this coat for 3-4 years. It's great but can use some improvement

Beautiful and really warm parka. I wore it in 3F weather and windy days and I felt warm. I bought size large and I still can use a sweater if I need to go to the coldest state. It is true to the size.

I love this jacket. I have owned it for a couple years in a different color. But I like the most is the long sleeves, I am 6 foot tall in the arms are actually long enough. When I saw this in tawny quartz, I immediately ordered it because I have been dying to have a brown jacket. When it arrived, it definitely has a purpleish tint to it. The interior definitely looks purple. I am on the fence if I will keep it as I was wanting brown and it looks purple.

I bought a similar item from North Face about ten years ago and it lasted forever. This coat is even better - warmer, sleeker and looks great. I would recommend this coat - and actually everything I've ever purchased from North Face. Great protection during Chicago winters!

It's very warm, I love how much coverage it has. I also like that the zipper gives a little space at the bottom so there is flexibility.

I'm a repeat customer of the Arctic Parka. The first one lasted 15 years until I gained weight and needed a size up. The second one unfortunately had a storm flap with Velcro closures (worst design ever), which ruined many sweaters, scarves, and gloves. The rest of the coat was still amazing, but I had to give it up because of the Velcro. I've tried Eddie Bauer and Canada Goose and none fit quite like TNF. Now I'm on my 3rd Arctic Parka and feel like it's looser than years past and less bulky (but still warm) - both things I appreciate! It's still a winner, and I hope this lasts me another 15 years. I'm 5'3, 135 lbs, 40" hips and a size small is snug but not tight even with a sweatshirt. The sleeves are a tad long, but I fold & tuck them inside the cuff, and they stay put.

I bought this coat to commute by bike to work in winter. At first I thought it might be too bulky but when I used it , it worked great! It kept me warm and dry and did not affect my riding. It looks good and I'm confident I'll be warm!

I needed a replacement coat for those cold rainy season in the PNW and NY. It keeps me dry and warm. The sleeves are long as other reviewers mentioned. The sleeves covers up to my fingers but that's okay, it keeps them warm especially in the pockets that lack fleece all around. The hand pocket is sewn with 1/2 fleece on the top and poly/nylon at the bottom. This does not keep bare hands warm but easily slip those long sleeve in them and keeps the hand warm. I do like the additional helpful thumb hole sewn to the sleeves, it is soft and cozy. When I don't feel like wearing gloves, I just keep those thumb holes on when I handle the steering wheel of my car or walking about. I can easily pull the sleeves and thumb hole up and out of the way.
