My hip belt pouch is complete with two of these, a water bottle holder, and a bear spray holster. With this setup, I have more room on my hip belt than I could possibly need. Easily enough for some snacks, some hot hands, a headlamp, a pair of glove liners, and room for more. I haven't tried putting my phone in them yet as I like to have that more at the ready. I may try and get the tech holster to attach to the shoulder strap, or I may get the FHF chest rig. Either way, this forager pocket is a must for your hunting pack, in my opinion.

Bought 2 of these Large Forager pockets for my Sawtooth 45. I wish they came in Subalpine like the pack but forest green doesn?t look too bad. Haven?t used much yet but they seem like they?ll hold up well. Initial concerns are how weak the snaps seem and the size of the pocket. I?m not sure how one could fit much in the size small, a medium size iPhone just fits. Definitely get the Large as shown in the photos, and once on the pack I think the snaps will hold up okay. Pocket quality seems really good overall.

This product is as described. The only down fall is that the string that is used on the zipper will catch on brush and open the pouch allowing items ti fall out. So be careful and don't keep important item in the left side.

I am a huge fan of all mystery ranch products. The forager pocket is a necessity on packs. Great quality as is everything that mystery ranch makes.

I would love to write a better review as I love the overload feature on my Metcalf. However, the pack has minimal storage and none on the waistbelt (which for archery is almost necessary). So I bought the forager pouch. The large size works well for what I need, but the snaps like to come undone. Especially when don/doffing the pack. I would prefer a pouch be built into the belt and/or the pouch be better secured.

I bought two, one for each side and it holds everything I need it to. Elk calls, cell phone, head lamp, etc. My only complaint is the snap buttons. I hunt the Oregon Coast and saying it's brushy would be an understatement, but I have had the snaps come undone from getting snagged on the brush. Havnt lost one yet, just wish they were a little stronger.

I buy a pair of these to go on every pack! Definitely wouldn?t go without, they are a great stash pocket for quick access or can?t lose gear. Usually keys in the off hand one and a magazine or release in the other one so they are easily grabbed.

I bought the Forager Pocket to organize the items I normally carry in the top pockets of my pack. This meets the requirement. Quality is good. This item is only a single compartment piece, so if you're looking for multiple compartments, ask Mystery Ranch to build a multi-compartment organizers.

I bought 2 of the forager pockets for my Metcalf pack and have used the pack a few times with them and they work well. They are secure, zip & unzip easy, and fit well. My phone easily fits in them as does my range finder. I?m very happy with them. Wish they were available in the Camo to match my pack but the green color is fine.

This is going to make the things that you need to get quick, a lot more convenient. Mounts perfect on the belt.

I bought the smaller size - and it really helped to keep cords arranged inside the Carryology Assault, No Escape, and Spartan. I used it more as an admin pocket than a hip pocket, which may defy the intention of the design, but it held the following for me. Cigarrette lighter to 2 USB port converter Iphone charger cable Micro USB charger cable (for my headlamp) GoalZero Battery. Even when it's not attached to MOLLE webbing it's a useful little pouch to throw into different packs. You can't see inside of it, but it's so small and you, you're so organized that this probably doesn't matter to you. The cordura is relatively waterproof, but hey - nikwax is your friend here. Why don't you be a good soul and order one - so that you can stuff a small roll of trashbags in it and clean up all the trash you see the next time you go hiking. These go great on Daisy Chains, by the way - not just MOLLE grids/panels. Yes, you can totally put your phone in it. So that you can call the office from the trail to signal to the hikers next to you just how essential you are to the global economy. But it totally holds cliff bars and edibles, too... bruh.

Have not tried them out in the field yet, but first impressions seems to be well constructed with lots of room and good zippers.

Bought this pocket for my Mystery Ranch pack as an easy to access addition to the waist belt. It?s a great pocket and I?m glad I got the large. It?s not huge, or as big as I expected, but it?s perfect for my needs. I keep my cell phone, headlamp and headlamp charging cable in there, with some room to spare.

Haven?t taken it in the field yet, but it looks well made and I love the ease of attachment and flexibility of placement. Only complaint is that it does not come in the subalpine pattern.

I bought 3 of these for various packs and 1 for my bride. She has another forager, but the small, and it is small. These mount on MR packs really well using the webbing and snaps which is understandable. I'm using them on non-MR packs, and while the attachment is really good these are designed for MR waistbelts. Still, not many of these type accessory pouches on the market, and it is very well built.

I use this on my hip belt for items I need quick access to (mostly snacks). The pouch is sturdy and stays on well. I coated mine with a DWR treatment for a little extra water protection

I move this pocket between hunting packs for my rangefinder and it fits it perfect. Can also work well on the waist for essentials like lip balm, sunscreen, wind check.

Bought these before the archery elk hunt, excellent for range finder, and quick access tools used frequently during the hunt.

Large pouch is perfect size
By Madmark
Got a pair of large pouches for my terraframe 50 and the seem perfect so far. Good size to store a large modern cell phone (I have a pixel 3 xl) plus some other small items. The large is definitely not too much to use on a pack waist belt, seems like a more useful size than the small based on dimensions.
Perfect addition
By Ridge
I purchased the forager pocket and quick draw rangefinder holder to put on my new Mule pack for a recent high country muzzleload elk hunt in Colorado. They were the perfect additions to a great day pack. Was able to fit all my extra loads and bullets in the pocket and having the rangefinder right at my chest when a bull walked in to 48 yds was crucial. Would definitely recommend these add ons for the Muke, as it only had 2 large compartments that would be difficult to access quickly. The load...
